Hot Wheels Mario Kart Circuit Track Set With 1:64 Scale Die-Cast Kart

The set is massive and took up more space than expected but definitely gets kids attention. It was fairly easy to assemble but some parts were a little tricky (support for the elevated loops). Some of the pieces use the standard adaptors and are easy to assemble and disassemble, the bases however do not and are a struggle to take the tracks off. The manual launcher to start the race and loop is a fun design but only send the car far enough around once in awhile. 9 times out of 10 the car will fall off the track on the hill or just make it around and stop before the automatic launcher. My four year old loves Mario. He was super excited for this track. However there are several Problems with it. Firstly, the track barely holds together. It often comes apart. The launcher butrom needs a big bang on it to launch the car. Otherwise, the car will not go. You really have to hit it hard and it's difficult for my son. Also, the track is designed specifically for the Mario lines of hot wheel cars. Other cars will not drive on the track properly. This was a major let down for my son as the track on comes with one car. Additional ones are not cheap. Because of all this, my son rarely plays with it. We would now love to put it in storage or in a corner or something. But the track is HUGE and it's just out in the open with nowhere to be placed discretely. Almost ruined Christmas

My husband was so excited to do this with my son as his first hotwheels set this Christmas. Just opened it and he has spent the better part of an hour trying to figure out how to keept the cars on. The hit button is ridiculous. Neither my kid or my husband can figure out the correct amount of pressure to hit it to even get the car to the 'booster' (it either putters out or falls off because of too much or too little pressure-you have to have just the right amount to get it to the booster) and the two times they have managed it, it falls off the track after the booster cause the track slows it down/goes upside down and the car can't stay on. DO NOT BUY!

My twins received this as a Christmas gift from an out-of-state family member. Such a huge disappointment to get it all put together only to find it doesn’t work at all. The tracks are so poorly made (warped) that they will not stay fastened together, so you can’t race the cars at all. Will be a huge hassle to try to re-package it to return. Horrible that Target sells this item. Also, please note the inflated rating for this item is due in part to some reviewers giving 5 stars just because the person they bought it for will love it - they did not have first-hand experience with the item! Only customers who have USED the item should be able to review.

Disappointed my autistic son

I bought this for my 6 year old autistic son for Christmas. The Mario kart track set isn't steady enough for cars to go at the same time. With new batteries the cars will not go around the track at its largest track you can build. The gray tracks are distorted and bent because of the poor design. The extra car sets that you sell as cars for this track are not made for this track. They are too heavy and when any of the cars fall off of the track, their heads break off. This makes me feel like a failure to my autistic son because he has a hard time with the manual tracks, so I thought he would enjoy this. He did enjoy it for 3 weeks. This is shameful to see people like this taking advantage of parents and more importantly the children.

Do not buy

This track barely works! There is only one care we have that will work with the track. The Mario Cart cars don't even work on it. They flip off on the second turn. We have yet to get the Mario Cart cars to make it around the track a full time. We also have only been able to use one car at a time if you use two they fall off on the second turn. We thought it might be the batteries we had in the track so we bought brand new ones and still the same results. Very disappointed. Not worth the time to put together and not worth the money. It's a really cool looking track and a great idea just really bad execution of the product. Seriously don't buy. The manual track works 100x better than this one!

Fun set the kids will likely enjoy a while.

This set does what it sets out to do pretty well, working great with the Mario Kart cars that have characters sticking out of the top. The quality is pretty good, although I had some issues with the tracks separating slightly, likely from my kids hitting the turtle shell buttons like crazy and bumping the course slightly. It's nice that it comes with the 2 cars you need to play, like some other sets. I've been able to have the Mario and Yoshi cars successfully go around the track dozens of times without flying off on their own. It gets more iffy when you try using other Hot Wheels cars. Some of the higher cars/trucks will have a lot of trouble staying on the tracks. The lap marker thing won't work with all car types, as the short cars will go underneath it, and they won't hit the coins to have them spin either. Some cars are just tall enough to graze the bottom of the lap switches and that'll cause them to sometimes get knocked out of the course. Regardless, my kids are really loving this set. They actually had a lot of fun just going through every car/truck/bus they own in a "will it work?!" type of game. careful not to stand behind or to the side of the taller loops when using other Hot Wheels cars, because many of the vehicles would fly out. At full price this set may not seem worth it, but I got it on sale and feel it was a good value.

Great concept--fun for the whole family

Very fun concept--as other posts have mentioned, not all cars stay on the track reliably, but if the track is assembled correctly, a number of them do. Some work better backwards, so try a few. Very fun concept. Great way to allow younger kids to enjoy the excitement of Mario Kart. All 3 (9 and under) of my boys love this. I'll even sneak in to play with it. I would recommend this product, and it's a great way to interact with your kids and fit then to play with each other without screens. Levels of frustration getting other posts seem unnecessary.

Mario Kart Circuit Track Set Provides Endless Fun

The Mario Kart Circuit Track Set is an entertaining and fast-paced toy. My four-year-old son loves to play with it and race his Mario Kart cars. I like that this track has an accelerator for the karts to run continuously. It is especially nice for my son since launching the vehicles can be hit or miss. I wish this product had an adaptor that plugged into the wall instead of relying solely on D-cell batteries. Replacing them frequently can get a little costly. This is a wonderful product and a great addition to my son's collection.

Works great when assembled correctly!

Many people are leaving reviews that karts don’t stay on the track. It’s not fully accurate. Yes, the karts fall off from time to time, but if it’s assembled correctly (mine wasn’t at first and I was worried I made a poor purchase) the karts stay on just fine, Mario seems to work best on the red track because of his weight though. Lots of regular hot wheels work great on it as well. I am having as much fun as the kids are having and look forward to many racing tournaments in our house. The track is a lot bigger than I expected which is both good and bad. Just needed to find a new location for it than we intended
