From now on I will purchase a new pair each summer just because I want to get as much iperformance & support out of them as the manufacturer intended. The arch support is phenomenal. The plush cushioning is better than any shoe I've ever worn. I bought these when they only had two colors and were sold as unisex flip-flops. At that time I bought a size 10. Now that they produce women's and men's flip flops the sizes seem to be different. I wear a men's 8.5, which is comparable to a woman's 10. When I bought the women's flip-flop I ordered a 10. The women's was a tad bit too small. I gifted it to my daughter and bought myself a women's size 11. It seems like the women's sizes run smaller. So buy one size up just to be safe.

A wet slide means your toes hanging are out over the end. Waiting for my slides to wear out and will replace them with ONLY the flip. I have both and my slides are just turning into bedside slippers. For more active out of doors - not just feeling good after you're done on the track, try the flip. I'm thinking about going with the whole sandal but the problem with that like Keens, once you get a piece of sand or a pebble in there, it's hard to get out, esp if your arms are full (kids, bags, or beach gear). I will say wet (even rain shower), Hoka flip is orders of magnitude more stable than Ooofos sandals of any style. Not as cushy as Ooofos, but immensely more stable and just as therapeutic for active tired legs... Birkenstocks can't get wet under any circumstance unless it's the molded EVA and even then that doesn't stop your toes from sliding up over the edge which is a real danger. The next thing you know you have twisted an ankle. I wish HOKA would think more about sandal stability in the foot bed becomes inadvertently or intentionally wet. I'm not talking about water sports just every day variable summer conditions.... Ok HOKA? Lastly, I will say only go with the waterproof hikers for winter.

This is my second pair that has a defect on the left heel. I love the color as well as the fit and comfort. However, once again I have to return it due to the lean and imbalance with the left shoe. I spoke with customer service. They would not assist me due to there not being a review or report of this experience. HELLO,I'm the first. with that being said I will be ordering it in a different color 😔. I rwas so excited to break into spring with a vibrant color. Hopefully it will be balanced. No one wants a brand new lopsided shoe. I feel customer service could have offered a discount seeing how quickly the turn around was and not wanting a refund but an undefected shoe. I’ve bought three pair of these and am about to buy another, just in case they stop making them. As a nurse with plantar fasciitis, there were days I couldn’t walk after getting off work. The only way to go without pain was to wear my shoes with my orthotics in them all the time. I bought the peach coloured ones first and they were amazing, but they disappeared from the store. I then bought two of the black pairs which were more firm than the other pair and I was worried that they wouldn’t be the same. They are still Firmer, but they benefit me just as much and match better with my clothes. I like that I can put lotion and oil on my feet and it doesn’t absorb into the sandals, But allows my feet to become soft and supple. but I can see how this could be a problem ... I would love to give these flip-flops five stars. There is a lot to say about their virtues in terms of comfort, cushion and lightweight sturdiness. I even love a few of the colors, especially the mauve ones! Here's the "but," and it may not apply to you: my feet are exceptionally wide (like, off the bell curve; like, think "troll doll," yeah ... real wide). Across many shoe brands, I wear size 8 to accommodate my width, even though my foot length is actually more like a size 6. I've accepted this. Fine, I'll always have extra toe-room. Pushy shoe sales people often insist I try on a 6, first, and I'm always right: I need a size 8. Here's the "but," and it may not apply to you: my feet are exceptionally wide (like, off the bell curve; like, think "troll doll," yeah ... real wide). Across many shoe brands, I wear size 8 to accommodate my width, even though my foot length is actually more like a size 6. I've accepted this. Fine, I'll always have extra toe-room. Pushy shoe sales people often insist I try on a 6, first, and I'm always right: I need a size 8. With Hoka's flip-flop, even though the 8 fits pretty well on both the length and the width, the thong on top is not roomy enough for the girth of my muscle-y, little troll feet, and I get a blister underneath the strap (where it hits my second toe). The irritation that causes the blister might not happen if the thong design didn't pull towards the outside of the foot (see the shape!), and was instead directed straight back towards my leg, like a regular flip-flop. I had to return. Because I want these shoes to help as I rehab an injury, I ended up buying a pair, locally, in a size 9. The size 9 thong strap fits great, but OMG the shoe bed is extra-big for my foot. I find it hilarious (I look like I'm wearing a pair of flip-flops pulled from Michael Jordan's closet). Still, the size 9s feel totally fine for walks in the sunshine, so I got them. I wish the 8s had fit, though, because the foot bed is a much better fit.
These are wonderful, the cloth thong is genius! I first tried the regular Ora which was fine on my plantar fasciitis foot, but bothered my "good" foot, so back those went. Then I tried the Ora Luxe, but it was simply too wide. Then I saw the flip, and it's excellent rating from podiatrists, so decided to try one more time.I'm so glad I gave it one more try. I liked my original pair so much, I ordered two more pairs. This is going to sound like a variation on the fairy tale "The Princess & the Pea", but I had to send the red pair back because the wonderful cloth thong on one flip had a bit of something (perhaps glue?) that made it stiff and painful between my toes.My first pair is my favorite -- love the blue and sunshine colors -- so in a few months I might be ... I ordered a pair of your recovery flip flops on the recommendation of my doctor due to some issues with my feet. I LIVE in flip flops for 10 months of the year. I usually buy several pairs of inexpensive ones and replace them as they wear out. I wasn't happy with having to spend a much larger amount on shoes for myself and didn't really expect much of a difference. I was a little weary of ordering online without trying them first but availability near me was low. I did find though that ordering was very easy, and they arrived much sooner than stated. At first, I hated everything about them except the color. I put them on and immediately put them back in the box to return. MY FEET LOVE THEM! My feet don't hurt like they did, my back doesn't hurt as much if I'm on my feet too long and they're just all around comfortable! They look great. They're extremely lightweight. They clean easily. I have wide feet and was a little worried about that however they fit perfectly. I wear an 8.5 and went with a 9. Perfect! I'll order them again and am looking into other HOKA footwear also.
