The controller worked perfectly, it was easy to install and to set up .However I was disappointed that it has a life of only 5 years unless I am prepared to reprogram it every time I have a power outage as the back up battery will be dead and has no replacement. I can of course add a WAND at a cost of $189, and I do see anywhere what the life expectancy is of the WAND. I cannot help but wonder if it also has a similar life.

One of the best things I’ve done recently, buying a watering unit that had a wireless module. I’ve had the non wireless Hunter watering system for yonks so this was a complete upgrade. From start to finish about 1 hour for the change over and connection to wireless. Love the Hunter app / website, just tops!

Once I read between the lines of the instructions, I was able to get the X2WAND to work. I like all of the features.
Excellent technology. Provides me with control over my watering while I’m away using the phone app. Plus allows me to work with my gardener to prevent watering when he arrives to work on yard. Easy to install and get up and running. Highly recommend this.
Just what I needed. So easy to use and have so much better control of my irrigation system.
The X2 Wand WIFI Module is great. I love having the capability of controlling and scheduling the sprinkler/drip system from my phone.
Once connected and configured it works great! It failed WPS setup, so I had to use the smartphone option, and some of the settings are hard to find. There's no way to know if a master valve is configured without running the setup wizard. Overall I'm glad I got it. It's so much simpler to set schedules on a computer than using dials and buttons on a controller!
The module worked as indicated in the instructions and provided the wifi connectivity that I needed.
Being able to setup advance program and remotely control your sprinkler system is a time saver. I was looking at another unit but it got away. Working as expected.
