The Icebreaker 260 Tech women's baselayer tights offer all the natural benefits of merino wool in a versatile, comfortable design. The merino wool jersey of that baselayer bottom insulates during cold winter days on the trail or the ski slopes, and it resists odours and breathes efficiently on runs, hikes and summer trips into the mountains. The merino-wrapped elastic waistband and the flatlock seams provide a comfortable fit that lasts all day. This garment is part of a layering system that provides comfort and warmth for your outdoor activities. Easy to layer, this base layer enables you to regulate your body temperature by wicking moisture away. This onion layering system is made of three types of clothing. The first layer, worn next-to-skin will provide warmth and quickly move moisture away from your skin. Then, the second layer, is the insulation or fleece, that provides warmth while also dissipating heat during periods of high output. And finally, the third layer, the shell, which is the most weather-protective layer, worn on the outside of all other layers.

Don't know how I lived through winter without these. Very warm. They're lightweight and comfortable (not itchy at all). It's good for layering, just not appropriate for wearing under tight clothing like fitted jeans. When it's crazy cold out, I put two of these on, regular baggy joggers on top, and I'm super toasty all day.

pros:Not scratchy. Not too tight but not baggy. Fits under my jeans and under my leggings without and bulking. Wear it under leggings and it's been good enough to wear in -15 degrees!Minimal branding ( do like the waist band branding tho). Actually high rise.9/10.Only thing I would change is it is a tiny tiny bit see through. Would wear around the house without anything over them... but couldn't wear in public or outside with sun light by them selves as you would be able to see my underwear

So comfy, soft and warm. I've worn them around the house, slept in them, worn them outside for cold weather walks, bike rides and snowboarding. They wick sweat and have no odour, ever! Pretty opaque so could wear as leggings. I'm 5'9 all leg and these are perfect. The high waist is great and comfortable, doesn't roll down. Honestly in love with them! So glad I finally got a pair.

I have a curvy butt and it is so so nice to have a high waisted base layer bottom because it fits over all the curves! Holds it shape pretty well (I wash it every few weeks) and really can go a long time without starting to smell. I love love love the high waist. There is no Icebreaker logo on the back. I wash them on cold and hang to dry. Been wearing these all winter as a base layer to keep me comfortable in our cold house and outside.
I have the regular 260 leggings in navy, but bought these high rise ones, and they are even better, and I'm not even tall. About 5'4" and 120 lbs, and they go up to my waist, which is perfect. I have Raynaud's and get cold very easily, so I wear merino base layers under everything in late fall and through winter. I live in southern Ontario, Canada, and today it's -16ÂşC, but -30 with the wind. Earlier this week I had windows open in the house during the day it was so mild. I would totally buy these again, and I love the navy colour. I have 2 of the navy 260 tops too.
This is the perfect base layer for adventure or day-to-day use. It gets cold where I live, and I'm outdoors often, so I wear a base layer most days for a couple of months out of the year. These are comfortable, don't bunch up uncomfortably, and don't retain any odors. These have definitely become my new favorites, and I would highly recommend them!
The rise is exactly right. The large fit like a glove and stay put without being tight. And they are warm when needed but never overheat. And they don’t itch, which is hard to find with sensitive skin. They are perfect. I wish I had bought a second pair before they sold out for the season. Please bring these back next year.
Used it skiing and snowtubing in low 30's under non-insulated bibs. I tend to run cold but it waswarm, comfortable, and very lightweight! I am 5' and athletic. it was a bit long and the legs were tight and waist is a bit loose. That is the usual way most of these brands fit though. It was way warmer for the weight than two other brands I've tried (smartwool, and another one). But it worked well and keeping it!
These are the best merino base layer leggings I’ve ever worn. They are well-made and extremely comfortable. The high-quality, thick, knit fabric is soft and not itchy (even if you’re sensitive to wool like I am), and very warm. Fits perfectly, true to the size chart, and the waist band is comfortable, not constricting.
I have an older pair of regular fit 200 Icebreaker leggings that tore after a couple of ski seasons, but I was almost relieved to have an excuse to get rid of them. The rise was too low for pants meant to keep me warm (I’m 5’10”). In general, this company’s clothes seem to better fit short-to-average height women. I had no plans to purchase anything from them again, until I discovered these. They’re great! Truly high rise. Hopefully they won’t tear for a while.
