The overall quality of the axe is great, but there were a few issues that I felt should not have been there on an axe from Hultafors/Hults Bruk premium line.The head has come loose almost immediately and I'll need to re-seat both the wood and barrel wedges deeper to hopefully tighten it back up. I managed to seat it a full 3/16" further than it came from factory just by smacking the head down on top of a log, so the way the axe was hung was a bit sloppy in my opinion, though it looked decent initially.Also, the haft is very nice grain, perfectly aligned with nearly zero run out, but it is super thick and club like, but this is an issue with nearly every single production axe available today. The axe is gorgeous, well-balanced and performs like a beast. Straight out of the box it is razor sharp and will go through even green and/or hard wood like butter. Couldn't be happier with the selection as I know all Hultafors are worth their weight in gold. In terms of shopping experience, Axeman.ca is fabulous. Fantastic product for the price! This was day two of having this gorgeous axe. I am on the tall side and wish it had a 28" or 30 " handle but that would make it less packable. So for its size this axe has great power.
It's the perfect axe. It's sharp and precise. My second axe is on the way. I recommend AXEMAN for the good service and fast delivery.
I needed a general-purpose axe. Mainly for chopping dried firewood and kindling, but some small tree management too. I got a recommendation for this Axe from the team at Kent and have been blown away. Axe came super sharp and holds it's edge well. It's lightweight enough to take camping or tuck in the back of a car for short trips, but hefty enough to manage larger logs. If you were doing a lot of heavy-duty splitting I'd say to get something else, but this is a great general-purpose axe, and definitely that start of a collection.

Wonderful little axe. The handle needed a bit of thinning and shaping - it was overbuilt for a two pound head.Grain orientation was nearly perfect on mine, and the weight with handle comes to 2.6lbs.I’ve done some cross grain chopping and splitting with this axe, as well as making feather sticks for lighting a few fires. The edge profile wasn’t great for any specific tasks but that’s the point. It managed various tasks reasonably well which is more useful than a specialized axe for a single purpose, especially if you intend to take it on outdoor trips.Highly recommended.
Very good and speedy service (dispatched in 2-3 days if i recall correctly. Received the axe as scheduled via fedex. Don't forget duty and taxes when buying from the other side of the pond, but that's on me.As the product itself, beautiful axe head, razor sharp (and i mean, like shaving sharp) with a beautiful mirror polish. Perfect grain alignment on the haft with beautiful color on the wood, truly a piece of art. The only element less than perfect is on the eye of the axe, where a small piece of the wedgeseems to have chipped away but i'm pretty sure it won't cause problem since there's no gap around the rest of the eye or the shoulder.
First off, I haven't used the axe at the time of this review. I can guarantee though, it will work as a axe should. The review is about the website. It was easy to use. Concise and simple for this simple person. The delivery was extremely quick. Packaged extremely well. As if a baby could be delivered safely in the packaging, vs a axe.
