It's a 37mm UV filter, there's not a lot to say. It screwed into the Panasonic 12-32mm Micro Four Thirds lens without any difficulty, and the lens cap still works when clipped into the filter. With this being a collapsing lens, obviously the filter sticks out when the lens is collapsed. But if you don't like that the only option is not to use a filter. But a thinner filter would be nice.Optically I can detect no change in the pictures with and without the filter except in high UV environments like sky shots outside on a sunny day. But I bought this as a lens protector to keep crud off the lens, I'd have been happy with a completely plain filter.

I used this on my go-to Canon 24-70 II lens. Over and over, I had to keep removing it and clean the smudgy, irridescent coating that I KNOW did not come from something I got on the filter. I was near impossible to clean off, and when I finally could, I would put it back on and the same thing would happen again. The result: many soft smudgy photos that I cannot go back and replicate. The grandbabies are not born a second time. I am disappointed, but spent a LOT to replace this lens. And Hoya, I should own stock in your products. Hope this can be remedied!!

These do their job. Always remember to be very careful cleaning any dirt or grime off a multi coated filter. You can scratch the coating. I slightly scratched mine when I fell off a log and hit the front of my camera lens. Cracked the lens hood but the filter and lens stayed intact. Then I got my hat out to clean some dirt off the front of the filter and.... slight swirly scratch on the filter. Still totally usable but, lesson learned. Got this on sale too which was nice. B+W filters are always a best bet but for a little less Hoya makes a great product too.

This filter is way better than Tiffen filters. I use it to protect my lenses when working at the field. Some photos are taken exposing the lens for long time or from a boat at sea, and a filter is a must have to protect it against blowing sand, dirty splash and so much more. I had used UV filters from Tiffen for more than 15 years and they work, are well known and accessible. However, if you have a prime lens, you do not want to use a medium filter compromising that sharp optics. A good filter may cost a lot and become out of reach. This filter is in between. It is way better than Tiffen, but does not cost as much as an HD Hoya filter. I have bought multiple sizes of this same brand. Hoya has always produced great quality filters. And since this is the digital version they are especially suited for today's digital lenses, especially for protection. Get one, easier to chance a scratched filter and a scratched front element on the lens.
I keep these filters on all my lenses and have been very impressed by them. They're optically great and the slim mounts are ideal for wide. lenses
A multicoated Hoya Pro filter which is ideal for digital SLR and camcorders, protecting the lens from dust and fingerprints and maintaining the optical quality of the lens. I fit this type of filter permanently on on all camera lenses which have a lot of outdoor use. The low profile makes them more suitable wide angle lenses or for us on wide angle zooms . The same size thread on the outside of the filter means the lens cap still attaches to protect the filter when the camera is not in use.
Ordered my Mavic Pro on the 14th of December. I presumed it would take a long time with it being the Christmas season but I was wrong, I arrived exactly 7 days later. Eglobal are really great. I also ordered two extra batts because flying time is a maximum of 25 mins. I ordered these on the 28th of Dec and they arrived on the 4th of Jan. The drone itself is fantastic and I cannot get over the quaility of the camera. So easy to control and the app is really informative. I would recommend it for anyone who is really loving the drone idea but doesn’t no where to start. This is my favorite toy and I’m in love with it. :)
This is just a clear filter without any antireflective coating. For this reason is usable just in few circumstances. I din't realise it when I've read the description but after using it once I've quickly ordered a better one. Don't ruin the quality of you photo with a highly reflective UV Filter.

I'm not remotely convinced they would save the front of the lens in anything other than a light bump but they do mean you never have to clean the front of a £1k+ lens.Occasionally I enjoy a bit of live band and performance photography and if you're bouncing about in the mosh pit you'd be suprised how much salty sweat (I really hope it's sweat) and beer is collected by your lens so I regard these filters predominantly as a sacrificial element. I've always managed to get them clean but if I do damage it then it's just a small cost compared to the cost of stripping down a lens and potentially replacing some far more complex elements. It has no visible effect on colour or contrast so doesn't degrade IQ. Adding another element to the lens will always have a detrimental effect on IQ, but I really can't see it in the images.I use Pro1 filters exclusively and get no noticeable flare or ghosting, unlike some others I've tried, even when shooting sunsets although this may have something to do with using decent lenses with decent coatings rather than an inherrent property of the filter. It's a fairly low profile mount so I don't have to worry too much about stacking filters. It does start to vignette at somewhere between 24 and 28mm if used with the Hoya polariser though.
