We have been using this product for 7 years now and no problems with moths or silverfish ever since. Only for use indoors and we use throughout the house in every wardrobe and main walk-in robe.

We have been sick, including my cat, since we put these mothballs in our storage. We can still faintly smell them and suspect the chemical in them is causing these problems. The moth traps no longer appear to be available, which is unfortunate as they seem to be a safer alternative.

Been dealing with Miller Moths (lawn grub) around our home recently. They leave the annoying 'fury' nest which contains hundreds of larvae ready to repel down to your lawn's doom. Tried lots of things including spraying 3 month insecticides but they keep coming back. Read about products with naphthalene (moth balls) but sounded a bit nasty but in a desperate move for only $2.90 I thought I'd give these a go. I hung both of them under the eves from some down pipes about 5m apart near the patio area. However when I went out to clean the nests away I found that the reason why they had stopped working was because the contents of the capsule had already dissolved away. So although they did work, they didn't last long enough to be a long term solution. Indoors and especially in confined spaces such as a garden shed or wardrobe they would be pungent and no doubt permeate fibrous or porous materials as well as the stifled air which reminds me of grandma's place! I don't really remember ever getting sick from the smell. I think you would have to ingest the product to have any serious health issues.
