I recently bought a couple of these to replace existing desktops. Our main gripe with these units is the power switch which we find doesn't provide enough feel to determine if it's been turned on, instead having to rely on an indicator light to determine its state. As with most newly bought computers, allow a few hours to complete the setup (including updates). Apart from that, day to day operations are smooth. I've added an additional 16GB RAM and 2TB NVME SSDs to each of our PCs and swapped the keyboard/mouse for Logitech MX wireless units. We had not problems "upgrading" to Win11. Happy to recommend it.

Fast and efficient from startup to operation. Easy to use and stay organized. Great for numbers driven and left brained type work. Greater productivity than my prior computer. More enjoyable to use (for work) than the other type of OS I was using.I have a Favorable opinion of HP Wolf Security so far.Quantity, types, and location of ports works for me. Compact size is nice.A negative is the time required to go through all of the many Windows settings (the defaults are not preferable to me, but at least I have the ability to make changes) and steps to maintain privacy/confidentiality of data. Graphics lacking on this model.Overall though, excellent for what I do.

I wrote a positive initial review from my first impressions, but since working more with the system, I realized the HP security stuff especially, and all the related bloatware, was really putting a drag on the system, to the point where Lightroom was not really usable. Once I got rid of all that (Microsoft Security Essentials comes with windows 11 and works just fine) it is working great now. So I'd say just don't forget that setup step - google for HP Bloatware. I kept the HP Support Assistant and got rid of all the rest.

custom config pc - i cannot even customize any settings on this pc because the "operating system is not activated" - why does HP not test their loads when they do a custom configuration? otherwise the function and speed of the pc is good. I just started to change from Dell over to HP due to frustration with Dell product and support. Now I already have issues with HP as well... disappointed.
Having been used to working with a 13 year old HP Tower that has been patched up many times and is on it's last legs, I can honestly say that using this new PC is a real pleasure. Setting it up took no time at all and downloading my regularly used apps took seconds rather than minutes. So far, so good. I'm sure I'll find some niggles in time but at the moment I'm really impressed.
I am so pleased with this purchase and the great deal I got on it when I bought it. I've been an HP fan for a long time but this system really kicks it up a notch. I especially like the small footprint and the selection of connections available. Very speedy and responsive - I would highly recommend to anyone.
Love the compactness of this desktop and the speed. We use this for our nursery check in at our church and we did have some issues the first weekend with connecting the printer and driver issues; however, we are unsure if the issue was with the printer or computer itself because a couple of days later it started working and we haven't had any issues yet.
I bought a couple of these last month and overall, I am quite pleased with them. The only negatives for me are the semi-recessed power button, lack of SD card slot and the single USB-C port. I have workarounds for the card slot and USB-C port shortage by way of a hub. The quietness of the unit's operation almost makes it invisible. My unit runs some 14-15 hours per day processing all sorts without any drama. I like the ease with which the unit can be opened to access the insides for upgrading RAM and storage drives (which I have done). Happy to recommend this unit as a reliable work horse.
This was my first mini pc, There are many features to like, the size, speed etc. However, it’s been a bad experience from the start. Sometimes it won’t turn on until a second or third attempt, has frozen a number of times. Had to call Microsoft support on 3 occasions, all within the first week, on various issues. The last time, Microsoft went to install latest drivers but couldn’t even locate the pc on hp website. After a lengthy online support session, I’ve decided to return the pc. It maybe a lemon and not representative of this type of pc, but not sure if it worth risking the headaches by replacing it with another mini pc.
No much can I tell because I just got it set up after I received it and not able to restore files from a backup files created by HP Recovery Manager from a malfunctioned HP Pavallion dm4 laptop. Neither can I restore these backup to my HP Pavallion x12 2in1 detachable because of lack of HP Recovery Manager in this elite mini and in the detachable which is running Window 10. I was told to contact Microsoft for assistant when I called HP support for assistance. As an ex-digital employee and owner of 3 HP laptops plus this new mini, I am very disappointed about the support I received from HP for helping me to restore files from a backup to this newly purchased mini.
