This is arguably one of the most refined, versatile designer fragrance a man can get. Fresh, woody, airy, and slightly incensy (not so much that it becomes annoying). I get 8 hours of longevity and 3 hours of good projection. Suitable for just about any situation since it’s fresh enough to be worn during the heat but also woody enough to be suitable in cold weather. Now, you might be thinking: ‘what’s the difference between the EDT, EDP, and Parfum versions? Parfum: denser and woodier. Will last longer and your skin and form a nice scent bubble but won’t project as well as the EDT or EDP versions EDT: best projecting out of the three. Doesn’t last as long as the EDP or Parfum but it is fresher and more citrusy than both. EDP: in between the EDP and Parfum version

I first came across BDC back in 2014, after the EDP release. It was a favorite then, a daily fragrance for a stretch months, and it still remains a joy to be smelled by my nose. The small sample in the picture came in the mail today with a Chanel makeup order. A bright and zesty icon, this is perfect to wear during any time of day, especially during the evening/night. For those in office settings, you may want to reduce by a spritz or two. Lemon zest, bergamot, lavender, sandalwood, and tonka bean are just a few of the standout notes that grace the nostrils and send you on a sensual ride of vibrant mystery. The most elegant and beautiful of the line hands down. I love the addition of lavender and is a much more layered scent in my opinion than the edt and edp. Definitely more ‘perfumey’ but definitely still an incredible masculine fragrance. The performance could be a lot better which is a little depressing but there is no doubt that this fragrance is timeless and overall perfects the DNA in my opinion given my personal preferences. The dry down with a heavy dose of ISO with amberwood, cedar, and sandalwood is addictive and I love the touch of green it has. Just amazingly layered as I mentioned. I do find I need to reapply every 4 hours or so, and I bring a small decant with me. Warmer days tend to work better than cold with this. Each spray is a generous portion, and let’s take a look at the scent profile. This one has more wood notes than the others, and less citrus which is disappointing. This also has less vanilla and vetiver, which a shame as these are universally loved. I do like the more tonka bean, which takes some time, but this isn’t enough to make it overtake the rest of the line. This parfum has been our several years, and if Chanel made this stronger and with the notes lacking, I’d certainly rank it higher. The lack of notes is definitely noticed. It’s like a “laid back BDC.” That’s not what a parfum is supposed to do. It’s supposed to deliver a scent cloud, and this won’t be happening here. There’s no projection to speak of, unless you go absolutely insane with spray amounts. Please don’t do that. It’ll become annoying, in any situation you’re in. The best uses for this are the office or a date. You won’t offend anyone, but chances of having ladies ask what you’re wearing, won’t be happening in abundance. I like this one, and for some guys, you might like this more easy going batch. I wish this was stronger, and that it would last longer. You might get 4 to 5 hours here. At this cost that’s a big time shame. I absolutely recommend the other BDC choices, but this one is only a conditional nod of approval.

Its was boss aftershave and selling for a good price. My lad would rather wear a bad smelling designer label than a cheap nice smelling scent. So I bought him a designer gift. Whilst I was awaiting delivery I had popped into boots and sought out the bottle. I also managed to blag a vial. Very nice indeed, he doesn't know he's getting it, so he might not. My Mrs asked what I had got on, I told her, tester. I find boss original a strong statement smell. Just Different, is like the original, just lighter and sweeter. Original is serious, Just Different, is not there to compete it smells good and draws compliments. My lad even likes it. Hope Santa has got my letter and not stuck in the strike backlog. I will just have to ration the vial.
