I was so excited to get this dress, it looked so flattering and promising on others, after reading reviews. I tried this on multiple times because I was on the fence: the bottom portion and waist is SO flattering. However, the bust top portion fits quite weird. I zipped into this perfectly (36B) but the top portion gapped a little awkwardly and the straps did not sit comfortably, kept falling off. I think if you have a larger bust, this would work for you??

I was worried that this would be too small after reading reviews about House of CB dresses. I fit dress sizes 2 up to 6 and the Small A/C fit me perfectly. The corset top is super flattering and comfortably snug with no tight squeezing feeling. It is almost ankle length on my 5'2" frame, but with heels it looks perfect.

Bust is very strange, SM did not work for 34b

I loved the color of this and the fabric is perfect for summer very cool to the touch. However the bust boning and straps did not work for me. It was cut for someone who is more like a 32DD and I'm a 34B. Also the straps were continuously falling off as I tried to position the top. It was like the straps sound have been sewn closer inward to the boning. You can see it in the photo where the shadow is on the left side of the chest this girl clearly has a lot up top. Also there is a pretty hefty boning/lining in the bottom inch that was a little strange but not a deal breaker. In all I had to return this.

Fairytale Dress!
31 May 2023

I’ve been eyeing this dress for months, wanting it for my upcoming wedding festivities. It just arrived today and i am over the moon!! It is stunning and makes me feel like a princess, I’m obsessed to say the least 😭I’m a size 6/8 typically, 34C and the Medium A/C hugs in all the right places

Gorgeous dress!

Pros: This is an incredibly good quality dress. The fabric quality and construction is definitely reflective of a dress in this price range. I tried the XL in stores and it fit me very strangely, so I ordered a size L online (it was not available in store at the time) and hoped for the best. Thankfully, it fit amazingly and it is supportive in all the right places. I cannot wait to wear it to my next event.Cons: As with any corset dress that has limited adjustability, I recommend trying it on before purchasing. Do not rely purely on the size chart, in my case, I had to size down for it to fit right. This particular style is not the most size-inclusive. While I took the risk of ordering it online and it paid off, if my bust was smaller or my waist was larger (or ...Ā MorePros: This is an incredibly good quality dress. Perfect Fit
19 September 2023

This dress fit me perfectly and I didn’t have to wear a bra. The fabric is heavy but doesn’t cling. I wore it for my sisters wedding in CA where it was pretty hot and humid. My only complaint is that the straps don’t stay where you adjust them. I was constantly having to adjust them (even though the bodice was tight and I didn’t even need the straps). If I had known ahead of time that the straps would slip, I would have gotten them altered to my size.

Sizing was off
18 June 2023

I was so excited about this dress, but I think something was just really off with the sizing. I’m 127 lbs 5’3ā€ and normally a size 6. I ordered size 6 in this but couldn’t even get the bodice to sip up. And even if it had zipped up, there is so much fabric in the skirt that it just didn’t look right. Returned. It is a really pretty peach though. I suggest sizing up if you’re going to try this dress.

Sung in the Ribcage
29 June 2023

I'll start by saying the dress is stunning. Fabric is great, style is perfect. I am hoping to wear this to my bridal shower.I was able to zip it up but it was SNUG! particularly in the chest and ribcage area. I'm typically between an xs and small and I'm going to try to size up to a medium. I'm 5ft, 112 lbs, 32C and a small was tight.

The most stunning dress
18 May 2023

First time trying this brand and I am a new fan. One of the most beautiful dresses I’ve ever tried on. The corset bodice snatches & I loved playing with the straps for a strapless look (it doesn’t have a strapless option I just tucked them in). You don’t need undergarments. Love the pockets. The hem is weighted which gives great movement to the skirt of the dress. Timeless & worth the investment. Would be perfect for a rehearsal dinner or bridal shower/party. Elopement etc. Just get the dress!

Wanted to love it but can't
17 July 2023

I fell in love with the model photo the second I saw the dress. I even waited several months for it to be re-stocked in my size. When it arrived I was elated but that faded the moment I tried it on. The fit and sewing is awful, and I've worked as a fashion designer for over a decade. The bust doesn't fit at all but worse than that, the dresses pulls and buckles all over the top half of the dress. The neckline is wonky and bubbles, there's pull lines across the belly without being too tight on me (I bought a Medium because the small was way too small on me), and the seamline from the bodice to the skirt has a lip to it. I know sewing and construction and this dress was a massive disappointment, the small was too small on me and the medium was too big. Interestingly, when I went to the store to return it, the saleswoman said she hasn't seen anyone successfully buy a House of CB dress without returning it. This brand just had too many fit and sewing issues. šŸ˜”
