These hashbrowns are perfect! Easy to make and portion. Come out perfect every time! Much better than the frozen version. They have been only available through shipping in my area for the past few weeks. Does this mean they will no longer be available in the stores? PLEASE bring them back!

Dried hash browns are the only way to go. You just measure out how many potatoes you want and add boiling water too just cover them. Ten to 15 minutes and you are ready to fix them anyway you want. No freezer space needed . Just put the rest of them in air tight container . I love love these

Just finished breakfast. Here's the way you make these hashbrowns: 2- cup glass measuring cup Fill with the dried hashbrowns Quarter or half stick of butter, chopped up, laid across the top Fill with water. Place in microwave. 2 minutes on high, or until the butter is reasonably melted. (Optional)While the taters are reconstituting, fry up some bacon. Do this on medium-high heat. When 3/4 done, place on two layers of Bounty in a large microwavable plate. Cover with two more Bounty sheets and another same plate, inverted, that is upside down. Poor off the excess bacon grease. (optional) Finely chop some sweet onion. Toss it in the pan. Add some butter if you didn't make the bacon. Remove the now moist and fat taters from the microwave where they've been waiting. ... Great chance that they'll be ready to go. Fire up the pan on highheat, toss in the hashbrowns, mix with the onions. Place the covered bacon plate in the microwave. Heat on high for 30 seconds. Let sit . Mind the hashbrowns After a while, start turning small sections of the taters to be sure they are browning nicely. Eventually, you'll have them looking like a million dollars. Push them into little piles and crack some eggs in between. Turn the bacon plate over. Heat for another 30 seonds on high. Remove from microwave and place uncover on the table. Plate your eggs and hashbrowns. Enjoy your breakfast. I probably should have started with, use a nice non-stick 14" skillet.

I love cooking with this product! I had always purchased frozen hash browns prior to trying these dehydrated hash browns. I use a little extra water to rehydrate, make sure they’re dry before cooking on a flattop griddle. Cook them in butter on one side ONLY until that side is as crisp as you like it makes these even better than my local diner! These are great as a side dish for pork or steak too. And can’t beat the price!
I was hesitant to buy hash browns like these because they are dried, in a box. I have always used hash brown patties to serve with my eggs benedict but after the pandemic those became sparse. The bags of shredded hash browns in the freezer section are cumbersome to me because they always freeze in clumps that are a pain to break up. I tried these and was super surprised at how good they are and they last in the pantry for a while, even after opening. Easy to make, they are now my favorite eggs benedict side. Just add equal parts of the potatoes with water and let them sit for 12 minutes, then drain and fry them in olive oil on medium heat until browned to your liking (about 8-10 minutes).
Tastes just like restaurant hash browns and very easy preparation and cook time. You can add anything you like while cooking and it stores well. With a small family or retired couple like us we can’t use a bag of potatoes before they go bad. These have a great shelf life and if your a person who likes to have food storage for emergencies this is for you.
It was for these hashbrown potatoes that we joined Sam's in the first place! My family just loves these and the storage and convenience is perfect. Prep time is minimal and they are so good. Unfortunately, they went out of stock a few weeks after we joined, but then they were available on line. Upgraded membership to be able to get free shipping and they sold out on line! Waited almost a year before I saw them again online. Purchased 20 boxes immediately!
The delivery was quick; and stores well! So tasty! I fill a pint container with the dehydrated hash-brown potatoes; then I pour hot water into the container and loosely cover, so the hot water activates and re-hydrates the shredded potatoes within 10 minutes. Heating a non stick pan or wok I add a little vegetable oil , then spread the potato contents and allow them to brown. For those professionals can safely flip the potato patty to brown, or use a spatula. (As a breakfast/brunch side this should serve 4)
We just tried these for the first time. You soak your dehydrated potatoes for 12-15 minutes & then pan fry them. So good and very tasty. We love breakfast suppers when nothing else sounds better. ;) This is a perfect side to any meal. Enjoying these! :)
I love these little boxes of hashbrowns. I’ve used the giant boxes for years, however, they stay much fresher on the shelf. They’re great for your morning, hashbrowns, or to put in soups, or anything that calls for potatoes. One day I’ll figure out the waffle House recipe using them.
