I was looking for a 22inch monitor, and when I saw this at the same price with more features, I decided to deal with more screen real estate than I need. The biggest positive surprise is that the screen adjusts up and down as well as viewing angle. Since the 22in didn't, I imagined that smaller monitors would all be like that.Compared to my other monitor (a 20in, 3-year old with my other laptop) this one's picture adjustments are much more functional, more settings. That's another positive surprise, even if it is not the standard for all.I have 2 questions for a reader who knows more about dual monitor tech than I do:1. Should there be a way, or is there, to get sound from both my computer and this monitor at the same time?2. When I make it the primary screen, the cursor now gets from my laptop (lower screen) to the monitor from the bottom of the screen, and like from the monitor's top-of-screen to get back to my laptop screen below. Is this the nature of the beast or am I missing a setting?

Ordered on Wednesday and received on Friday as promised. Came complete with everything needed for quick connection including HDMI/HDMI cable,HDMI/DVI cable, and audio output cable. Set up was relatively quick although the assembly instructions were a bit lacking. On connection to my HP laptop it was immediately recognized and powered up to a sharp bright screen. I didn't find any explanation in the minimal literature of how to use the three control buttons but they were easy enough to figure out within a few minutes. Has sharp clean look, edge to edge view, and minimal footprint on my desktop One of the reasons I selected this monitor was for the integrated sound as I didn't want to mess with separate speakers involving more cables and chords cluttering things up. ... MoreOrdered on Wednesday and received on Friday as promised. Some reviews indicated that the sound was lacking. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out it is more than adequate for my low level purposes (streaming online news stories and YouTube DIY instructional videos). At first the volume seemed low but once I found the volume control in the options menu and turned it up to max it is more than enough for my purposes. All in all it is a great vale for the money.

I think this is a cheap alternative for iPad/iPhone: a monitor with a speaker. Apple products, iPad and iPhone, is notorious in its compatibility. If you connect your iPad or iPhone to a monitor without speaker (via a USB to HDMI adaptor) - you will lose your sound. (Even if you connect with bluetooth speakers or iPod already, you won't hear anything any more.)Therefore, a monitor with a decent speaker is the choice. This one serves the purpose. This is working fine at first, but a bright line appeared and I have to return it.

This HP P24h monitor has a clear, crisp display and is the perfect size for desktop use (not too big, not too small). It accepts both HDMI and DisplayPort inputs (and even VGA for old school PCs). While Windows will select 60Hz refresh rate by default, you can go into Windows' display settings and select 75Hz refresh rate for this monitor. The 75Hz refresh rate really does help smooth out motion. You should also go into the monitor's "Image" menu setting and set Response Time to Level 3 which provides the best VSYNC performance. One of the best features that places this monitor above and beyond its price range is the 90-degree rotating screen, height adjustment, and swiveling base. The stand is rock-solid without any wobble. One of the best features that places this monitor above and beyond its price range is the 90-degree rotating screen, height adjustment, and swiveling base. The stand is rock-solid without any wobble. The speakers are just fine once you discover the menu control I explain below:HOW TO FIX LOW VOLUME SOUND: The built-in speakers are better than some reviewers indicate. I believe most people don't discover that the monitor menu has its own volume control that's set to 50% volume by factory default. If you just connect this monitor to the PC you'll automatically get sound through the HP speakers via HDMI or DisplayPort (you only have to use the separate audio cable when using the VGA input). But no matter how high you turn up your PC volume control, you'll only get 50% volume from the monitor's speakers which is why people complain about low volume. To fix this, all you need to do is go to the "Management" tab of the monitor menu, select "Audio", and then turn up the volume control from 50 (default) to 100 and you'll find the monitor speakers are plenty loud. After that, you'll only have to use your PC volume control as normal. This is a great quality monitor with features beyond its price range. Fantastic value, HP!ADDITIONAL NOTE: HP sells an identical monitor to the HP P24h under the model 24mh. The only difference is that the P24h has a black plastic bezel strip along the bottom instead of silver like the 24mh. Everything else is identical (specs, speakers, height adjustable stand, etc.) plus the P24h comes with both an HDMI cable and a DisplayPort cable.
Bought this on sale and it's been great. Screen brightness works for an office. It's smaller than my previous 23.8 screen. It has speakers although I haven't tested them, the size seems like it would out out better sound than my previous screen. I use computer speakers so it's non issue. The only concern would be no vga support or DVI support. Just hdmi and display port. It does have audio in as well. Happy with purchase, can't speak on durability but since it's HP I'm hoping there is solid support for warranty issues.
We purchased 2 of these .These stands do rotate 90 degrees. However they only rotate to the right (clockwise). Meaning the bottom of the screen (with the widest bezel will be on the left. We use two screens the left horizontal and the right vertical.so this left the wide bezel between the two screens. A bit of reconstruction on the stand allowed us to flip the rotation to have the bottom rotate to the right. Also, there are not any direction on how to rotate the monitor. It's not obvious, but you simply have to firmly turn the monitor attaching plate (I was most comfortable doing this without the monitor attached), remembering that it will only rotate clockwise. You should also note the connections that it has. Haven't used the speakers yet, but that's not why we got them.
OK, the speakers are in the back and they actually work. This is an easy monitor to set up and use right away. I have an older PC so was wondering if something would be off but it isn't, works great. Large for work and great resolution. Great sound though it's coming from the back though I don't mind. Couldn't ask for more at a great price. HP has great products in my opinion - I have 2 printers that are also excellent and were affordable to begin with for my home office. Fast delivery, no issues, used the HDMI cable from my former monitor, otherwise everything else is included.
I was blown away by the quality of the stand and picture on the first one of these I plugged in. Very sharp, good brightness, and the stand is one of the best I have ever seen on a budget priced monitor. The fact that they had built in speakers was great as my desktop PCs don't have speakers at moment and a pain to use for anything. Total intent to use for office work. Allows for full 90 degree rotation, adjustable height and tilt. Then I plugged in the second monitor. The picture was just not good. Whites were more yellow and side by side, didn't look at all the same quality and did not match. I attached a photo side by side.I also did a lot of basic troubleshooting over about 2 hours using different cables (HDMI and DisplayPort tested), computers, etc., and no matter what, the picture was dimmer, yellow and not as clear. The added frustration is product availability from Office Depot. It is currently OOS, so an exchange is not an option. I managed to order one on my phone although OOS, and will ship when available. I have until mid January to return defective one, so crossing fingers I get new one at still sale price and return defective.
I bought 1 of these and liked it enough to buy a second. The quality is great considering the price. A couple things to note, if they might be dealbreakers for you:1. There is no VESA mounting.2. The brightness/contrast/color controls are terrible. The image looks good to the untrained eye, but if you have the intention to calibrate this monitor, you'll be sorely disappointed. The key things to remember are this is an IPS panel with HDMI, DisplayPort, and VGA inputs and good enough picture quality that you'll be fine doing work on it. It's extremely rate that I notice a difference between it and my Macbook Pro's screen.
Easy to set up and use. Connections are hard to reach. You need to take the monitor off the table and lay it flat to add or remove cables. Very sharp image. Nice wide layout. The speakers are useless - tinny and quiet. No physical volume adjustment. Only adjustable from the computer. Can barely hear the speakers even at full volume. I'll need to use external speakers.Documentation is nil. Online documentation isn't much better. Luckily for me, the default adjustments are OK.
