Gentle Gel Cleaners—this cleanser lathers up to delicately remove makeup and grime. My skin feels calm and soft (a little tight) using this product. The smell is clean and fresh like ginger, camomile, and roses. From time-to-time I do experience the slightest stinging in my eyes but my eyes are sensitive. I’d say go in with a cleansing balm to remove eye makeup.

So far I adore this cleanser. It has a light lather and doesn’t dry my face out after use. If anything it’s best for combo or oily skin. It does have a strong scent though, similar to ginger or some kind of spice. It isn’t a bad smell but I thought it was a little too much for my taste. A little goes a long way so the bottle should last you a lil while. Aaaaand it’s a great price for what it’s worth 💖

This is an amazing cleanser to remove makeup! And the price is great. I love this brand because they’re ACTUALLY CLEAN. At first I was worried reading in the description that you may wash your face with another cleanser, after using it to remove makeup but all that worry was gone once I actually used it. I even swiped my face with micellar water to see what the damage was and there was no makeup residue on my cotton pad! It’s also gentle on my sensitive skin. I will continue to buy this product. Thank goodness for affordable clean brands such as this. I dare even say it’s better than the biossance cleanser!

Pros I really like the idea behind this product. It has a nice texture and feels nice on the skin. The scent is pleasant and makes my skin really soft. Cons I have been using this to double cleanse along with the Honest Gentle Gel Cleanser (with the Konjac sponge) and while they provide a very nice experience, it does not remove eye make up. It was kind of disappointing as that was the whole point of this product. I’m having to use a 3rd product to remove eye make up when at that point I can just skip this one altogether. Therefore, I will not be purchasing it again.
I am not really impressed with this makeup remover. I've tried many over the years and this one just doesn't cut it. For some context, I don't wear heavy makeup but I do wear it almost daily. I usually wear one layer of tinted moisturizer with a bit of concealer under my eyes (both from Honest), a small amount of bronzer and blush, and mascara (from Honest.) The container says it is meant to be used as the first step of a double cleanse. But I feel like it does almost nothing to help remove my makeup. After using it my skin felt like there was a film on top, like I just splashed water over my makeup. There didn't seem like there was much of a difference to when I double cleanse with only my regular cleanser. I also find that it didn't clean my mascara off very well ... MoreI am not really impressed with this makeup remover. I've tried many over the years and this one just doesn't cut it. This was recommended by Penn Smith as a first cleanse so I went and bought it. I enjoy the oil part, but once I add the water to emulsify the finish my face goes sahara dry and squeaky clean which I hate. Couldn't figure out what was causing this dryness even on my fingers after washing then I saw clay is in it the it all made sense. I wouldn't buy this again because my skin type is dry, but if your oily then maybe this will be great for you. Also it irritates my eyes.
This cleanser is a real find. I have sensitive, dry skin prone to hormonal breakouts - lovely combination. I tried oil cleansers for a while as a first cleanse, but they irritated my skin over time. This clay based cleanser is much more effective as a first cleanse, gentle and non irritating. Glides on smoothly onto a dry face, and then you add water to lather and rinse. Takes off makeup effectively, to prep skin for second cleanse. Leaves a film and won't rinse off completely, but follow with a second cleanse and you're all set!
I wasn’t sure about this, but I was really looking for clean products that I could apply to a dry face before hopping in the shower. I must say, this feels really good on my skin when applied to a dry face, but doesn’t feel like it rinses clean afterwards. I always double cleanse with a cerave gel cleanser, so it isn’t a deal breaker. I haven’t used this to try to remove makeup, because I prefer my balm from versed for that. For reference, I have combination skin that’s acne prone. This product has not made me breakout. If this is also able to dual as an efficient makeup remover, then I would continue to purchase. But if it doesn’t, then I probably would stick to this product during winter months because it does feel hydrating.
I’ve been moving away from cleansers that leave my skin squeaky clean to one’s that leave my skin moisturized. I bought this because of the high rating on the EWG site. I really like the cleanser and how it turns milky after adding water. It makes my skin feel clean and really soft. And doesn’t strip my skin like some of my previous cleansers. I don’t wear a lot of makeup so I can’t say how it performs taking off makeup. Will definitely buy again. Taking off one star for the plastic packaging which is not easy to clean and recycle.
I've been using this at night and am underwhelmed. The ad made it seem like this would be good for removing makeup. I don't wear very much makeup but when I do I wear waterproof eyeliner. It definitely did not take that off. That isn't a dealbreaker for me but I also found the cleanser is thick and takes a LOT of water to rinse off. I don't like the texture. I don't apply it around my eyes but I always seem to get a bit in there when I'm trying to scrub it off and it's very irritating. I do really like the light rose water scent. It's not a terrible cleanser but I do regret buying it. The Gentle Gel Cleanser is much better, in my opinion. I like the goals of the company so I would get that one instead to support them!
