Fun truck, very fast. So far it is pretty durable. HPI support is top notch. Had a small problem with the pinion gear and they stepped up to fix it very quickly. I would recommend this to others. Not sure I could recommend it to beginners as it is a very powerful and quick truck.

There are 2 major drawbacks to this rc and 1 minor. 1st and most importantly, part support. The regular parts are pretty easy to find. It's the hop ups which are totally necessary are where you run into the issues. A lot of the hardened steel parts are on backorder everywhere especially the the drivetrain hd parts. The diff outdrives are nowhere to be found. Also parts are pricey. The 60t idler gear is m.i.a. which is necessary if you plan on running 3s. Which leads me to issue number 2. This thing runs hot! You may think I hate this truck but I don't. I really enjoy it but I want people tobe aware of the issues since they're not mentioned. Hopefully it'll be relieved as hpi is coming back and parts should be more readily available.
Bought this truck for a back yard basher. Super fast on 2s, on 3s it's basically uncontrollable but in a fun way. It's hard to believe how fast it is out of the box. It does wear the dog bones quickly on 3s. I would recommend upgrading to cvd's.
This is a great truck but keep in mind its got its problems. The set screw in the pinion needs lock tight before driving or it will fall out. The shocks need upgraded eventually as there brittle on the bottom. The tires don't have any tractions at all. Other then that theres really nothing wrong with this truck. All that iv just listed can be easily fixed and can be rather cheap "upgrades" if you look in the right place all that being said this truck is wicked fast on 2s. 3s is uncontrollable and asking to break the truck.
On the 2nd battery i broke a dogbone axle. I have since broken about 4 total. Hpi part number 66655. Hpi Racing was recently bought out by another company and parts are few and over priced when you find them. Hopefully the new owners will help that. Truck is very capable. But doesn't bash well. You will break if you run a 3s lipo pack....

But I really like it. - as the truck flips over the antenna breaks off during use on the pavement. - tie rods are weak they pop out or break , there not adjustable. - I bought the wheely bar for it and it doesn't work that well, only sometimes. - you cover will get scratched up bad on top, keep your finger off the full speed trigger at take off. - lower skid plates and bumpers will need to get replaced , because of all the beating it takes. --- But overall it's a GREAT truck !!!!
