As others have mentioned, you do have to size up a full size, at least from Cliftons. I sized up 1.5 sizes from my Cliftons, and the base of the 1.5 size bigger Bondi SR is almost the same size.As others have mentioned, this shoe is really stiff out of the box. Two toes got really bruised from going down hills on day one in these since they're so stiff. The uppers do loosen up. After one week of 1 hour/day exercise, it was a lot more comfortable and not cutting into the top of my foot or bruising my toes anymore.Pro: I was looking for a shoe I wouldn't slip in when it rains as the Cliftons get slippery. This definitely does the trick. I haven't had issues even going down hills (on roads) with these.Cons:- The base of the shoe is very stiff, and hasn't ... MoreAs others have mentioned, you do have to size up a full size, at least from Cliftons. This definitely does the trick. I haven't had issues even going down hills (on roads) with these.Cons:- The base of the shoe is very stiff, and hasn't loosened up -- I think it's made this way. Because it's so stiff, whenever I go over an unexpected uneven bit of pavement, I worry about my foot twisting.- It's a much heavier shoe due to the materials. After using these shoes for 2 straight weeks in the rain, I switched back to my old Cliftons today and it was like when I first fell in love with Hoka's - light and airy, and as a result, my times were 1 minute less per mile. I hadn't realized there had been such a significant impact of this heavier shoe.So the bottom line is that this shoe does what it says in terms of being slip resistant, so great for exercise in the rain. As long as you size up and break them in, they're mostly comfortable. You do have to be careful of uneven terrain, and when it's dry out, I won't be using these.

I have chronic plantar fasciitis and wear custom orthotics. Thus, I'm always on the lookout for shoes with great cushion and superb support. The Bondi SR has firm maximum cushion and excellent arch support. The shoe is not as bouncy has the Adidas Ultraboost nor the New Balance X More v4. I usually wear a 13 regular, but on this shoe I needed a wide. Maybe it's the orthotics or the leather, but, after exchanging for the wide size I was in Heaven. The shoes fit extremely comfortable with absolutely no unwanted pressure or rubbing. The regular size rubbed on the outside of my heels. I love the rocking motion when one walks and the feel is just easy comfort. I put the shoes on and went for a 5 mile walk with absolutely no discomfort. Yes, I know you should break them ... MoreI have chronic plantar fasciitis and wear custom orthotics. Thus, I'm always on the lookout for shoes with great cushion and superb support. There is a reason why so many in the health fields, me included, love these shoes... you can walk and stand in them for hours if not days. Sure, they're "clunky"... but, clunky is fashionable.

I am a nurse and a "mid-size" woman with bunionettes (small bunions on the pinky toe side). I work 12hr shifts with a lot of walking and standing time and was having trouble finding a shoe that supported my feet without causing them pain to the lateral part of my forefoot. These shoes have met and surpassed my needs in every way. The leather keeps my feet dry from spills and cleanup is easy. The slip resistant sole is superb, I am confident maneuvering freshly mopped floors. The cushion has helped my knee pain as well as my foot pain, I can walk 10,000 steps and more with comfort. Using a men's size 10 when I typically wear a women's size 11 wide keeps my foot supported in the shoe without rubbing on my bilateral bunionettes. I've been wearing Bondi 7's for several years now and absolutely LOVE them. I wear them for work (I'm a letter carrier). They're a Godsend for my bad back... ever since I began wearing Hoka's, I've been able to ditch my regular chiropractic visits. Every chance I get, I recommend them to other carriers, and several coworkers are now Hoka fans for life.Well management changed and now they wanted to enforce dress code rules, which means I had to switch to leather shoes. I immediately bought a pair of Bondi SR's because I felt it would be a perfect pick. Four days into wearing these and I just can't. My feet hurt so bad. They don't seem to have nearly the same amount of padding on the bottom, and despite being a good fit, I'm getting blisters. Hoka has been very confusing recentlyI've been a size 13 in Hoka for 6 years, until this summer when trying new Bondi 8 I needed 13 wide (while my old size 13 Hoka's all still fit fine)I have a pair of green hiking Hoka's I really like so got these Bondi SR in what I thought was the same green, and in 13 wide like the Bondi 8 I tried, but the green was not the same, the leather looked plasticy, and the shoes felt a half size too long and much too wideSo I exchanged them for a pair of regular width 13 in a color I think is called oat milk, should be similar to the oat milk Bondi 8 I liked. They do not look like the same color in real lifeOh wellthe shoe was comfortable at first and fit better but the sole and cushion is much harder than Bondi 8 and ended up ... MoreHoka has been very confusing recentlyI've been a size 13 in Hoka for 6 years, until this summer when trying new Bondi 8 I needed 13 wide (while my old size 13 Hoka's all still fit fine)I have a pair of green hiking Hoka's I really like so got these Bondi SR in what I thought was the same green, and in 13 wide like the Bondi 8 I tried, but the green was not the same, the leather looked plasticy, and the shoes felt a half size too long and much too wideSo I exchanged them for a pair of regular width 13 in a color I think is called oat milk, should be similar to the oat milk Bondi 8 I liked. I work in a retail store where I often have to go back into a warehouse where the floor is covered in broken glass -my old Hoka sneakers would get splinters of glass that would literally work themselves through the sole and up into the insole of my shoe (it leaves dark craters and feels like, "The Princess ans the Pea," when glass is super close to your foot,)These shoes are much thicker and do not allow that. However, the actual souls are still weak.Enough rubber that when I step on hard surfaces they wear off or pieces clip off quickly.I am not.Complaining, these shoes are brilliant and they are the best thing I found in the last few years to reduce foot pain.I would love to see hoka make boots-level footwear that could be used in a straight up environment ... MoreI work in a retail store where I often have to go back into a warehouse where the floor is covered in broken glass -my old Hoka sneakers would get splinters of glass that would literally work themselves through the sole and up into the insole of my shoe (it leaves dark craters and feels like, "The Princess ans the Pea," when glass is super close to your foot,)These shoes are much thicker and do not allow that. I've been searching for a well built and comfortable shoes that offer support all around. I'm a huge fan of HOKA's but the shoes with the mesh uppers don't work well for me as the type of support I need for my feet. These have a solid foundation, strong upper support and are perfect for walking and wearing everyday casually. I do have flat feet and Planters fasciitis and use inserts to address those issues. These shoes along with the inserts has total alleviated my pain and making walking long distances very pleasurable. So much that I have already purchased 2 of these in different colors and plan on ordering again soon. Hoka... Don't discontinue these please! One of the best shoes ever in your product lineups.
I developed plantar fasciitis in January. By June, I realized that it was not going to simply go-away, and it was agonizing and disruptive to every aspect of my life. I finally decided to buy some footwear that would at least make walking and standing less painful, so after some research, I settled on these Hoka shoes. Within a week of wearing these shoes for everything, I no longer had any pain. I was still limping, as this limp had become my "normal" gait. I had to consciously make myself start walking in a normal fashion again, but the pain was gone and has not returned. I don't know if I'm the exception to the rule, but these shoed did not merely help alleviate my PF pain, they absolutely cured the issue. I have to be careful not to forget and do a lot of walking around my house barefooted, because I can start to feel the PF trying to rear its ugly head when I do, so I plan on buying some Hoka slip on sandals for when I am slumming around the house. I'm a backcountry hunter, and I am now debating on whether I will be wearing my 490.00 Zamberlains into the mountains this year or whether I'll risk rolling an ankle and choose to wear these Hokas. Regardless, thank you Hoka for making this shoe; it's given me my life-without-a-limp-and-awful-pain back!
I bought this shoes a year ago used it to my job in the food court of Costco. Anti-slip and waterproof of this shoes work very well. I've been buying Hoka Bondi's for many years now. I just bought the olive SR's in men's because I don't want black and I don't want white. The representative told me to get a size men's size 7, as I am a women's size 9. I actually bought a 7 1/2, concerned that they might be a little too snug. I received these. These are too short. I talked to three different Hoka reps- they all had different answers. Nobody knows. I wish Hoka would make decent colors in the women's Bondis. The men's are so much better. Hoka, please notice, all the small sizes in the men's shoes run out, because women are buying them because the women's colors are so much uglier. Just because you're a woman doesn't mean you want to wear light pink or powder blue. Please come up with better colors ... MoreI've been buying Hoka Bondi's for many years now.
