We had had our furniture cleaned by a professional service and they could not get the stains out of our 2 year old cream performance linen sectional sofa. My sister-in-law was visiting and said her daughter uses this Hoover to clean up after her dog and loves it, but uses Dawn dish soap as a milder cleaning agent. I thought I'd give it a try since my latest quote from another company for the sofa and 6 dining chairs was over $300. It was like magic! The sofa looks new again! Yes, it took hours of cleaning and recleaning, but that will not be case as we can now stay on top of any stains that occur. The white performance linen dining chairs look fabulous also. A great investment for great results. Highly recommend!

I currently own another brand's pet spot cleaner, as well as a carpet cleaner/vacuum and neither of these compare to Hoover's CleanSlate Pet Spot Cleaner! The amount of solution that was used was minimal, even though I felt like I was being very liberal in spraying the stained areas. The carpet was still damp, but that was to be expected. I am completely sold on the Hoover CleanSlate Pet Spot Cleaner and will be getting rid of the inferior cleaners that I previously owned!

I saw this cleaner online and thought I would give it a shot. I first used it for stains in the carpet. First time using it was not hard at all. Everything needed was with the purchase. I measured the solution and added to the tank and I was off and cleaning. The stains came out pretty quickly. The tank that holds the waste water did fill up quickly so I got a bucket to dump it into (make life easier). Thinking ahead I wondered what it would do for my car. I still had some solution left in the tank so I hit the car seat. I tried on a stain once before and made it worse, but with the Hoover it was gone. Fantastic product.

It seemed like we experienced every possible issue with that portable spot cleaner and that really discouraged us from purchasing another one of a different brand. Right away, I can, with 100% confidence, say that the Hoover CleanSlate Pet Spot Cleaner is by far the superior portable carpet cleaner in comparison to the Rug Doctor Portable in every possible way. First, the performance of the Hoover is fantastic. It doesn't take multiple passes to clean a soiled, stained area and it doesn't require you to exhaust yourself trying to scrub the carpet. The Hoover CleanSlate Pet Spot Cleaner is so lightweight and easy to carry around. The hose on it is much longer than the one on the Rug Doctor Portable Spot Cleaner. One of the best parts is that it's super easy to clean and maintain. I love having access to this Pet Spot Cleaner because it makes cleanup of small messes easier and more convenient. There's no need to pull out your giant, heavy-duty carpet cleaner for a hairball (trust me, we get a lot of those on a daily basis) or a missed potty pad accident. There are several different tools and attachments that you can choose from depending on which is most appropriate for the job at hand. You have an 18 foot cord to work with which means you have plenty of room to move around freely without having to switch outlets. Now that I've been lucky enough to have been chosen to test the Hoover CleanSlate Pet Spot Cleaner I can definitely say that it would be a product that I would purchase. As I mentioned above, before this opportunity I don't know if I would have purchased it simply because I felt so jaded and disappointed by my purchase and investment into the Rug Doctor Portable Spot Cleaner. It's a beautiful thing that companies allow individuals to test their products because I'm living proof that you can turn a negative, non-believer into someone who has faith and confidence in a product. I also would not hesitate to recommend this to my family and friends because it's a fantastic product and it works wonders!
The instructions that come with this are very poor. They lack details and clarity. On my first use, the water leaked out as soon as the tank was in place and made the proper snapping sound. The troubleshooting section of the instructions offers no advice; it just says to re-read the slim instructions that don't cover this. I go online, but it sends you to the basics. I try the chat, but it doesn't work. I try the phone number and it says to try online. ARRRRGGGGHHHH

The hose cleaner rinse does exactly what it says it does, cleans all of that yuck out of the hose so it doesn't make your cleaner stink. I didn't know I needed that option until I cleaned the hose the first time and now I think it should really be standard lol Overall, I would absolutely recommend the Hoover CleanSlate Pet Spot Remover. It's portable, lightweight and works great at removing stubborn stains with minimal effort. If you've got kids or pets, you should definitely have this spot cleaner too, you won't regret it!

My kids both have little Lazy-Boy type chairs that are covered in a cloth material and my dog has peed on both of them. Solids removed, and odors neutralized, I began cleaning by pushing the solution button on the handle attachment, while scrubbing, to work it in well. I moved on to other areas to give the solution a minute to work is magic. Then, I began extraction. Unlike other similar machines that I've used in the past, the extraction took very little pressure to suck up a bunch of nasty water. We keep a clean house but, the color of the waste water was shocking but, completely gratifying. I made a couple applications on necessary areas but in general, it only took one pass or so to clean the rest of the rug. Not only did this leave the rug noticeably brighter and clean, we could not get over how soft the rug felt after it dried and how there was a pretty sheen to it that we forgot it even had. It smelled amazingly fresh for days. The clean up for this machine is equally as impressive. The hose cleaning attachment housed in the lid is genius. It redirects the cleaning fluid back through the hose taking all of the dirt and fibers accumulated with it, right into the waste reservoir. This is hands down, the easiest clean up of any machine of this type that I've owned. After successfully cleaning the rug, I was inspired to tackle the bane of our household's existence, the ugly green couch. This couch has had a foot out the door for years. We want to replace it but, have serious reno plans in mind that we'd like to finish first. So, this poor, ugly couch has sat for way too long, unable to be cleaned by our carpet cleaning guys, because they don't clean these types. I took the challenge and while I'll admit it took several tank refills and waste empties, this once nasty couch lost its cringe factor. It's actually soft again, smells delightful, and it's clean! You can tell where the CleanSlate did it's job as that part of the couch is a lot lighter than the rest so I'm sure it will be up for cleaning the entire sofa and more. I would recommend this product for efficiency, durability, and practicality.
The bundle was the best ready to go setup I have recieved! This has everything you need to get going out of the box! The machine itself is a little cumbersome to figure out at first, but one you use it the first time, the pieces of the puzzle come together well. It cleans very well and the self cleaning attachment was the included accessory I didn't know I needed! This thing is great for your spot cleaning needs. Highly recommended and at this price point, it's a true value if you need a cleaner!
