I think the POWER HOODIE is just great! As a mountain guide, I sometimes wear it all day, as a warming layer under a shell or over a merino shirt. The fit of the hood is unique: it provides protection, gives you a free and unrestricted field of vision and feels good without or under a helmet. The high collar also closes perfectly. The hoodie is very warm and doesn't wear out much, even if you wear it a lot. It has a rather tight cut and I would recommend buying it one size larger rather than choosing a smaller version. I have two POWER HOODIES (despite the high price), which I particularly like to wear for ski touring, hiking or climbing tours and for any activity in rough weather conditions - even for logging :-)

Ok, this thing is perfect, i'm pretty sure. Even down to the way they sewn the shoulders, to make it more comfortable with a pack, or reaching. But, definitely order one size above normal, or you will feel like an overweight American. And just put some zipper pull tabs on it, I used other brands---that were EVEN less money, so what's up Houdini?...drop the ten cents and put some decent zipper pulls on here to make someone like me not point it out. The hood fits PERFECT and I love the double thickness of it, that helps kick up the heat. It layers nice, i didn't think it would be that comfortable because of sizing up, but it didn't effect the layering at all. The only negative accept about this midlayer, is, if it gets totally soaked, it will be very hard to dry, in the environment. But, what midlayer wouldn't have some issues if its totally soaked right? The $250 price tag is about as much as I would pay for the item, because it is still just fleece. But a very plush, stretchy, durable, breathable, warm, very well made fleece. If you think about the Pat R1 being $159, the cost of this is about right because of the adjustable hem, and hood..Some extra material and zipper pockets. Ok, I figured I should write a review because it is so comfortable and warm I haven't let go of it since it was delivered. I don't think someone will even get the opportunity to pick it up, let alone try and give it a new home! I kinda liked the idea of putting my own zipper pulls on it, because I was able to give it some of my own character, at $200, this jacket will be with me for many years ahead. Easy 5 stars, would buy again.

Just look at it. It's beautiful. Add the feature "highest quality standard in fleece material" asThe outer surface is smooth while the inner has the familiar fleece texture we have come to love. Certainly it is warm and the hood also an appropriate shape and seize making it the lady said. I find that it is with so, a soft stretchy luxurious and sensual experience. a must have for me or a great choice as a great gift for a special person. I wrote this for the contest with such ease because it is all in perfect honesty.

Exceptionally comfortable and warm fleece hoodie. As others have mentioned, it is a more fitted fleece, and it is a bit longer than most I have. However, if you are on the leaner side , you will love this. Is it expensive? Yes. However The quality is top-notch and you are paying for a sustainable product. If you can get this on sale, I say pick one up! Shipping from Altitude was fast as always!
OK, so some context first. I usually size at Large Tall for Shirts/Jackets and Large for pants. This usually means that I must equip XL for Jacket and Pants to get the length I need . Everything starts bigger than I need :-( Once layering commences, buried in big gear, I lose mobility - everything becomes more effort. This is where the Houdi's are so good. These Houdi's are extremely warm/cozy, flexible and CLOSE FITTING. This means that I can have base layer, Houdi's and my normal soft shell - essentially 3 layers without expedition sizing. Consequently, I can climb in the cold without going beyond my soft shell. Once the weather/cold gets really rough I can add heavy duty insulation and hard shell, without being built like Bigfoot. I still have great ... MoreOK, so some context first. I don't like a hood under my helmet (gives me neck ache). I prefer combinations of buffs, masks, balaclavas and hats. As such, I had a tailor remove the hood and improvise a collar. IMO, you can have too many hoods.Of all the gear I have purchased in the last few years, these were one of my best purchases. I thoroughly recommend it. (Used on Peak Lenin 23406 ft / 7134 m)
I was a bit skeptical about the Houdini hype and the price for power stretch hoodie. For me it’s perfect though!I’m 6’2, 180 with longish but not super long arms. This European sized large is perfect for me. American larges like Marmot or North Face etc tend to have way too much material in the waist. I’m a medium waist with size large shoulders, so always in between sizes in many brands.Sizing aside the attention to detail is amazing. Lots of hoodies use power stretch, but they double it in the good and cuffs making it seem warmer and cozier.Helmet wearing folk may not like the small hood. It is head-sized only. I’m not wearing this with a helmet though, so the hood is perfect. If you’re a lankier build and have trouble finding the perfect mid layer or ... MoreI was a bit skeptical about the Houdini hype and the price for power stretch hoodie. It is snug and super cozy. If you have long arms this is for you. I'm 5'4 tall 127 lbs, the sleeves are a bit long for me but keep me really warm. My chest is 35 so I can only wear thin layer underneath the M size jacket. I'd go one size up if need to layer more. But it is already warm enough without layering in cold NJ winter. The hood has an elf hat shape which I think is cute but may not for everyone.
Holy cow. If it was legal to marry a clothing garment, this would be it. Granted, if you pay full price you may have to choose between this and the next mortgage payment. But you feel every dollar - slipping this on feels like you're being gently embraced by a thousand fluffy baby pandas. It also has the added benefit of forcing you to stay in shape, because there's no way to hide the additional weight here. Scandinavian trim is a good way to describe the fit. I'm 5.9, 173.2 pounds and medium works, but I def don't have room for much additional beer consumption. But that's a small price to pay for those baby pandas.
I bought this as a mid layer for cycling in Montreal's early spring (0-10C usually, occasionally in the -5C). It is well built and does the job. The problem is there are other options that also do the same job for less than its retail price of $300. Perhaps it will last longer - time will tell. This fleece was built for thin people with long bodies. A size L snugly fits my square muscular 5' 11" 190 lbs torso but is is tight especially across the shoulders and pecs.
I usually wear a medium but I had to go large with this one. I'm 5'11 and ~ 180 lbs.The fit it beautiful, the hoodie is the most comfortable I've ever experienced. It molds to your head and moves with your head. Unlike other hoodies, it doesn't obstruct your view and isn't noisy. This jacket is very flexible with the perfect amount of stretch and absolutely does not restrict movement. It's reasonably warm on its own. With a light jacket (e.g. The OR men's ascendant jacket layered on top of this, it's very warm and I think most people will be comfortable in 20 degrees Fahrenheit with mild activity level.Regarding longevity, it's too early to tell.
