Hoka Bondi 8 Harbor Mist Lunar Rock Women's The ultra-cushioned game-changer. One of the hardest working shoes in the HOKA lineup, the Bondi takes a bold step forward this season reworked with softer, lighter foams and a brand-new extended heel geometry. Taking on a billowed effect, the rear crash pad affords an incredibly sod and balanced ride from heel strike to forefoot transaction. WHAT'S NEW? to work all day and not complain about my feet or knees hurting at the end of the day. They had a wide enough toe box that I didn't pinch my toes either. These are awful; the
supportive arch is gone and the toe box is SO MUCH more narrow (the recommendation from the rep was "to get a wide"; I don't need my whole foot sloshing around in a

I wear my sneakers to run around in daily job of teaching, stairs, distances between schools, currently constantly in hospitals and rehabs for family at fast moments and they are making it possible for me to turn on a dime to help without losing my balance. And they are LIGHT on the feet. The only comment of suggestion is that the designers need to make the insole slightly wider or different design to make the interior edge at the arch not rub. It requires ME to figure that issue out and for the price it's an easy fix by the company. FIX IT PLEASE. Outside of that I highly recommend these Bondi 8's for everyday wear.... Show more

The great part about "naming" a shoe, is that returning customers should (allegedly) know what kind of fit the shoe would provide; however, it seems Hoka has a knack for completely changing the fit of the shoe with every "new model". I'm incredibly disappointed in this fit and really wish Hoka would stop trying to fix what isn't broken; if you look at their competitors (brooks, asics, mizuno) their named shoe shape/fit/support has stayed the same for YEARS, with the only updates being colors - I really wish Hoka could get on board.... I have a high arch and with all the other “apparatus” in my shoes I find it somewhat difficult to slip them on, especially with the elastic there. It is not easy to unlace or lace any of HOKA tennis shoes. They laces do not slide easily through the cut-out holes. These are all issues I wish HOKA would resolve. They are the only shoe I can comfortably wear that are good for my feet, however, the design needs some definite tweaking. For the price especially, these tennis shoes do not really meet a high standard in the details.... Show more

GREAT shoe BUT inner shoe quality deteriorated
31 December 2022
I run 1-2 marathons per year (plus other races) and I've worn the Bondi shoe for quite a few years. The Bondi 8 is fantastic for cushion and width. I am 5'1", 127lbs and I wear a 7.5 wide. I've been wearing the current model for a little over 3 months (2.5 months was marathon training at 40-50 miles per week + a few prep-races) and have experienced some unusual issues. First of all, the tongue is inconsistent with staying centered. I have two pairs ... one stays centered on both shoes and the other refuses to stay centered on the right shoe. I've never had this issue before with any running shoe. I've re-laced the laces multiple times and tried to adjust the tongue but nothing keeps it centered. I've decided it's a slight sewing/production abnormality. The second ... MoreI run 1-2 marathons per year (plus other races) and I've worn the Bondi shoe for quite a few years. I've decided it's a slight sewing/production abnormality. The second issue is the inner heel section is completely torn up after only 3.5 months of running. I keep my old running shoes long after they're retired from training and I could send photos of many Hoka's that don't look as tattered as my current pair. It's a little disappointing for such a pricey shoe. I will keep purchasing because the fit and cushion works well for me but I am disappointed in this decreased quality.... Show more

Like Heaven For Midfoot Arthritis

Hoka's are the only sneakers I put my collapsing worn out feet into. Why? Because no other brand helps my feet with the pain as much as some select styles of Hoka do. Even my doctors recommend Hoka over Brooks.Recently, I bought 2 different styles. The Gaviota 4 and Bondi 8, both 9 1/2, wide. The moment I put the Bondi 8 on, I knew they were a keeper. The insoles have great arch support (didn't need to replace with my custom orthotics). They push off without affecting my recent knee replacement & I felt like I was walking on air.I had a different experience with the Gaviota 4. Not as wide. Over all length seems shorter then Bondi 8 or my older Arahi 5 (another comfy sneaker). The Gaviota 4, to me, aren't as cushiony under the balls of the feet. They aren't as supportive in the arch area as Bondi or Arahi. Also, when I walked, they seemed to put a strain on the knee that had the arthroplasty surgery (3 months ago).If you don't have any real major foot problems, the Gaviota 4 should be fine (it's a nice looking sneaker). Just remember, wide feet might not be able to use this sneaker because it's not a true wide. For problem feet, go with Bondi 8. They are the most comfortable sneakers I HAVE EVER worn. At work, I do about 10,000 steps & unlike other sneakers, my feet are still feeling pretty decent by days end.... Show more

Love the cushion, hate the pain

I used to wear Brooks Adrenalines but decided to try these Bondis (size 8 in the lavender color) because of the extreme cushion. My feet had red lines (almost like a blister was about to form) from the shoes...I wore these for a week thinking I just needed to break them in (even though this has never happened with my Brooks), but the red line situation never improved. Not sure if I will buy again

I have been wearing Hoka One One Bondi since the very beginning. I have owned every version off the Bondi, and I have stocked up on my favorites 6 and 7, unisex suede versions, even some Valors. The spring measurement has decreased 4 in the forefoot, and increased by 3 in the heel. This puts more pressure on the metatarsals/ball of foot. I wear the Bondi because it used to protect the ball of my foot. I wear these shoes because I need them to walk pain free, not because they are pretty. The newest iteration is not as plush. I agree with other reviewers that the shoes can be squeaky at times, and white is never truly white. It is always a very light blue or lavender. Hoka is getting away from the reason so many of us are loyal to the brand. Good, supportive, highly cushioned shoes, minimal heel to toe drop that alleviates forefoot pressure, plantar fasciitis, arthritis , and makes it possible for those of us with problem feet to be able to get out and walk, run and enjoy life with out pain. And keeps people without foot problems running and walking problem free.... Show more

Not the same as my old Bondi's
27 February 2023
My absolute FAVORITE pair of shoes of my life are my old Hokas which are about 4-5 years old and the heel cracked in luggage about 6 months ago and I've been on a quest to replace them. The newer Bondi's are much more narrow and the wides are way too wide. The comfort is just not the same. My original pair was brand new when we did a trip to Italy and walked over 20 miles in a day and my feet were so happy! The new Bondi's don't compare. I got the same size and my toes were so squished that the first pair I purchased I donated after 2 weeks. Just not comfortable. Wore them one day on vacation and had to stop and buy sandals half way through the first day because I had so many blisters I could barely wal--the plastic on the side dug into my heel on both feet, the cushioning was not comfortable and I had blisters on the ball of my foot and side of my toe and under my heel. I think I may never find a pair that matches my originals. I wish I could get a pair of the originals. Really bummed out.... Show more

Still Adjusting, but Happy with These Shoes
1 May 2023
Just a few days after receiving the shoes, I fell and injured my knee (the shoes were NOT involved), and I wasn't able to put on any shoe I couldn't simply slide on, so I haven't been able to wear these as much as I would have liked. Still, I'm LOVING the springiness and responsiveness of the shoe. Getting used to the extra width of the sole has been interesting, especially on stairs, but these are very comfortable shoes. I got these in particular for walking on sidewalks and city streets because we moved a few months ago from living in the country, where I walked grassy hills in hiking shoes, and those shoes were just not supporting me the way I needed on the extensive pavement I now find myself in. Enter HOKA.I ordered a wide, and the laces were very tight when I first got the shoe, so it took a few days of adjustments before I could get the shoe on easily. It still is a bit more snug than I like, but I'm slowly getting there. The elastic that helps hold the tongue in place is handy but also makes it a bit more challenging to get my wide foot into. I would like that to be a bit roomier for the wide foot, but it's certainly adequate. So far, I have worn the shoes only for a few short walks and some unpacking, so I can't speak to how comfortable they will be on a long walk on the sidewalks and streets, but my feet--and especially my recovering knee--have truly appreciated the springiness of the shoe so far--enough that I'm saving up for a pair of sandals for the summer.... Superlative comfort and a stylish look

I've worn holes in the material in my previous pairs, and this pair is already sagging a little bit in the back. The design needs more reinforcement. Always unlace your shoes before slipping them on to prevent "heel collapse."Verdict: 4.5 stars.... Show more
