Huda Beauty Blush Filter - Strawberry Cream - 4,5ml

I was gifted Huda blush in the shade cotton candy in exchange for my honest opinion on the product. This shade is absolutely perfect for my pale skin tone. When you first apply it to the cheeks it looks very bright and pigmented but it blends into the cheeks beautifully and leaves a natural pink flush. It has a very soft shimmer within it which helps to keep your skin looking glowy and healthy without being too much. The shimmer isn't too much though and doesn't leave you looking like a mirrorball. What impressed me most about this blush is it's staying power. Once you put it on your skin it stays there until removal. I was a little hesitant since I didn't know how blendable the formula would be and I wasn't sure if the shade would be too dark for me but after using it a couple of times and with different application methods I've been impressed by how easy it is to use and how nice it looks on the cheeks.It has a slightly thick gel-like consistency and I've had no difficulty applying it both under and over powder and it hasn't smudged or lifted my base makeup either way. I can either apply it to the back of my hand and pick it up from there with a brush or sponge or I can use the doefoot applicator and apply the product directly to my cheeks and blend it out- - either method works fine. The formula allows just enough play time for it to be adequately blended before drying down so it doesn't end up looking patchy or splotchy. Even though this is the darkest shade I can make it work for my skin tone but because it is quite pigmented initially I think it will be beautiful on darker skin tones.Another thing to note is that it seems to have a slight staining quality to it so it lasts quite a long time. I've even lightly applied it to my lips and it provides a wash of color that looks absolutely beautiful. The light, creamy formula is contained in an aesthetically pleasing bottle, with a gloss finish, which is a little bit bigger than a lipstick so it's compact for popping in your handbag. The applicator is a velvety, peanut shaped doe foot which allows you to apply the product with the side of the applicator against your face or with the tip. It is nicely pigmented so just two or three dots on each cheek is all you need and it blends out beautifully with my fingers but you can use a brush if you prefer. I place a couple of dots higher up on my cheekbone and blend it outwards and upwards to make my face look more lifted as well as adding some colour.I have really pale skin and this colour suits me really well, adding a flawless blush of colour that can be subtle or can be built up for a bolder result. I really like the soft satin finish as it gives a hint of a sheen but doesn't look shiny or shimmery. Considering how easy it blends and its light, creamy texture, I've been really impressed with its staying power. It really does stay all day. I tend to use it over liquid foundation but I also tried it on my bare skin and it gives a complexion boost on no makeup days. This has quickly become my go to blush.
