Also, ideal for richer, more saturated colours, especially the blues of the sky and the greens of vegetation.I used this filter together with my Canon 450D and a Sigma 17-70mm/2.8-4 lens and it performs very well.

Since I just managed to break my knee I haven’t had a chance to use the filter too much , but the few photos I took before my accident came out very good. (Submitted one) All colors were natural looking and it removed exactly the amount of reflection I wanted. Good filter for the price.

This filter is a good value for the price, but it's not the finest polarizer I've ever used. This is an area where spending top dollar really does make a difference. That said, do you really need to spend top dollar to get what you NEED? If you're anything like me, and I know I am, I'm happy to use this mid-range filter to get the shots I want. If I were a pro getting paid for my work then I would step up to a better one. The rotating part is a bit narrow and like all polarizers it can sometimes be fiddly to attach and remove. I prefer a larger rotating ring, perhaps with a tactile bump or divot so I can feel where the line is without having to look. I've owned this product in the past, and I trust this brand. It met all my expectations as a repeat customer.It's not the best in the world but does what it's supposed to do in its price range.
This circular Polarizer is a small filter with a diameter of 30.5mm to fit my camcorder. Be careful of the diameter as that extra 0.5mm makes a difference - a 30mm filter did Not work on my camcorder. It threaded easily, and at full wide angle, did not vignette the field of view. I am pleased with this purchase.
The Polarizer doesnt fit the lens without removing a ring from the lens. This was not obvious and it took a while to figure out. I was on the phone with a support guy who was stumped too. I thought I was going to have to return it but stumbled across the removable ring while we talked. My other disappointment was that there is no lens cap included. I could have ordered one at the time if that was disclosed. If I had read ALL the reviews of the lens I would have been alerted to this. Lesson learned ...
I ordered this Hoya just in time to try it out in Destin, Fl. on the beach. Yes, the proper adjustment of the filter does make the sky much bluer, ect. So, I was at the beach taking pictures. The Hoya was attached to my SIGMA 150-500mm lens as I was walking around the beach taking pictures of the waves, etc. As I was walking back to my site I noticed that a large black dish like thing was not only laying on the beach, but the wave activity was washing this disk back and forth. I just thought maybe someone lost something. They did. It was my brand new Hoya that had somehow come loose from the lens!!! No tellin' how long it had been their washing back and forth. I needed a polarizing filter to use for an upcoming trip by the ocean and islands where bright sunshine would be an issue. Although I have not tested it at my preferred location, I did test it on bright sunny objects in Southern California. Satisfied so far.
This filter delivers. It removes the reflective glare from water and glass . I haven't seen any flaws in the glass , material quality appears to be first rate. I recommend getting one for your kit.
I was surprised at when I received the filter, the glass was very dirty. Either Adorama sent me a used one, or it came that way from Hoya. With some difficulty, I did manage to get it mostly clean, although some of the film may be between the two pieces of glass.The images I have taken after cleaning it have been good.
