Back in the Hoka Universe
Having plantar fasciitis a few years back and feeling as if the lights of heaven shown down upon my feet just by putting on the Arahi was wonderful. I am back at again with peroneal tendonitos. Ah, but the Arahi had changed since I bought them 4 years ago. Do they help, heck yes. I have worn them for approximately 6 months straight. No other shoe. I even wore the black ones with my ankle brace (needed that as well for the tendon). Time for a new pair. I am also interested in the Ora recovery slide to change it up in the. I have to check and see how much of a difference there is for my heel, etc, You can't go wrong wit these sneaks. I love them and they also help with my pronated ankles! I'm a hot mess right.... Comfortable but will fall apart in 4 months
When I first got these, I loved them. So comfortable I could walk forever. I walk about 12 miles a week, and about a month ago, I was walking and felt a blister forming. When I got home, I noticed that the inside of the heel was worn so much it had a hole. I got these in Jan, and this should definitely not be happening. I’ve walked triple that a week and have shoes last longer than that. During today's walk, I felt the same blister feeling on the other heel of my foot. Now both have holes on the inside of the heel. Not worth the money; horrible I will go back to Brooks, whose quality is way better and last longer than a couple months.... Show more

Comfortable, Great Support for Plantar Fasciitis
Very comfy, great fit. Not a runner. More of a walker. Doctor recommended these for plantar fasciitis. Rotated these with Merrell, Keens and Brooks. For me, these were the most comfortable for running errands, taking walks and shopping. After ~ 6 months of rotated wear, the heel 9backside of shoe) on one foot wore down to the plastic and caused a huge blister while out walking the dog. Returned to REI, manager said it was probably due to the fact I used a shoe horn? While in the store, tried both Arahi and Brooks Adreneline and the Arahi won the comfort/support test on my foot. Waiting for next release to come out in April, but will be giving Hoka a second chance.... Show more

Good Shoe for the Right Foot
I really liked the Arahi. The gusset holds the tongue, so you can slide your foot in while standing. Looks good and felt good in the store. The laces are amazing. They stay tied without double knots. Unfortunately, it didn't work out for me. I could benefit from a stability shoe, but since I have no arch, the stiffer foam under the instep hurt my arch after wearingall day. The shoe is also narrow. Thankfully, Fllet Feet accepts returns even after wearing for a few days. I ended up with a challenger in wide.... Show more

Great Shoe. - Hoka Convert
My 1st pair of Hokas. Worn them for 3 months. An amazing shoe!I’m a life long Nike Structure wearer and I developed severe case of achilles tendinitis on right foot. Dealt with it for a year and tried numerous recommended treatments and different shoes, including latest Structures with more cushioning at achilles area. After hearing so much about Hokas and doing some research, I went to REI to try a pair. The Arahi 6 did the trick with its stability and max cushioning. It’s 5mm heel-to-toe drop (vs Nike Structure at 8mm) and more cushioning at back of foot in achillies area have been the key.I’m back to running and building back my miles.I’m buying my second pair.... Great shoe, lots of support
Let me start off by saying that I'm only giving 4 stars because I want to see how long this shoe will last. The other day I did a 5K run/jog while carrying my four year old in a backpack. Even with the extra load the shoes gave me support on every stride. It's been the most comfortable running shoe I have in rotation at this moment. I can definitely see myself running a marathon in these. Great for road running but not so sure about taking them on the trail. The only downside I have is that it's a bit narrow in the mid area of the feet but I have wide feet to begin with.Overall a great shoe, would recommend. Hope they come out with more colorways.... Show more

Lots of room in the toe box, helped my landing and increased my stride length
I bought these to find a shoe with more room in the toe box so it is not too tight and restrictive on the forefoot. These serve that purpose well.An added bonus was that they changed my heel strike to be nearly a full foot landing. This is much easier on my knees. They also are more cushioned and elevated than my previous NB shoe which was discontinued. I was concerned this might increase pronation but it is working out well. Something bad happens and something better comes along. Seems to be a life theme. Also these shoes have increased my stride length by 10% - I think from the extra cushion and bounce in the sole.I hope they last for 6 months or more and then I'll be back for more.... Not For Everyone
The shoe felt great for about a month and then started to lose the cushion- fast. First shoe in ages I've had wear in the heel and in less than 3 months the bottom is already losing its grip in the key contact areas.I'm just a walker so it's a bit surprising they wore so quickly. And while I walk a lot I'm not impressed with the durability. I expect my shoes to last 4-6 months. Which means with these Arahi 6's I'd have to buy a least two pairs to one pair of other brands.Last criticism is that I had an insole die in these shoes in a very weird way. The insole started making a snapping sound with each step. I've never had this happen with another shoe. This shoe obviously isn't for everyone.... Show more

Worn twice. Blisters on both feet.
I heard so many good things about Hoka shoes that I purchased the Arahi 6. They were expensive but I wanted a comfortable, walk in all day shoe and I'm always willing to spend the money for a quality product. I tried them on in store and they felt very comfortable. I wore them one day and noticed they were causing soreness on the inside of both my heels. I thought I had simply worn to thick of socks with them or they needed a little bit to break in. I wore them the next day and instantly regretted it. My feet were so sore by the end of the day I rushed home to kick these off! They caused redness and blistered both of my feet on the inside part of my heel. I didn't keep the receipt or the box (my fault) so these expensive blister makers will sit in my closet until I ...
