iFi Zen Blue 3 Lossless Bluetooth Transmitter and Receiver
Balanced Hi-Res Bluetooth DAC The wired world is changing. Where once cables were king, Bluetooth audio is now carving out a place for itself, and with the advent of Lossless Bluetooth audio, the gap between wired and wireless audiophile options is narrower than ever. The ZEN Blue 3 brings these two worlds together in spectacular fashion. Building on the resounding success of the ZEN Blue range, iFi Audio took everything that made those models great and dared to do more. Adding aptX Lossless was a small step. The giant leap came when iFi added USB DAC capability, and Bluetooth transmission. With USB, optical and even analogue inputs available, there have never been more ways to connect to the music you love, while enjoying the freedom of wireless Hi-Res audio. ZEN Blue 3 offers wireless audio that is free of compromise by incorporating Lossless Bluetooth audio, courtesy of Qualcomm s Flagship QCC518x Bluetooth audio chip and the aptX Lossless codec. TX / RX / DAC Modes New to the ZEN Blue 3 is three new operation modes including Bluetooth RX, TX, and DAC, while also featuring aptX Lossless Bluetooth codec to receive or transmit Lossless CD-quality and Hi-Res audio over Bluetooth and a switchable low-latency mode. ZEN Blue 3 allows you to stream lossless CD-quality music from your mobile phone to your Hi-Fi system. Home cinema lovers can also enjoy high-quality audio with Hi-Res Bluetooth headphones while watching movies at home, and much more.

Purchased from this website. Used Apple Pay. So not verified. Probably need to return. Used 10% off new product “fun” code.On paper, this is a great product. LDAC and APTX Lossless with a BT transmitter. A first for a small, basic, lowish priced, desktop DAC. Seems like a good build quality. But some problems….1. Comes with dedicated power brick. Good. A cheap analog 2 channel RCA cable. Why bother? And a USB-C to USB-B cable. UGH! It’s 2024 not 2019. C to C only please. I’m SO sick of this. But the REAL irritation is no optical to 3.5mm converter adapters. If you are going to put in non standard optical ports, dump the analog cable and throw in a couple optical to 3.5mm adapters. I have to order them now. And can’t use to DAC with other sources.2. ... MorePurchased from this website. Used Apple Pay. So not verified. Probably need to return. Documentation irregularities and confusion. Quick set up guide is WRONG with color indicator for audio format. Go online. And color CODEC indicator list is wrong or confusing on everything. SBC is black not grey. Dark blue and light blue. Pink or dark red? It’s pink.3. Volume control. I can’t verify this yet on anything else. See #1. I have the new Edifier Stax Spirit S5 headphones (with AptX lossless and LDAC) and iPad. When hardwired usb cable with iPad and TX to headphones. Regular reboots and volume control issues. Changing volume with headphone or iPad hard buttons causes drastic huge volume changes. Like 60% to FULL. Or not. You never know. And a strange double rise or drop on the volume bar. Also skipping songs or pauses, etc. will cause big volume level drops, but NOT visually, and then suddenly correct themselves with any volume changes. Setting up the iPad driver as fixed volume instead of variable would have helped with this. After all the DAC has pre amp volume control capability.

Perfect solution for adding bluetooth capabilities to my vintage 2-channel stereo system. Able to seamlessly stream from my cell phone. No instructions included, but setup was highly intuitive. Within two minutes of opening the box, I was up and running!
