Hourglass - Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15 - 30ml

When I say this is the best primer I’m not kidding. I’ve tried SO many primers. This is by far the best. I have very dry skin and it still works on me. It just gives you an insanely smooth base. Smooths texture you didn’t even know you had. It makes any single foundation look good on top. Even ones that usually are really dry and cracky. In my opinion it’s the best investment you can make. If you have this you can use even foundations you hate. Everything looks flawless. I’ll forever be repurchasing this. I don’t know if it makes my makeup last any longer because I do have dry skin. I started using this product about a year ago. It was winter and my skin was really dry and I thought I loved this primer. For about a week everything seemed fine. Then my skin started to get some cystic pimples and then more and more over the next month. I assumed it was something else so I literally changed out every single other product I was using and adding in new ones until I realized that this primer is the only thing it could be. I wanted to make sure, so I cut everything out except for a cleanser Trenton and noncomedogenic moisturizer no primer and foundation. My acne literally disappeared. Amazing product, horrible packaging (pump)

Best primer I've used so far. Makes the skin super silky smooth and easy for applying makeup.It also has mineral spf (Zinc Oxide & Titanium Dioxide) for everyday use so you don't need to apply extra sunscreen before makeup unless you plan to have hours of sun exposure. It doesn't leave a white paste on your face like other mineral spf sunscreens.I can't give it 5 star though because of the pump (I used the 1oz bottle) and the separation of content. After 3 weeks of use I noticed that the content that pumped out felt lighter than usual, more like liquid, and after a week it stopped pumping out context. I opened up the bottle and there was a lot of gel like content remaining, on the sides of the bottle and couldn't get down or close enough to the straw to be ... MoreBest primer I've used so far. Amazing product, terrible pump!

I love the product but the packaging is HORRIBLE. First time I bought this product, the pump squirted out straight liquid. At this price point, you would think that they would take this into account. The packaging however does look amazing. The heavy glass makes this feel luxurious and it's super pretty on my makeup stand! The product itself is great for me. I tend to get oilier throughout the day and I think this has helped my foundation stay on longer. It makes the skin really smooth and allows for product to be applied on very nicely. I have resulted to mixing the product and opening up the cap everytime to get product because I don't want a splatter of liquid when I use the pump.Overall, like everyone said, I hope they change the packaging or fix the pump but ... MoreI love the product but the packaging is HORRIBLE. Garbage

Absolutely horrible primer. I liked that it had SPF and looked lightweight. But it does not blend well nor does it help makeup stay put or apply better/smoother. It's also terrible under foundation, it just pills endlessly. I have tried applying my skincare products differently, tried waiting longer between applying moisturizer and this primer and then foundation, and even tried changing my serum and moisturizer. Nothing worked. So it makes your makeup look bad and also wont help your makeup last longer. I am now using a Nars primer and it works a million times better, although anything might work better than this stuff.

Love the product, but bad packaging/pump

I really like this primer, and I’ve tried many. It feels wonderful on my skin, isn’t too dewy or too mattifying, and has spf. I used it everyday over serum and under a tinted moisturizer or on its own. I feel like it lasts well all day, doesn’t pill or crease, and in general is good for my skin. However….Like others have mentioned, the pump/ application has flaws. The primer originally came out watery, despite shaking it a lot many times. After I scraped the edges of the bottle the problem resolved for a few weeks, but now I’m having issues getting a consistent amount of product out from the pump. Occasionally it’s watery again, despite shaking. I don’t like the consistency when watery and greatly prefer it as it should be, in a soft lotion. If the problem doesn’t get solved, I’m not sure I’ll keep buying this primer, despite how much I love it. It’s too pricey to have an application flaw like

I received this product complimentary from Hourglass. I use this primer before applying my foundation by applying an even thin layer on my skin. A little bit goes a long way. It has a silky smooth texture, that glides effortlessly onto my skin and instantly refreshes my skin and absorbs fast. It has such a beautiful smooth texture and feels super light on my skin without any sticky feeling. It smooths my skin’s texture, blurs pores and any imperfections and provides my skin with a silky soft finish. Application of my foundation is just so easy after using this primer. Worth the splurge

Great primer for my normal-dry skin which is prone to rosacea as it creates a smooth base that stops my skin drinking up my foundation. Also helps to tone down the redness slightly. It’s satin-matte with no glow or luminosity so looks entirely like my skin, but more smooth. I find my makeup wears well with this underneath. I much prefer the jumbo tube as the glass bottles get so much trapped inside which is unreachable. The only thing I can’t comment on is the fact that it’s waterproof as the makeup I use on top of it isn’t so it doesn’t really make any difference to what happens to it if I get caught in the rain. However, if I wanted a primer to blur open pores on oilier skin I’d go for Laura Mercier’s blurring primer over this.

i got this as a surprise sample when i placed an order restocking my staples and are you kidding me!!! its been on my purchase list for a while but i hadn't bought it yet, cause price. when i tell you, i have bought so many primers over the years. best one i have ever tried and purchased immediately. my bank account will not be pleased, but i will never do without now. it is somehow hydrating and pore filling. makeup goes on seamlessly.
