I have had a major competitor's product used for runners. Once I had charged it I was let down by a washed out screen. Then to get a bright screen the battery was gone within 48-hours. Not with this Huawei. It is a true smartwatch that emulates a conventional watch in look and after eight days I still have 18% battery left after playing with it, a lot. Unlike my old watch that massive in all respects, this is compact to wear long-sleeved shirts with. My Huawei has all the features of my old watch and more so. There are lots of watch face options, its screen is just super, the OS is intuitive and the App is really good (you do have to download it from Huawei however because the Google App store is closed to Huawei these days). The app is really good, the sleep tracker is brilliant and a blood oxygen capability makes it an even better deal. My wife got a major manufacturers' smartwatch that struggles to 2-days before charging. At the price I paid (boxing day sale), this is fantastic value for money given I can swim with. Highly recommended into the second week of usage.

Pros: Really nice smart looking watch that has lots of little health apps on it. Not to sensitive so works out what cals you have really burnt also tells you if your warming up when you go into fat burning then more active muscle building. Cons: The Auto workout dont seem to detect lots of work outs. Lots of different types of work outs but no jogging, mountain/ hill walking or trampoline.

Amazing watch and best value!

I absolutely adore this watch!!! Yes, you have to allow some permits so the watch can function, But the quality of the watch, how precise the sensor is... And all the functions the watch offers are totally worth it. I have an android phone and installing the Huawei health app was no problem, it paired to the Bluetooth without any problem. In the beginning it took me a while to learn how to navigate the watch and the app.. but once the learning process was done. I was able to control and improve my trainings also helped me monitoring my results, sleep and track all the calories I'm burning . I find the SPO2 measurement very useful, even more during these covid times. Battery life is amazing too... easily lasts 7-8 days with no charge. Pros: From what my son (Mr Gadget personified) says it's a decent but basic fit watch - exactly what I needed.I particularly like that I can easily see my heart rate and stress levels. Also useful, as I work outside & usually have my phone in a pocket; that I can see text messages on the watch without having to stop what I am doing to retrieve the phone. The remote shutter enables me to set up the camera & take a group photograph rather than the typical 'selfie' pose using an outstretched arm at a weird angle.Great to be able to control the music on my phone from my wrist.Alarm, stopwatch, timer all useful.'Find my phone' is a godsend.Oh, and great for telling the time!! Cons: No manual, and from the link contained in the box with the watch it just referred me to the Huawei website which gives a run down of the watches functions. What I was looking to see was an explanation of, for instance, what does 78 for my sleep score mean - there is no context for that number - is a percentage?? It just tells me that certain aspects of my sleep e.g. REM, Deep, Light are 'normal'.I would also like to see gardening added as a form of exercise - this is something that I do for a living and spend between 4 to 8 hours a day doing - part of the reason for purchase of this product was to be aware of my physical output!

Does everything I need at a great price

Tbf I can't compare this to other trackers as it's my first, but the price is great for what you get. Looks gorgeous, like a watch but light and comfy enough to sleep in. Has in-built GPS, perfect for outdoor exercises without your phone. I use Myfitnesspal app to track calories and this is almost perfect to sync your daily workouts to it - only downside is lack of connectivity between the watch and other apps. Have to use a third party sync app to get the info from the Huawei Health app to Google Fit to Myfitnesspal but once that's sussed there's heaps of fitness apps you can sync to. I especially love the guided, animated workouts on the watch, the super thorough measurements taken all throughout any type of workout, and the fact I can control Spotify playlists ... MoreTbf I can't compare this to other trackers as it's my first, but the price is great for what you get. Pros It has some really excellent features that come as standard which youd have to be a premium member of Fitbit to access with the Fitbit, such as tracking your blood oxygen levels, giving you a sleep score and suggesting improvements, heart rate etc, as well as being waterproof up to 50m. It has a lovely bright display with customisable faces and looks really neat.Cons If for any reason you go out of GPS range when out and about, it wont track all of your steps. I walk a lot in wooded areas where my phone dips in and out of signal, so the watch wont record all of my steps which can be very frustrating. I know that I will regularly walk over 10,000 steps in a day, but my watch and app will only record 3000 steps for example. Sort of defeats the point of a fitness ... MorePros It has some really excellent features that come as standard which youd have to be a premium member of Fitbit to access with the Fitbit, such as tracking your blood oxygen levels, giving you a sleep score and suggesting improvements, heart rate etc, as well as being waterproof up to 50m. Light, functionality and... very pretty

This is the first fitness watch that I actually enjoy using. It has GPS built-in, a great screen, and really clear/useful display when I'm swimming. The only bad point is that it has the ability to receive SMS/WhatsApp notifications, but there's no limits. So, on my Huawei P30 phone, I can tell it not to disturb my overnight, but the Huawei watch will ignore this. And yes, I've been woken up in the middle of the night, after receiving junk messages, so had to turn off notifications completely. Oh, and Strava. The Huawei apps aren't compatible with Strava... but you can get an app Health Sync which will attempt to copy your fitness history into Strava for you.... but it's a clunky solution. Huawei's website is full of users begging for them to make their Health app compatible with Strava... but, years later, nothing has changed. That aside, it's a great watch, great battery life (about 1 week, with always-on display) and my daughter has just asked for one for her birthday.

Not what expected
19 July 2022

Do not buy it if you want things like able to answer phone on the watch, get email notifications, WhatsApp notifications. None of that is supported. I wish I never bought this watch. It's said got GPS location, can't find it. If someone calls you can either hang up or send message, can't answer phone on the watch. I was expecting to get WhatsApp messages, but you don't get them. Waste of money. 8 wish I could return it and buy something better

So far so good
18 September 2022

I bought this after searching different fit style watches, I have never tried anything of Huawei make and so far so good it has been great. It was very easy to set up (everything is done in the app) and I used it from set up straight away. I sat and collaborated my heart rate, stress levels, and even my so02. I do a lot of walking and I'm reaching my daily goal of 10,000 steps, it's so good to see when I'm in warm up to fat burning zone. Lovely colour too, I also purchased the insurance for extra security as I wouldn't want to be without it now. I am pleased with my purchase so far and I've only had it 2 weeks!

Pros: Measures O2.Looks elegant, people compliment on how good the watch looks like. Display is bright and functions easy to navigate through.Correct heart beat measurements.Dynamic tracking is a nice bonus.
