This gadget is fantastic! With 19 zones, I was somewhat intimidated with the install but it went more smoothly than I thought. Biggest concern was some of the existing wires were cut very short and with wiring in PVC, getting more would have been a real challenge. Programming was a breeze, lots of powerful options. Couldn't be happier.

I wanted to replace my 30+ year old 18 zone controller with one that could be monitored and programmed via a Wifi connection, and use sensors to tune the watering times. This new Hunter exceeded my expectations I was able to fully setup my zones and schedules at the Hydrowise Internet site prior to the delivery of my controller, and just enter the controller's serial number to download the programming once I installed the controller. Better than using sensors, I was able to link the controller to my own Ambient Weather weather station for local temperature, humidity, and solar readings just by selecting it from the Weather Undergroud weather station map. By default it will link to a local airport weather station. Easy to install and program. Swapping out my Irritrol TC 24 EX unit took about 1 hour and programming was a breeze. The app works well as does Hunter's browser interface. One annoying app feature is it only holds password for awhile and does not allow fingerprint login. Also, alerts would be helpful and an easy add. For example, "Schedule X started", Ended", or did not start due to weather including what factor...rain, wind, sensor" etc
Almost perfect replacement 2 for Pro-C controllers. It is only missing a way to set the entire controller to run for a percentage of the defined values ? for example running at 80% of the programmed time. Our rain and water requirements are unpredictable as the weather with our sub-tropical trees. However, this is more than offset by being able to check out the system from the controller to the sprinkler head via mobile phone. It certainly saves lots of trips up and down the hills to make sure all is working well. I would recommend this product. Installation was straightforward and the programming is easy.
Very happy with the controller. Very easy to program and I like the fact that you can add photos of the zones. As this is for our HOA, that will come in handy for future people responsible for the maintenance of this area.Also, I like the ability to control amount of watering based on forecast, temp and winds.

You can manage your irrigation from the internet with this equipment. Not only can you change intervals manually, but it links to your weather to modify the default run time according to conditions. And there are lots of conditions, all of which can be modified or not used. You can manually irrigate from the internet and easily get a report on scheduled or actual watering events. It also interfaces with a flow meter to spots leaks.Overall I expect this unit will pay for itself in the first year and it is fun to use!
I replaced an older model Hunter-24 controller with the PRO-HC 24 and regret only that I waited so long to do so. Installation was a breeze and managing our 17 zones remotely is so convenient. My controller is in my mancave, down by our pond, which meant I was doing some serious walking when I annually walked all zones, looking for sprinkler head issues. Love this controller!
I added a 3rd Hunter Pro HC controller to my Hydrawise network on my property. Have been running them for about 5 years and bought a 3rd without hesitation. Easy to program, manage from my phone and never missed a beat !!!
