this gun is Junk. trying to measure the temp. of a cooler and this thing is off by a lot, in fact I tried multiple times and it would give me different readings each time.
Was very inaccurate For a few bucks more got a much better unit
It is quality made, fairly accurate, but does not detect temperatures on light colored surfaces such as bus bars and heat sinks. It does detect temperatures on plastic, solid state devices, though.
Great price and does what it is supposed to do. Very easy to use..
Not a bad unit at all but bottoms out on low temperatures around -20 Deg F. Working with refrigeration we would prefer a thermometer that would measure to -100 deg F
