The Wi-Fi version is a lot simpler and this is my preferred method, and once you set up the Wi-Fi in the printer and you use the same network to print from your computer or from your iPad or your phone, Process is quite quick and the results are what you see is what you get.Another aspect that’s pretty incredible is the level of quality professional print out this HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e creates. One of the biggest challenges as an artist/graphic designer is the issue of not being able to do a color match what’s on the screen to the print.. This printer is where the WYSIWYG comes shining through, And the color interpretation from the File to the printout is a remarkable match. The Print time of a 11” x 14” poster Is about two minutes, and as the print finishes, the printer itself allows it to return into the feeder for what appears to be "drying time". Overall I would highly recommend for professional grade printing.

I have been having issues with my current printer in my office at work and was eager to try this HP printer for my office needs. I am using the printer at my business and sharing it amongst my tram of employees,, mainly my assistant. I live the touch screen and the fact that the trays hold so much paper. Printing is also fast. One feature I have not had in the past is where the filename you are printing shows up on the printer's screen. I really like that feature. I also will use remote printing quite often as well as scanning and making copies for work related projects. I'm excited to learn more features as time passes on. The app was also easy to download and work with. I recommend this printer even for home office use as it gets the job done, from small projects, to large. The color printing is also crisp and vibrant.

But for my purposes where I will often need to do a large print run of music for my concert band I can't run the risk of running out of ink before the end, so I bought a full set of extra cartridges. There are two capacities to buy -- the regular 936 or the 936e which have twice the capacity.The ability to scan up to 11x17 originals, the ability to scan to the computer, the ability to print on any size paper up to 11x17 makes this the perfect printer for my needs.
I am really loving this printer so far. Setup was very easy and straightforward.I have been testing out various prints and services, and have been very pleased so far. I do a lot of archiving of old photographs and have already scanned about 500 photographs on it the past 2 days. I love the large format scanning bed, this is quite useful compared to the usual, much smaller scanning bed. The scans and copies come out great.The document feeder for making scans/copies seems make the resulting document copy crooked more often than not when printing photos, however it did a good job with normal 8.5 x 11" documents. I may need to test this out further, and will update if I get different results down the road. Smart app should be able to handle this more elegantly or at least give you an error message that tells you the printer needs an update.- Printer is very heavy find a permanent spot and leave it there because its a beast to move by yourself every time.Tips:- I find the printer is much quicker to begin your print job with connected to Ethernet.- Run software updates on device before trying to setup using the HP Smart App.- HP now has a service where they provide high quality paper on a monthly subscription as well, if your looking to not have to run to the store or to be guaranteed you'll always have paper available its a great option however you will save money by purchasing the paper yourself in the long run.- The OfficeJet Pro 9730e has access to His instant ink service, this service is an excellent time saver and money saver compared to purchasing your ink at the store and I highly recommend attaching it as a necessary service for your printer.

I’m printing everything from on-demand coloring sheets for my kids, to PTA signage, and documents for my business. I need my printers to be fast, reliable, versatile, and obviously, print beautifully. Bonus points if they’re quiet! This printer checks all of those boxes. I loved that it was quiet and my computer had no trouble finding the printer and allowing for quick toggling between machines. It is a really large machine, so if you’re working from home or setting this up in a home office, you might need a little support carrying the box. One thing I found a little tricky, was that during initial set-up I ran into a few “oops something went wrong” pop-ups which had me a little nervous, but quick troubleshooting and a second try solved all of those instance. Just worth mentioning if you, like me, get nervous when tech doesn’t work exactly how you want it right out of the box!All in all it’s a really great addition to my office. I think I have finally found a printer to fall in love with! The HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e is exceeding all of my expectations. It took less than 10 minutes to setup out the box, including wireless connection, firmware updating, and alignment test printing. The included and online instructions were both simple and easy to follow.Total highlights for me are the wide format printing and scanning capabilities, the variety of other paper size selections, the amount of paper it'll hold in the 2 paper trays (about 250 each), and the amazing printing speed! Regardless of what I was printing - documents, photos, presentations - whether color or black and white, the clarity was sharp and colors popped. Not having to manually flip the pages is a wonderful and the scan quality is outstanding!Be warned that this printer has a nice size footprint at 23-inches wide, 15-inches high, and 18-inches to 28-inches deep depending on how far out you extend the paper catcher. I had to put it on its own stand instead of my desk, but a totally irrelevant inconvenience considering how fantastic this printer is! Overall, it performs beautifully and is very efficient. Now, if the printer itself was black instead of white, it would truly be the perfect marriage to my home office.

Which again, is very helpful for someone like myself who cannot see well on the smaller screens. The document feeder up top is an automatic feeder, and the printer has two drawers for paper. Which allows for normal sized paper and wider, longer paper if needed. It prints up to 22 pages per minute (I put this to the test myself and it is certainly the truth), and the clarity of the printed document/photos have turned out so true to color.Setup was incredibly easy and we were on air and connected to WiFi within literal minutes. You can print from your phone or from a computer/laptop without having to have the software downloaded. The printer came with 3 months of ink included in the box, and a free trial of HP plus. If you’re questioning whether to purchase the HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e, don’t question any longer, and make the purchase!
