This creamy/smooth balm is really similar to other cleansing balms I have used in terms of texture and application. Products like the Banila Co. Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm and Aromatica Orange Cleansing Sherbet have very similar consistencies and feels. Application is pretty straight forward…just remove a small amount with the included spatula and either melt with your hands to create an oil to apply or massage the product directly into skin. I found this cleansing balm to melt down really well and create a nice/even layer on my skin without too much effort. But from there…the similarities between this product and other cleansing oils kind of ends. The least negative difference (yeah…just from that you can probably tell I’m not a fan LOL) would be the scent. I found this cleansing balm to melt down really well and create a nice/even layer on my skin without too much effort. But from there…the similarities between this product and other cleansing oils kind of ends. The least negative difference (yeah…just from that you can probably tell I’m not a fan LOL) would be the scent. I really went back and forth on if I liked it or not, but landed on not. The fig comes through with a kind of jammy, sweet, nutty, and raisin-y scent that I don’t mind. But, the added fragrance also includes some floral and potpourri notes that really throw me off. I’ve described other products as smelling like decades old potpourri my great grandmother would have out…and this cleansing balm is verging into that territory.Even with the scent not being my favorite, I was still more than willing to push through with this product. But after a few uses…I noticed that my skin was just not feeling as thoroughly cleansed as I expected from a cleansing balm. There always seemed to be a residue or even slight tacky-ness left behind that wasn’t totally gross/uncomfortable but rather just…different. My suspicions grew when I incorporated a new water based cleanser shortly after starting the with I’m From Cleansing Balm. That water based cleanser is marketed as “gentle” so I wasn’t expecting it to be super intense…but it had a really hard time lathering or really doing much after the cleansing balm. It was almost as if it was trying to “work through” the leftover cleansing balm before even getting to my skin. Using the same water cleanser in the AM (so with no cleansing balm) offered much better results…so I knew something was up.The nail in the coffin for this product was when I switched from a water/sweat-proof SPF back to the Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence. The cleansing balm felt like a totally different product! It seemed more thorough in cleansing, emulsified better, and rinsed so much more cleanly and thoroughly. The water cleanser I used afterwards felt like it did in the AM (if not even more impactful) and the residue/odd feel that was typically left on my skin vanished. It was then that I realized that the I’m From Fig Cleansing Balm might not be up to the challenge of removing stronger/waterproof SPFs.I’m not a makeup wearer so I cannot speak to its ability to remove things like foundation/eye products…but I have to imagine things wouldn’t go well if sunscreen proved to be too much. The I’m From Fig Line is geared towards anti-aging and hydration while also being gentle, so I suppose I can excuse this result. Those that have found cleansing balms from brands like Banila Co. to be too intense might find some use with this product. Just beware that makeup/sunscreen might make this product less effective than you hope. For me, the decision to discontinue using this cleansing balm only two weeks into use comes down to incompatibility with my lifestyle/routine. I use quite a bit of sunscreen throughout the day (both waterproof and not) and really need a first step cleanser that can take those layers off. I haven’t had this issue with other cleansing balms so it was kind of surprising. The ineffective cleansing result (for me) in addition to the not so ideal scent (also for me LOL) makes this one a pass and a product that I don’t think I could recommend. Both the Banila Co. Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm and Aromatica Orange Cleansing Sherbet are excellent alternatives that removed every layer of sunscreen (including waterproof) without feeling too stripping or drying. I’ll be asking around to see if any local peeps want to take a chance with the rest of my I’m From Fig Cleansing Balm…otherwise its headed for the bin.

I’ve tried double cleansing before with an oil and it would always take me an absurd amount of time, honestly putting me off cleansing as a whole despite how important it is. But with this, you can use the exact amount of balm you want for your face before it turns into an oil so you don’t have to worry about it dripping down your palms and forearms, and making it easier to clean off afterwards. I hate the feeling of my face being covered in too much oil and being able to choose the amount of product I’m using, instead of just having to spray it out of a bottle, means that my face never gets too product-heavy. The product instead feels nourishing when I put it on and refreshing when I take it off. The smell is calming and the whole experience of letting the balm melt on my skin is actually one of the most relaxing parts of my skincare routine now. It is a very effective cleanser and, while I would recommend checking other reviews of your skin type and being careful if you have sensitive skin due to the fragrance, I don’t think it would be detrimental to any general skin type. I would recommend it for all who wish to encompass a luxurious and relaxing step during their cleansing routine without the hassle of more difficult oil cleansers.

I have used this a couple of times and I am always greeted by the sweet & fruity scent. This does contain fragrance but I don’t mind since it’s a wash off. Almost smells too delicious that I might accidentally have taken a bite of it. This melts almost instantaneously when I rub it into my face. It does not feel drying on my face at all when I wash it off. I have not tested this when I use eye makeup because most makeup remover just blurs the crap out of my vision, will update again for this✌🏼Definitely seeing myself getting this again because I like this as much as the Banila co cleansing balm that I have been religiously using for years🤩

Fig Oil Water is also rich in vitamins and polyphenol and had excellent moisturizing effect.✨My experience:I absolutely love this balm’s soft sherbet-like texture, light pink colour and floral scent! The balm is rapidly turns into the oil upon contact with the skin and spreads easily over the face. It does great job removing makeup, emulsifies easily and washes off without residue. My skin feels really clean, fresh and supple after using this balm! There’s absolutely no irritation, dryness, stripped or “squeaky clean” feeling. I usually still use the foaming cleanser after it, as I practice double cleansing technique, however, it’s totally fine to use on it’s own. While it does great job cleansing and keeping the skin moisturized and balanced, I did not notice any blackheads reduction after using the whole jar of it.This balm does contain fragrance. The scent is pleasant, but a bit overpowering. I didn’t have any skin reactions, however, people with sensitive skin should patch test before using!Overall, I did enjoy using this balm and would definitely repurchase and recommend to others!

The sorbet texture of the balm easily melts into oil when you slightly rub into your skin which I felt quite grease but not typically. As it has contact to the water it will turns into milk texture, containing enriched keritanise makes skin smooth and silky even after cleansing. It comes on a jar with a little spatula to scoop the balm. But I’m not fan of the spatula since the side area on the jar doesn't seem to get the little amount on a balm. It has a strong fragrance and I personally don't have no any irritation or problem with it especially my acne prone- sensitive skin. I'm from's Fig Cleansing Balm is designed to remove makeup and impurities from the skin. The cleansing balm contains 100 ml (3.38 oz) and doesn’t have a super noticeable scent. The balm comes in a sturdy plastic jar with a spatula. The product is a balm type of cleanser, as mentioned, that melts down and becomes oily. (The lipstick here is Maybelline’s Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick in Thrillseeker). This lipstick is a very hard one to get off and is awesome for a long-wearing product. It leaves skin smooth and silky and really adds more bounce to the skin. It doesn’t dry out or strip the skin and leaves it looking fresh. Recommended use is to apply to use the spatula included to scoop out an adequate amount of dry skin and leave for 10-15 minutes and then gently massage to remove makeup. Then, wash off with lukewarm water. It’s cruelty-free, artificial coloring-free, and vegan. After using, this cleansing balm does contain fragrance, so keep that in mind. Apart from the fragrance, there are no major irritants. The balm has a fairly thick consistency and does start to melt down pretty much immediately. It’s easy to remove all makeup with this, especially as it doesn’t burn the eyes at all. I do find it more effective to really leave this on for the full 15 minutes to break everything down but it does work if you have to hurry to take it off. The ingredients are nourishing and really great for the skin and I didn’t notice any irritation or redness left over, once rinsed off, my skin felt smooth and soft and hydrated and it looked brighter and more even. It’s a very effective balm cleanser and I’d recommend it to this anyone with dry or even sensitive skin in some cases. What I like: I like how effective this cleanser is at removing dirt and makeup and it’s very easy to use around the eye area. The ingredients are great and there are minimal irritants in the ingredient list. It has a very light, kind of hard-to-detect scent and it’s actually a very gentle cleanser. What I don’t like: this does contain fragrance.

This is very interesting cleansing product.I use quite minimal makeup (just foundation & mascara) and it washes it away well enough while leaving my skin feeling soft. Not at all dry unlike some other cleansing products. I need to go back to remove leftover mascara with eye makeup remover which I don't personally mind. The strearin/hardened coconut oil like texture that melts with water on your skin is such a fun addition.Would definitely recommend and I'm sure I'll get this product again.
