I easily surpass 10,000 steps daily. More like 15-20k. These shoes keep my feet happy and keep me going strong. Super comfortable to the point I don't even think about foot discomfort. I just keep going! I also wear these to the gym for weight training. Leg presses, squats, calf raises; they get the job done there as well. Sturdy and stable. Now for the cosmetic stuff. I AM IN LOVE with how these look! The classic understated style really stands out in a world of 'busy' confetti and bling. The style of Hoka's 'Leather' shoes pair well with anything from business casual to running shorts and attract attention and inquiries. Please keep these models (Bondi L & Gaviota L) going, Hoka! Cult level enthusiasm here 🙌🌟👌

Unfortunately, my knees are as old as I am - and one had an ACL repair back when they were using the patellar tendon! That was surg #4. Prior to that I'd been an avid race-walker and won every 5k I entered. But alas, motherhood and residency added to the wear and tear. THEN came along the Cliftons. What joy!! Until they redesigned them after the3's. So what's a girl to do? Well hello Mr. tricked-out Bondi. Top of the line I think and what a great pair of shoes! Better yet, my old knee may have another 50k mi left on it. We'll see. 'U Bondi L' is on the label inside the tongue. I still alternate days with my other Bondi'. (Don't tell Mr. Clifton but I think these are as good as the Cliftons I loved). I work in a concrete floors in a huge warehouse. I stand for 8 hours a day and constantly standing and walking all the shifts for 40 hours a week. My feet hurts so bad it seems I have been on lot of gravel for long hours. I was advised to get hoka shoes. I came to find out that it's very pricey!!!! But because of its highly recommended by someone I trusted I went and buy two pairs. I didn't regret it at all. In facts, my husband had me bought for him too. I recommend hoka shoes for my family and friends. It's all worth it!!!

I tried a different shoe that was very comfortable, but the soul was way too high for me. I am 62 years old and my balance is poor. So I called them up and asked if they had a low sole shoe. They told me which one I should buy and I said the soles looks very high. She said that your foot sinks down so it just looks like it's high, but because your foot is down all the way this sole would be fine. I wore the shoe and fell a couple times because it is sole. It's always on the stairs that I have a problem. I can't return them now since I used them for a couple days to see if I like them so if you're able to walk without having balance issues, these probably would be wonderful. I actually bought this shoe- Hoka M Bondi 7 size 12.5 for vacationing in Paris, France. I knew that I would need extra cushioning due to uneven streets and cobble stone sidewalks in Paris. In 2020 I had purchased Hoka - Marahi 4 size 12.5 on the recommendation of my podiatrist due to foot issues I was experiencing and had no problems with the shoes. I think the heel is not as narrow and I ended up with a blister on my right big toe after walking around Paris for 7 days. I have never had a blister on my feet even after completing a marathon. Obviously, this shoe is not suitable for my foot. I would recommend the Hoka brand because it is a well constructed, high quality shoe.
I personally have three pairs of Hokas and have also bought my daughter some for her birthday as well since I love the aupport they provide..I was disappointed with the Bondi L pair I got within weeks the rubber on the tip of the shoes came apart. I loved the feel of the shoe and had not worn in rain etc. I thought if i used a drop of super glue to bond it together it would work it did not. I could see maybe one shoe but both had issues so I assume could be a flaw with this shoe. I would not recommend getting this style again which is unfortunate since I did like the look of it.
These are my favorite Hokas. I work retail on concrete floors. These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I think they're better than the Bondi 8. My first 2 pairs were 1 pair orange & 1 pair blue. I've realized the white soles have the most cushion. When color is added to the sole, it's less cushy. After buying over 10 pairs, white soles are the cushiest. 3rd pair was all tan, I don't wear them often, they look like old people orthopedics, lol, and I'm 55. Then I ordered 2 all black pairs. The all tan & all black are definitely narrower than my original 2 pairs in orange & blue. Now you can only get the blue ones. Please bring back the orange color and some other fun colors. I like my shoes to be colorful.
I'm a big fan of my Hokas (I have 4 pairs) and love my orange Bondi 7's. I've been trying to find another pair to be able to swap in because I've noticed that the outer back of the shoes are wearing so at some point they'll be so worn down, I'll have to retire them. I'd heard too many negative things about the Bondi 8's so for an upcoming trip to Europe, I thought I would upgrade my shoes and I saw the navy blue Bondi L's which look less like running shoes and slightly more low key. I tried them in the house for a week wearing them for an hour or two at a time and thought all was good. Sizing was great, toe box was perfect and with the plush rating, I figured it would feel similar to my 7's. Boy was I wrong. Sizing was great, toe box was perfect and with the plush rating, I figured it would feel similar to my 7's. Boy was I wrong. I went for my first outdoor walk which was 3-miles and when I took my shoes off, I noticed that the balls of my feet and my heels were not happy. Walking around my house (I have hardwood floors) was very painful. My feet were really sore and I could not bare to walk around barefoot. I had to go seek out my Allbird ballet slippers just to have some sort of barrier between my feet and the floor. I thought perhaps that I just hadn't broken them in enough and that my feet are just too sensitive? I've worn my Bondi 7s just to compare and these still continue to feel great. No issues at all so I thought I'd give the Bondi L's another go and I've worn them a few more times over the past few weeks and I'm sad to say that my feet just don't get along with this model. While the Bondi L's look more stylish, they are not going to be the shoes I go out for long walks for and definitely not the ones that I travel with. I'll see if throwing in other inserts help but the Bondi L's are likely going to go back into their box and will sit on the shelf. So sad that I spent this much money for shoes that hurt.
I expected zero issues with these model, as I already have them in suede, and also have a pair of Clifton L - alas, they were way too snug and also too short compared to the other two pairs of the same size to wear them for more than a few steps. I would have exchanged them for a larger size perhaps, but what I disliked very much, and couldn't be fixed by a different size, was the interior material of the shoe - super scratchy, even through regular/medium thickness cotton socks. Compared to these, the Bondi L in suede and the Clifton L in suede are like ... fluffy clouds. A pity, I really wanted to love them, and I wanted a pair in black for winter for my long walks, but I returned them.Apart from the above, these are great shoes, very light, super well made. ... MoreI expected zero issues with these model, as I already have them in suede, and also have a pair of Clifton L - alas, they were way too snug and also too short compared to the other two pairs of the same size to wear them for more than a few steps. I'm wearing these for my daily forest hikes with the dog and pleased by them mostly when I take them off and my feet and ankles don't hurt all evening. The upper is too stretchy to allow the shoe to function as a hiking shoe because my feet move too much inside the shoe (when I step on steep rocks) no matter how tight I lace them up. They have sufficient traction to grip on angled, mossy, damp rocks, which I really appreciate on unmanaged and relatively remote trails where, if I slipped and hurt myself, I'd be alone for days before someone found me.I would encourage Hoka to create a hiking shoe with a stiff upper and ankle support. I would definitely buy them!
