Icebreaker 200 Oasis Short Sleeve Crewe Black XL Men

I am expecting these to be the usual high quality and durable Icebreaker product, not yet received, but probably only because I have not been to the PO Box in a week or so.But had wanted to review the Salomon GTX Ultra 4 footwear. I bought these because I was very happy and comfortable in my old GTX3's which are no longer available. The 4's look good, and seem well made, but are in some ways subtly different in the cut and fit. The 3's were comfortable out of the box, the 4's may need some serious work, which these days is unusual. First walk generated three blisters and a hot spot. They may have to find a different home. Everyday Shirt

I purchased this shirt after doing extensive research into quality clothing and fabric. For me quality craftsmanship and durability is of utmost importance. I had the need to replace my wardrobe with clothing I could rely on, waste less on laundering (or eliminate it), and be comfortable in. The last Merino shirt I tried had overlock stitching right over the shoulders which drove me crazy!To me clothing is just that, it is supposed to clothe your body. It should be functional and worthwhile. This shirt ticked all of my metaphorical boxes. It is super comfortable, has better construction than I've seen in any garment, and allows me to go weeks with out cleaning it. There are details that I didn't even know I wanted until I received this shirt. It has replaced pretty much all of my shirts in my wardrobe, and I am now a lifelong supporter of your business! Excellent Healthy Undershirt

I have been searching for years to find a moisture wicking undershirt which is made of non-toxic materials, ie, not polyester or some plastic derived fabric which leaches micro plastics and other toxins into the wearer, for my job in fire/ems. This undershirt is a bit pricey but so far it’s help up pretty well, I’ve made sure to only air dry it, and it does a good job of moisture wicking. It’s not a miracle product but it does better than the issued cotton undershirt I was using before. That’s pretty much all there is to it. The fit is good, runs normal to small, especially if you have a broad muscular build.

Good product, lousy colour choices

The product is fine - this was a repeat buy to replace a worn out one. I am very disappointed by the limited colour options available in the UK. I don't want Boring Black, I can accept Navy, I reluctantly bought this rather peculiar shade of blue - what's wrong with some primary colours like Red, Yellow or at least a decent Royal Blue?

Great fit and comfort

These shirts are light, yet tougher than cotton, it is well made, feels great and wears well. It started with one long sleeve base layer and pants. This year it is ice breaker again. It's 100% merino. The cut style suits me and I'm happy with the way it hides my chubbiness I've gained from being less active recovering an injury.The fabric doesn't pick up odours, it resists the bodies dirt and oils. Learning about how efficient it makes the clothing is an easy sale for. Well made, great fit.This shirt doesn't hug or drape on me, it sits nicely on my shoulders.

I would buy this product again, no question

This is the perfect tee shirt! I would not buy anything that is thinner. It keeps you cold when it is warm and warm when it is cold. The fit is athletic and looks stylish, I hate baggy tee-shirts. I have no issues recommending this one over blends, especially since the fabric looks solid.

Icebreaker 200 Oasis Merino Base Layer. Received the goods, the tailoring is slim, the workmanship is fine, and the material is great. Height 172cm, 63kg, size S. We recommend sizing down. Looking forward to a new color in white. Will buy next time.

Simple, awesome, masterful

175 cm, 75kg, broad shoulders, M fits great.Very comfortable. Icebreaker offers one of the best sewing designs for clothing, and this piece is not an exception. It fits snuggly but it is not skin-tight, so it's more accessible, at least for me.If you're comparing alternatives, do yourself a favor, spare yourself the time, and rest your decision on this product.

Solid performer - soft next to the skin.

This top performed well in every activity and situation I threw at it. It's more versatile weight and more durable than other Merino layers. All in all, a very comfortable base layer with a fit that may run on the smaller side.Good:The 100% Merino wool is stretchy and soft next to the skin.Not so good:If you are on the taller side, the torso could use a little more length

Of all my Icebreaker baselayers (200s and 260s, both zone and not zone), the 200-gram/m^2 oasis fabric is the shirt I grab 90% of the time. I have both long and short sleeve oasis crews. I am 6'3", 170 lbs, 41-inch chest, 31-inch waist and I buy all Icebreaker baselayers in medium. For shirts that try to snug up across chest, I put them on wet fresh out of the washing machine and stretch that chest out a bit while fabric is damp. I've found I can also stretch some extra length into damp arms of the long sleeve oasis crews by stretching them damp. I never put these in dryer. I make these shirts work for me. The oasis fabric has the fortitude to be pushed, stretched (while damp), and is a tight-enough weave to resist getting grabbed by tree limbs. If you can get only one Icebreaker for a base layer shirt, I recommend oasis 200 fabric, I recommend them snug, and my experience says to not be afraid to put them on damp and --- not too aggressively --- coerce the damp 100%-merino fabric to mold to your shoulders, chest, and arms. 100% wool has some degree of fit-to-form adaptability if you go about it gently while fabric is damp.
