Most hose fittings do not connect to the hose properly. To overcome this some manufacturers have resorted to permanent hose fittings that are machine fitted to the hose. Unfortunately these are not re-usable. Holman has solved the problem of hoses pulling out or leaking from fittings. The new fittings with “Grip’N’Lock Technology” ensure the hose connection is strong and leak-free. Plus you have the great flexibility to remove and re-use the fittings. Features: Connect or disconnect the fitting with the lock mechanism. Longer tail and sharper barb for the best hose connection. Higher compression due to to new engineered separate olive with sharp teeth.

I remember not being able to work out how to put these on my hose and accidentally picked up the clue from a response from Holman replying to my querying email. If you wind off the collar there is a coloured thingy (let’s call it a “necklace”) visible. To access this is a bit tricky because you need some pointed object to insert into a slot on the necklace to pull it out from the hose fitting. (My fingernails didn’t work.). You put the collar onto the hose as usual, then stretch the necklace out a bit to put it onto the hose (facing the same direction as before, leaving a couple of centimetres of hose exposed, then push /wriggle the hose into its home as far as you can. Then push the collar and its necklace home and then very firmly wind the collar onto the hose ... If ever you get a back dribble at any stage just unwind the back collar and do another push. Nothing tolerates forever the waggling and pulling that moving hoses around causes.Excellent stuff, Holman - just give more details/illustrations on the card attached to the displayed product.

Less than a year old, will not stay clipped onto the hose and keeps bursting off. Tried to use WEED AND FEED the fitting doesn't fit the WEED AND FEED applicator on the product... Don't waste your money, spend a little extra and buy a better quality fitting! Disappointed! You buy cheap you get cheap I guess!

My husband can't get it to attach , I thought I would try , recut the hose for a smooth edge , soaked end in hot water to soften , it will not slide under the blue prongs. I bought the matching hand hose attachment - will give it a couple more tries , throw this part away and luckily I haven't detatched the hose nozzle from card - will take that part back and pay more and buy hopefully a better quality product

I bought the hose with fittings from Bunnings last month. For the life of me I cannot get the hose to connect to the tap without it leaking significantly. I have used 2 different connections for the hose/tap. Wasted much time.
Not worth it...a cheaper brand is working longer than this Holman brand. Slight pressure and the white clips inside broke, been only 2 months. Had 2 of these and both broke the same way.
They really should come with the actual hose pipe so it works out of the box - but yeah all good
Works the best of all the brands I've tried. The cheapies are a waste of money. These grip extremely well, just make sure to take out the blue "crown" grip collars, as trying to get the hose in with it in place is very difficult, but taking it out, putting the screw end over the hose, then the blue crown, then assemble, dead easy. Don't know why they didn't make it clearer on the instructions. The brass ones look nice, but apart from being more expensive, don't work any better.
I purchased 2 of these fittings, took them home put on my hose, it leaked like a sieve, I tried it on several different hoses and taps, tried the second one with the same result! Took it straight back to my local store with in 15 minutes of purchase!
Hose pops off with the slightest bit of pressure. The collar is for aesthetics only - it does not tighten against the hose.
Nozzle keeps bursting off connectorConnector keeps bursting off hose (which is a Holeman hose)Top dollar for inferior product
