Quality:Very goodPerformance:Excellent.First headphone amp, use it with my Grado headphones. Very nice and so clear. I would describe the sound as warm and neutral. Very happy with it. Only I wish the seller would recommend a proper 5v external power source for the dac. The recommended ifi power supply is abt rm350.. Need a cheaper alternative.

I recently swapped from a wireless Bluetooth earbud system to a wired over the ear headphone system. It consisted of Sennheiser HD 620S headphones and a iFi Go Bar portable DAC/Amp. This is a great mobile system that travels with me everywhere. At home I wanted something easier to connect to and with better ergonomics. The iFi Zen DAC V3 fit the bill perfectly. It sits right next to my favorite listening chair with input cable and headphones alreadyconnected. All I need to do is connect the input USB-C cable to my phone or tablet, slip on my headphones, and I'm ready to go. This Zen DAc / Sennheiser combo blows me away with how much more detail I am hearing. This system fits all my listening needs and doesn't break the bank. Give it a listen and hear for yourself.

I bought this DAC from Cardiff. I went in to test the Chord Mojo 2 but it wasn't compatible with my Samsung 24 Ultra - it kept playing white noise. I'd gone in initially to try this with the Hifiman Sundara headphones.After trying the astell & kern and the ifi hipdac 2, i didn't hear much improvement between either. I asked if they had the zendac 3 and they unboxed a new unit for me.All i can say it wow, the difference was stunning. Absolutely delighted with my IFI-ZEN-DAC 3 which enables my Brennan B3 to work with my Sony amp.Dan said the listening experience would be greatly enhanced, and it is!
Very good sounding. Great value. Did pick up the optional power supply which seem to give it more punch. Well worth the money.
When it’s working it sounds great but it drops out after playing for a while and has to be unplugged and reset. I’ve opened a ticket with iFi’s help desk but they haven’t come up with a solution yet. Looks like I will be getting my money back.
This works amazingly well with my HD 600 and my collection of IEMs and doesn’t need any additional amplification. The sound is clear and x bass works well on some tracks. The DAC can be powered by the usb source alone and doesn’t necessarily need an external power supply even though it has the option of plugging external supply. All in all a solid buy that I’m really happy with.

I went to buy the Zen Dac v3 did not realise they only opened at 12 o’clock nocked on the door the gentleman open the shutters for me and said come in I explained what I needed sorted me and applied a £10 discount really happy with my Zen Dac V3 paired with my Zen Can and Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro.
