I have been having issues with blisters on my feet and also being able to feel the rocks and so beneath my feet under normal sneakers. I was wearing Pro Keds high tops before and got lots of blisters. Once I switched to the HOKA Transport all issues were fixed. I broke them in a few miles at a time and had to break them in since the cushions felt tight. After a week of say 10 miles of walks total the sneakers are perfect. I wore the first pair of Hoka's for about 300 miles and am on the 2nd pair for about 20 miles. They are very comfortable and my favorite sneakers to walk in for exercise. My first pair had the fabric wearing thin within a few months of casual use. We exchanged them under the warranty. After only 2 months it started happening again and I'm now having to return them.For comparison, I normally run in ASICS gel nimbus and retire them to a casual walking shoe after 400-500 miles or so. This is my first HOKA shoe outside of the Clifton line-up so I am mostly comparing the sizing/fit to those. At first try, the shoe is easy to put on and lace. I opted to keep the quick-cinch laces and love them. The mid foot region and toe-box is quite narrow compared to my Cliftons of the same shoe size so hopefully they wear in with continued use (~2.5 weeks in, still tight). I mainly got these because they are water-resistant and my walking commute to the hospital can be wet and rainy as well as never knowing what fluid can get on my shoes in the hospital. The shoe is firm, but comfortable with all day use. I am on my feet all day and have not had issues with foot pain as some other reviewers say. The shoes are quick and responsive. I absolutely love the shoe for its look and function, but gave it 3 stars due to the narrow toe-box (-1) and the loud, embarrassing squeak at the end of the day (-1). This might be a product/material failure. I will keep the shoe despite everyone hearing me walking from a mile away at the end of each day. Hopefully HOKA an fix this issue in future models.

With the Transports I got the "Hoka Squeek" within the first week of wearing on the left shoe and a big gash in the sole that has started peeling back on the right shoe. I had high hopes for the vibram sole but this one doesn't hold up. I tried to initiate a warranty but sending them back and waiting for them to evaluate will take about 2 weeks and they may just send them back to me citing normal wear and tear. I decided I would spend the extra money and try the Hoka transport (Castle Rock/Black). The shoes fit according to size. They had a different feel when I first tried them on but after a short walk they felt amazing. Great support and a wonderful feeling on my feet. I no longer like to wear my leather dress shoes and more interested in comfort. My wife doesn't like the look of an athletic shoe for a dressy occasion so I decided the Hoka was so comfortable that I would compromise and purchased a 2nd pair in all black. I could typically get a year of wear out of them before it started in the Bondis, but I am now four wears into the Transports and both shoes already sound like I'm walking on my dog's squeaker toys with every step. I have always considered it ridiculous that this would happen even after a year in premium road running shoes at a premium price, but after 4 wears it is egregiously unacceptable. This clearly is a design flaw that Hoka designers either can't fix or won't, so I think it's time to try other options.
