Usually disappointed in starter sets. Not this one. Great graphics. Runs well. My first Hornby. Been collecting,/running trains since 1970.
Had one of the original sets when I was six years old, 1940. This set is so far superior to the original and evokes the nostalgia of childhood ownership. Perfect!
Train runs very smoothly. A bit surprised that the cars dont have interior lighting. Some concern over the attachment of the two center cars- hoping the plastic coupling doesnt break

As an original Beatles fan back in 1963 ( I was at their concert in Blackpool) I had to see all the images on the carriages as it passed, so I bough 2 sets. More realistic length too.
train and tracks were not working when my son open the box for his birthday really disappointed
