I like this headset a lot. The cable is nice and long for those who are sitting a bit further from their PC. I personally only use it with the USB in my old PC and on my laptop. I must admit that it's showing it's first cracks of getting broken (have had it for more than 2 years at this point probably and I'm not specifically careful with it). The fit is comfortable and the audio is good enough for gaming. I've never had any complaints about my microphone sounding bad.

Amazing sound quality but terrible microphone

Had these quite a while now and the sound quality is amazing. Super comfortable, no effort setting up. Only issue is the microphone. Literally everything but the microphone is good. If you plan on using the mic I probably wouldn't get this because of that sole reason. Sound though? Amazing. Mic? Definitely terrible.

Bought these for $39 on sale for my PS5. I really can't complain. For the price, the sound dynamics for the overall gaming experience has conpletely changed. Apart from the mic being a little sensitive depending on the game being played, this can easily be fixed by adjusting the in-game mic settings or moving the mic further away from your mouth. Great score to get the job done in my opinion!

Ok. So i bought this headset two years ago. It has easily been with me for over 3,000 hours of hard core gaming. I've been through MMO's to FPS's to just chilling with music. Music is great with this headset, its a little quiet however and the base is restrained. However i do believe Kingston did this to more focus on the other major features of sound quality such as highs, lows, etc... The detachable mic is a plus because it is well.. detachable! whenever you want to get it out of your face, you can! however this comes at a cost. After about 10 months of use, it became extremely loose and made horrible noises whenever it moved (to the person on the receiving end of communication). But with a little glue its fine mostly, takes away the "detachable" ability of it ... MoreOk. So i bought this headset two years ago. But with a little glue its fine mostly, takes away the "detachable" ability of it however lol. After 6 months however i had problems with the cables and they started acting buggy and failed to provide a concurrent connection. Had to get those replaced. However, This brings me to my main point, And why i gave this 4 instead of 3 golden eggs or whatever you call them lol. I came to realize that your not paying just for the headset, You are paying the for best darn customer support I've seen. I am relatively new to this field but the people at Kingston do a great job. Every time I've contacted them, They have given me wonderful, quick, and very considerate customer service. That cable was buggy? they send a new one with 2 day shipping, And now i just called them up today about the mic issue and another cable issue, and they are in the process of sending me another cable and another mic. This just go's to show that its the customer service that makes a company, not the quality of the product. I am glad i purchased from Kingston, And i will continue to purchase from Kingston if they keep this up. It's a great company, And i believe that you will find this out on your own as well.

Good Entry-Level Headset
12 June 2022

While the headset performs decently, it simply isn't as good as other HyperX headsets on the market. On the PS4 and on the PS5, other players complain that they can hear themselves in my microphone, and the only fix that I've found is turning my microphone sensitivity down to almost nothing.Microphone aside, the audio and sound stage are great. Good for music, gaming, and movies! But I wouldn't expect too much from this headset.

Great music and gaming experience, all in a single headset.

Great sound and quality for the price tag. They are a bit pricier when it comes to gaming headsets, but if you can get them on a reduced price, they are very much worth the cost. Great comfort and can be worn for hours on end. As much as they do cost though, I suggest getting the software for them so you can fix any equalizer options. Sadly, there's honestly not a lot of options in said software, but the pre-made setups in it does make a huge difference when it comes to sound, whether you need it for music, gaming, or just for browsing youtube; There are pre-made settings for just about anything you need. These are not the greatest music headphones, nor the best gaming headset; But rather walk a great middle-ground where you can do both, backed up with great quality ... MoreGreat sound and quality for the price tag. The best gaming headset at this price point by far.

High quality sound rivaling far more expensive options. The bass has serious punch with near perfect mids and highs. The mic is a bit crisp for pro streaming and video creation but can be improved with db boost. More than adequate for gaming on any level with perfect direction and distance articulation needed in shooters. There is no better sub $100 gaming line than Hyper X. Immersive rich sound, useful directional feedback with a better than average mic. The durability with aluminium frames, cups, and connecting screws is unmatched. All leather heavy stitched trim. The set I bought from Hyper X re-certified are for all intents, new. You will not be disappointed in any way..

Got these headphones thinking they would be great. Nope i was wrong, no matter what I get a echo in chat on Playstation. I went through all the settings , my friends changed their settings and still a echo no matter what. Everyone echos. Echos even in game chat too. I don't reccomend . I am switching to turtle Beach brand.

I went through so many shoddy headsets that I spent 3 months researching what headset to buy to finally get one that would last. This one has lasted 3 years now. I have moved several times, two kittens played with it, and it's been through a house fire. This is the most durable and reliable headset I have ever owned. The only cons are that it's a bit heavy, makes my ears sweat, and the heavy duty cords ALWAYS get twisted and have to unplug and re-straighten them. Other than those things, I am simply amazed how long this has lasted. I used to have to handle old headsets like they were delicate, brittle things that were going to break any minutes. I've gotten so used to this headset that I fling it on the back of the couch all the time. i will be comparing these to the previous listening devices i'm most familar with which are the koss solo's, black & mild iem, apple earpod, sennheiser hd428, and a Logitech Premium USB Headset 350 . i also took band playing precussion and later being 1st chair tuba/sousaphone. when i first opened them i was amazed at the packaging. no other piece of equipment i've ever purchased has even come close to being packaged as good as these were (including gpu's). the build quality is also the best i've ever seen on a headphone with the majority of them being made of metal. add to that the stitched leather and 2 pairs of pads (leather/cloth) and these would even be a good purchase at double the price (at time of purchase was $86) all the reviews i read before i purchased ... Morei will be comparing these to the previous listening devices i'm most familar with which are the koss solo's, black & mild iem, apple earpod, sennheiser hd428, and a Logitech Premium USB Headset 350 . i also took band playing precussion and later being 1st chair tuba/sousaphone. when i first opened them i was amazed at the packaging. no other piece of equipment i've ever purchased has even come close to being packaged as good as these were (including gpu's). the build quality is also the best i've ever seen on a headphone with the majority of them being made of metal. add to that the stitched leather and 2 pairs of pads (leather/cloth) and these would even be a good purchase at double the price (at time of purchase was $86) all the reviews i read before i purchased these states that these are the most comfortable headphones they've ever worn and i had my doubts since i wear a size 8 1/4 hat (everything not custom made usually stops fitting when you get over a 7 3/4 hat size) so the first day I received them i wore them for 12hours only taking them off when i got up and left my room (bio/food breaks) and i'm very surprised that my ears didnt hurt at the end of the day except a little around the outter edges. when using them in Left4Dead2 i could easily tell where my team mates were by the sound of their gun fire, but smoker's and boomers i could only get a general direction. now that i've had them for a couple weeks i can wear them for 8+ hours every day and my ears dont hurt at all (they do get a little warm thanks to the leather pads) and i too say that this is the most comfortable headset/headphone i've ever worn. i've also tried to go back to some of my previous listening devices just for a comparison and everything just sounds wrong. this headset for me has the ssd effect where it doesnt seem that important until you use one then once you have one you cant stand being without it. one of the aspects of this headset i love most is its ability to passively block out sound. sitting in my room listening to music at about 50% max volume while playing minecraft it blocks out almost all other sounds. i've got in trouble with family because i missed a delivery person because didnt hear them knock on the door which is 10 feet from my room by walking trough my apt or directly outside my bedroom window. when using the mic over teamspeak 3 with some friends they said i sounded good and that my speech was a little bit punchy. they couldnt hear the 2 80mm fans i have hooked up to a 12v connection 1.5feet away from from my head so the noise cancelling is fantastic on them as my previous headset picked them up and annoyed people (they are loud as ones a 3k rpm fan the other a 2k rpm). when using the add-on volume/mic/extender the volume knob works great, the mic on/off slider introduces a very tiny bit of static while muting the mic, but the push to mute button they said gives a stuck cd/locked up snes game sound (it did mute the mic btw).
