The design and principle of this unit is great for small gardens. However, the unit leaked badly from the centre of the reel. I didnt want to send it back so I took it apart to find the crimped hose clips badly fitted. If only standard hose clips were used it would have been far less likely to ever leak. Hozelock must have had this problem with other pico units.

A lot smaller than I expected this neverless does what I bought it for - a second hose to keep in rear garden to save carrying large reel around from garage at front of house. Good spray nozzle with several settings. As you would expect from hozelock is good quality. Only downside is size of hose which is smaller than Norwich means spray nozzle can't be swopped over with other reel.

Overall it is a good hose with different settings you can adjust to suit your needs. I like that I can slightly power hose my plants using on of the settings to get rid of some of the bugs rather than using pesticides. The power can also be adjusted for each setting. However, it leaks from the Center of the hose system and from the tap too. A bit of water is therefor me wasted.

Previously had this product unfortunately, left it outside and in the very cold weather water in the hose froze and blew the water inlet connection. Difficult to access to fix so chose to buy another one.Use for watering pots very lightweight to carry and easy to handle. Gun provides lots of options from tap flow to fine spray. Very handy to have when don't want to use the large garden reel.
My current hosepipe was getting too heavy for me - the reason I ordered this smaller one. Unfortunately I read in Gardeners World this smaller one cannot be used with a power washer so while this new one is fine it means I can't dispose of the older hosepipe. Other than that I am pleased with the service and glad I was able to use local stores.
I couldn't be happier with this hose pipe set. It's compact, so perfect for small yards and urban gardens. The reel is well made, and of high quality so I hope to get many year's use from it. The spray gun has loads of different settings for every occasion! Finally, it was great value from Wickes and much cheaper from other well known online retailers and other DIY chains.
Excellent item and as allways great quality fron Hoselock. I bought the 10 metre unit and is fantastik and easy to use and wind up. All the ends are water stops and you can swop and change which way you decide to work it. Highly recomended, just buy the length that fits your use.
I purchased this to water a lawn/some plants and clean a mountain bike. So far it lives up to its name, it is indeed “pico” (denoting either generically very small or a trillionth the size of a single unit), it is on a reel and it definitely locks on to it’s own “Hoze” (hose)! However, it is certainly not a trillionth as useful as a full size hose, in face quite the opposite. Lightweight, well made and easy to use. The water flow is a bit “pico” in nature due to the reduced bore of the pipe, so don’t expect Karcher like action whatever your water pressure, but totally fit for purpose. I would also say (due to the way the hose is split) it feels more like a 7 to 8 metre reach, not 10. Overall, a good buy if you like things both “pico” and “reely!”....
It has a smaller width hose than normal and it cannot handle water pressure well. Mine explosively decompressed and tore itself open when left on the tap.Sadly Hozelock products are cheap rubbish these days - they really need to up their game.
