Vive XR Elite VR Headset 99HATS002-00

The optics are a huge improvement over my previous headset the Vive Cosmos Elite. I do miss the Valve Index Controllers I was using with that. The controllers here are fine and I haven't had any issues with tracking. There is a fairly limited software selection currently for standalone. I mostly purchased for PCVR though which is working fairly well. I've used it to wirelessly stream with the Vive Streaming hub over a point to point Wifi6 connection to my PC as well as over my Google Wifi Mesh network which is only 5ghz. It works better on 6 of course, but it worked well enough on 5ghz as well. You can also pair bluetooth headphones or use a dongle to get a normal headphone jack from the accesory USB-C in the front of the unit.I'm really enjoying it in glasses mode where there is virtually no pressure on my face.My issue now is trying to find a usb-C cable with power injection that works to charge the unit so i can play PCVR that way without it slowly draining over time.

Software is horrible, very buggy. Not all sensors are enabled. The stand alone games/apps is very limited, maybe 50 or so? HTC rushed to get this out to be with quest pro but it's not polished at all.

Love the feel. Better comfort than my Quest 2 and Quest Pro by far. Love the diopters. All HMDs should have this functionality. Color pass through is awesome. A lot better than the Quest Pro.The only downsides are the FOV and software content. I took off the facial interface which improved FOV considerably with little sacrifice to comfort. The content should improve with time. Overall, I’m very pleased with my purchase. Well worth the wait and price, for me.
