Absolutely loved this book. Quirky and twisty and absorbing. If you liked The Secret History by Donna Tartt you’ll love this.

This book is amazing! If it weren't for the perfect ending I would demand a sequel but I'll settle for their next book. It keeps you guessing until the end and the jump between past and present are amazingly suspenseful. I was skeptical about the setting but it's played up so well! Instant reread!

I had not heard of this book, I picked it off the shelf in a random book store. I read the entire thing in two days, I loved it. The character development, the storyline, the plot twists and you're guessing till the end. When you think you know whats going to happen next, something makes you question it, one I would definitely recommend to friends.
I tend to think about this book often. i’ve re read it now and it is honestly still my favourite book.
I love Shakespeare with a burning passion and have always wanted to read something where it feels as if someone understands that fiery love, and with this book I’ve finally found that. Immediately I was hooked, there was never a moment I got bored. The writing was full of quotes that were beautiful and well thought out. I was amazed at the connections throughout that I didn’t realize were there until near the end. The symbolization made to Shakespearean tragedies was incredible. You don’t have to be an intense lover of Shakespeare or theatre to enjoy this book, it’s just a bonus if you do happen to like those things. This will break your heart and make you think the characters deserved better, but it is also worth the time and money. I would give everything to read ... MoreI love Shakespeare with a burning passion and have always wanted to read something where it feels as if someone understands that fiery love, and with this book I’ve finally found that. The hardcover book is also extremely beautiful and I love the detailing inside the book! Another little bonus because it’s always nice to have a book that looks so welcoming.

Publisher's Review 'Enter the players. There were seven of us then, seven bright young things with wide precious futures ahead of us. Detective Colborne wants to know the truth, and after ten years, Oliver is finally ready to tell it.Ten years before: Oliver is one of seven young Shakespearean actors at Dellecher Classical Conservatory, a place of keen ambition and fierce competition. In this secluded world of firelight and leather-bound books, Oliver and his friends play the same roles onstage and off: hero, villain, tyrant, temptress, ingenue, extra. But in their fourth and final year, the balance of power begins to shift, good-natured rivalries turned ugly, and on opening night real violence invades the students' world of make believe. In this tale of loyalty and betrayal, madness and ecstasy, the players must choose what roles to play before the curtain falls.
