Ibanez AEWC400 Acoustic Guitar (Amber Sunburst High Gloss)

After a very long year of ups and downs with my mental health and marriage I decided to dedicate my energy into music again. I shopped around and lost hope with how expensive guitars were. I was strolling around on the internet and came across this website. This has been the best experience I have ever had buying music equipment. The fact that one can buy a $600 guitar over 12 months of installments is insane. Did I mention 0 interest? These guys helped me tremendously both mentally and financially and I will thank them by buying more in the future. As for the guitar, I have had it for about 3 months, the sound is perfect, the Deep vibrato and rich sound brings pleasure to the mind. This guitar surpasses any expectation I had and would definitely recommend this buy!

The Ibanez AEWC400 Acoustic Electric Guitar is now one of the most beautiful guitars I own, that comparison is one to twenty-six. I have had this guitar almost two weeks. It's overall construction and finish is excellent. The play-ability is great and the fret board is perfect. The sound, tone unplugged is satisfying, however, plugged in presents an amazing picture. The sound quality is out of this world. I find myself wanting to play it as soon as time permits each day, and once playing ... I don't want to put it down. I love this guitar. This beauty is so comfortable to play and the EQ has so much warmth and crispness to it, no additional pedals are necessary. I paid 3 times as much for my Taylor and I've never been as satisfied with the tone as I am with this Ibanez. I gig over 300 shows a year ((in Florida!)) and this little tuffy has never let me down. I'm not the easiest on my equipment at all times, but I invest in great cases to help protect the equipment and instruments from the weather, the road, and from myself. Get the Ibanez hard shell case they recommend and this baby will last forever. Love it! Ibanez is the way to go for me ????

The shape isn't quite as comfortable as it looks. It's not uncomfortable, but I suspect all the different shapes have more of an effect on sound than they do ergonomics. The sound is a bit thin, and lacking fullness, particularly in the low end bass. The color is more black than anything, and the burst doesn't really come through unless you're looking at it under ample lighting. The biggest complaint I have is the frets are absolutely atrocious. They're extremely rough, and feel like they've been machined by tomorrow rodents. Hopefully some sandpaper and patience will do the trick. Overall, though, it's a good buy at the price.

AWESOME GUITAR!

Overall:So I had my eye on this guitar for a while, but ended up buying another one from instead.BIG MISTAKE! Other guitar sounded horrible live. Wouldn't stay in tune etc. It looked cool, but the sound just wasn't there! So ...I sent it back! I'm in an acoustic rock band that plays out a few times a month so I needed something that I thought looked great and a nice unique (black) color, had the features I wanted...(onboard tuner, pegless bottom Bridge for easy string change and stays in tune better, black tuners).This guitar checks all those boxes! First the lines/contours of this guitar are amazingly BEAUTIFUL and extremely comfortable/easy to play. I bought the TRANSPARENT BLACK model. In real life this thing is DARK! I Love Ibanez but wasn't sure what to expect.

Overall:I have never owned an Ibanez acoustic guitar. I have owned a few of their electrics though. I have come to expect a certain quality from Ibanez. My first Ibanez was S540Sabre and I absolutely LOVED that guitar. I traded my Fender Strat for it. I was into metal and hard rock and the 540 had the sound and look I wanted. I couldn't believe I traded the guy even up for the 540. I did have Lace Sensor pick-up in it and he was looking for more of a bluesy sound and look. Unfortunately I had that guitar stolen from me. I really couldn't afford another guitar like that one until recently, family and life took over. When I found zZounds I could not believe a website music store like this existed! I was in shock! Since I found zZounds I have gotten another Ibanez S-series, the S670QM and I absolutely love it! I was able to get a RG421 from another local music store but the guitar was lacking some looks and features I wanted but couldn't afford. I was also able to get my first Marshall Half-Stack and a awesome stomp box! Anyway back to this acoustic. I got it today and started to play it right away. I was comparing it to another electric-acoustic I own and was liking the sound of my cheap one over this one until I plugged it in. HOLY *#$! I am super impressed with they way it sounds through my Marshall! Besides it being one of the most comfortable guitars I have ever played the sound through an amp is second to none. My other cheaper acoustic might sound a little better without and amp bit doesn't even come close to this Ibanez when plugged in. Besides the sound this is one of the most sexiest guitars I have ever owned. The looks are amazing! The contour of the body is like a supermodel! I got the Indigo Blue Burst color and it shines! This guitar is by far one of the best looking I have ever owned. I LOVE Ibanez and I am exclusive to them. I highly recommend this guitar to anyone who is looking for a great electric-acoustic to plug in. The neck is super fast and my fingers glide! I gave it a 3 1/2 for sound because of the lack of fullness when unplugged.

My favorite (electric) acoustic ever

I have spent most of my life playing solid body electric guitars but we perform some songs that just sound better using an acoustic. The beveled comfort edge intrigued me because my forearm bruises and swells when playing a traditional acoustic guitar. My arm hurts for days. This model is comfortable for me to play for hours. I love the feel and the action and the rich chime-y tone. I love the feel of the neck. On board tuning and EQ is nice also. I have recommended this guitar to several friends who wound up ordering one for themselves.

Not what I've come to expect from Ibanez

Overall:I'm an Ibanez player and I certainly wasn't impressed by this addition to my collection.I'm not convinced this guitar is new. It's covered in scuffs and all the metal seems worn. It's much more flattering in stock photos. The line work around body is poor, the edges don't line up. The flamed maple on the sides may as well be solid black. Can't see the flame like in photos. The finish seems to flex when you poke it. If you hold the guitar upside down by the neck and just spin it or wave it back and forth slightly, the neck joint makes a noise as if it's not fully seated or glued. There are obvious spots that were worn down and have been touched up with black paint that doesn't match the finish. Outstanding

Whoever designed this guitar must have had a Ph.D in ergonomic and aesthetic design, the bevels and curves on this instrument are ingenious. It is a beautiful instrument. If I had ever seen one up close and personal I would have walked out of the store with it. None of the online images do it justice. The fit and finish are as perfect as any I've seen, and all this for only $. The sound is full and balanced. You don't need to plug it in, but if you do you have both a 1/4" input as well as an SLR. The onboard tuner is awesome as well. I don't like the heavy strings that come with it, I replaced the 12's with 10's, a little light on the treble side but for me improves the playability. SHAME ON GUITAR CENTER - MAJOR QUALITY CONTROL FAIL

Major quallity control FAIL. The boxes that it was shipped in were perfect, but the guitar has a HUGE CHUNK OF WOOD taken out of it!!! Does Guitar Center EVEN CHECK BEFORE THEY SHIP THEIR PRODUCT?!?!? I even paid extra for 2 day shipping and I waited a week. Not only that, the bridge had a chunk out of it too!!! Disappointed doesn't even describe how I am feeling. Now I have to drive an hour to a ups shipping center here in Hawaii JUST to send this back! And then wait another two weeks HOPING they check the next one! I thought this was Guitar Center....where they specialize in quality control and quality products....NOPE!
