I put this polarizer on my 50mm 1.8 AF D lens. Works great ! Knocks all reflection, or just a little, depending on your likes. Just turn the lens for more or less effect. The same goes for bluer skys This is a quality filter. I have this exact filter one on my 70-200mm lens . Colors pop and are nice and sharp with this filter. i find it real easy to clean. Thin too. I would purchase again.

Beautiful polarizing!

When I first started getting into photography, everyone kept telling me that a polarizing filter would greatly benefit me, so I bought a relatively cheap one. You get what you pay for, and I would recommend anyone to spend the extra money and get a good one, like this Tiffen. It is very solidly built with a low profile, and the colors are completely neutral unlike the cheaper one I was using that adds a yellow tinge to the photos. The deep blue skies and clarity in the clouds are astounding! It adds so much depth to the composition. My only complaint with this filter is that it does not mount very easily onto my Nikon lenses. Rotating the filter itself once it was on was rather stiff and sticky at first, but it seems to move easily now. Probably just needed to be loosened up a bit after its first use.

Best value polarizer for the money!

Very high quality, great bang for buck value. Does what it claims and does it well. Reduces glare and reflections, increases saturation, low-profile with no vignetting unless you are stacking filters

Defective
17 January 2020

I returned this filter because there was no real difference in using it versus shooting without a polarizer. B&H staff were great about the return and agreed that while the specs were really good for this filter, the one I received was defective.

Excellent Product

I cross polarize when photographing art. This Tiffen is my choice for the Canon 50mm macro lens. A spot of nail polish on the ring helps orient the filter.

Fantastic quality optics and b
21 April 2021

I have tried a few different brands of circular polarizers, and I decided to change my kit over to Tiffen HT specifically due to how clear the optics are, they're easy to clean, and the damping on how the filter turns is as smooth as the manual focus on my Zeiss lenses. Those benefits really sold me! Highly recommended!

Good Polarizer in this price range.
10 January 2015

I needed a polarizer in 62 mm for a new lens I purchased and tried one by another brand that gave weird color results. Filters are like many other purchase decisions you can spend from a little to a lot. This filter was kind of in the middle of the price range and I have had good experience with this brand in other filters before, so I decided to try this one. The quality is very good and the photo results were just as good too. I am very pleased with this filter and will consider this brand in the future.

Great Quality and Results
21 September 2016

I usually stick with B+W filters but this Hoya was on sale so I gave it a try. So far my results have been excellent - everything that you'd expect from a circular polarizer. The quality is also very good. I'd consider Hoya again and would recommend this filter.

Just what I wanted and needed.
18 November 2019

I had just purchased a new lens for my Nikon D5600 which required a 52 mm circular polarizing filter. Since I have several other Tiffen filters, I decided to stick with the same brand. I was not wrong in my choice. The filter is well made and does what it was made to do. If Tiffen is not you choice, B&H has a great selection to select from at very reasonable pricing.

Unbeatable value.

Having looked at many reviews on the net regarding polarising filters, this one stood out by a mile for the price and quality of it . I found the results on using it quite amazing. If you`re looking for a polarising filter buy this one. You will not be disappointed .
