Special UV glass absorbs almost the entire spectrum of UV rays, so images are clearer and sharper and haze is reduced. The Hoya Fusion Antistatic filters are the first to use a completely newly developed antistatic coating which acts like a magnetic field in the opposite direction to keep dust and dirt away from the filter surface. The antistatic effect is achieved by a special 9-layer Super Multi-Coating formula, which also greatly reduces reflections without impairing light transmission. The flat aluminium filter frame is constructed in two parts and prevents vignetting. This makes the filter perfect for use with wide-angle lenses. The Hoya Antistatic filters get by with far less maintenance due to their special properties. The hardened, antistatic surface also repels water and rain and can be easily and gently cleaned of dirt stains and fingerprints when required. This protects the glass and prevents scratches caused by small dust and dirt particles.
