I am incredibly happy with this shampooer. I extensively researched options, comparing reviews and complaints, and settled on this one based on mostly favorable reviews and a good price point. My carpets were long overdue for a cleaning and I honestly was skeptical that I’d be able to salvage them. They look and smell brand new. Bought this cleaner on Monday and used it immediately on my very dirty master bedroom floor. There were multiple stains from spills by the kids that were not previously able to be removed. I used Hoover OXY Permanent Stain Remover in the machine’s solution reservoir and pre-sprayed tougher stains with Hoover OXY Tough Stain Remover. The carpet now looks fantastic and all the stains are gone. I have used rental cleaners before and this one is every bit as good if not better. The trick is really to go slow on the cleaning forward motion and the backward drying motion. You can not move this as you would a vacuum. I loved now having to measure and mix the cleaning solution with water. This is one of the best carpet cleaners. Pros: 1. Very easy to assemble. 2. Easy to operate. 3. Its light weight. 4. You can run in dry only mode too. 5. Cleaning the brushes is also easy. 6. Comes with a storage mat and accessories bag. Cons: 1. Heat for drying is not much. It takes more time to dry. But you can switch to dry only mode and run over the spot few times to get the better results. 2. Button to release handle isn't sturdy. Foot slips when you try to press on that especially when walking on a damp carpet while cleaning. They should be using rubber surface instead of shiny plastic. Over all I highly recommend this cleaner. I am happy to see the results after cleaning. Quality wise its really good.

Purchased this Hoover Automatic Upright carpet cleaner on sale after reviewing other makes and models. So simple to use, just fill the individual reservoirs with warm water and Hoover carpet detergent then use. Tried it on 4 area rugs first to become comfortable with the unit. We used the hand wand to pre soak and lightly scrub using the two hose attachments (one stiff brush and a rubber tipped brush), then the main unit to rinse and dry the carpet afterward. Spray amount from the hand held was just enough to wet but not soak the carpets. Used maybe a half cup of detergent and 3/4 of the gallon reservoir of water to lightly wash and rinse 4 - 5x8 carpets. After rinsing and drying, the carpets were dry to walk on in about 3 hours. This is my third Hoover carpet cleaner. It is far superior to the previous models. It is super easy to use and also very easy to clean afterwards. Most importantly it does a great job cleaning carpets. I've had it awhile now and have used it about 4 times and must say I just love it. I think Hoover put a lot of thought in designing this product. If you are looking for a carpet cleaner, I highly recommend this one. I was a bit leery when buying this as the price was so much better than anywhere else, but it was new it the box and certainly a genuine Hoover. Highly recommend the seller and the product.

For some reason this tank is designed with a seam in it and that seam is glued together. poor design in my opinion but I contacted hoover to see what their solution was. That brings me to my next issue. Hoover sucks to deal with. Had to email back and forth with them several times, send them pictures of where the tank leaked and all kinds of information. That part would of been acceptable if it wasn't a 4 day wait for a reply back from them every single time. I've had a similar issue with a bissell product and now that I have seen the difference between the 2 companies, I will be buying all bissell products in the future.
