This thing works great! Bought it for the security Torx, but I'm just impressed with it.Easy to use. The bits are easy to get it, but they don't fall out. Magnetic closure case is nice.If I could do it again though, I would have got the bigger tool - iFixit Pro Tech - kit that has this as part of it. I might still do that and just have a backup / travel bit set.Also want to point out that they have really good guides on their website. First time getting one of their products, but not my last.

This kit is pretty much the only option for any maker or tinkerer, they are very high quality, and the driver feels very great. For 40 dollars its almost the best screwdriver kit, even for someone who is just using it around the house. Ive used these on phones, laptops, and even camera gear. Overall the perfect addition to a workshop or even to your desk.By far the best part of the kit however, is the company. A very large company that supports right to repair and has guides for almost anything you want to fix? Sign me up!

It's hard to say anything about this because the simple fact it's an iFixit product says it all. It's absolute top quality and feels very premium, both in function and materials used. This kit in combination with the larger 1/4" driver seems to me to be the screwdriver kit to end all screwdriver kits. The Mako kit comes with a 4mm to 1/4" adapter meaning you can use all 64 bits with either driver, which, if you prefer to use a full-sized screwdriver, is perfect.Anyone who tends to repair their own products, or does any kind of manual work or DIY projects should own an iFixit driver kit. For the price, I don't think there is anything better out there. It's the ultimate screwdriver kit to add to your toolbox in my opinion.

Decided to give this kit a try after hearing all the rave reviews and it sure lives up to it's reputation! The case is made from high quality plastic that has strong magnets that keep the top and bottom portions together. (It's easy to open on that note as well)The high density foam keep all the bits neatly organized and it even has little imprints on it telling you which bit belongs in the slot. It can be a little hard to read if you have trouble seeing up close. The screw body itself is nicely weighed and makes it a breeze screwing and unscrewing smaller screws and such. Over the years I’ve amassed a collection of screwdrivers and custom bits for working on devices. I decided to spend a few dollars to have a consolidated set - and the quality of life improvement was unexpected. Aside from having all of the functionality in a single set; the thoughtful features have made it very nice to use - things like the storage space in the cover; the magnetic attachment of the cover (which can also be used to have the cover snap to the back while you’re using it; if you don’t want to use it as a parts tray); to the quality of the attachments themselves. Great little kit; my only question is if I should have spent a bit more for the set with more pieces.
Frankly it’s a good set, but way over priced for what you get. There are so many options on the market for far less money. The company relies on “name brand” recognition rather than quality and value. I bought this as it is what I needed and didn’t want to pay double just to upgrade the kit to add on the plastic spudges and such. But as a backup went down to Lowe’s and picked up their Kobalt electronics kit (virtually identical) for a portion of the price of this kit, AND it included spudges, tweezers, etc. Promptly went back to BB and returned this kit. They are simply screw drivers at the bottom line and IFixit chooses to price gouge. Shame when they are decent kits.

The extension is very durable and can be used for anything where you need a little bit of a reach. The bits are very quality and all labeled on the bit which is very helpful for identifying them if they were to fall out. It's also just a pretty good value for what you're getting.The cons: For one, if you're getting this to repair all of your electronic gear, you should know it does not have a small enough size for a Samsung Galaxy active 2 smartwatch. It is a machined, bead blasted and anodized piece of aluminum riding on a BEARING.Flex Shaft- Sturdy, with free-spinning collars on each end.- The input and output sockets are machined to the same high standards as the handle.- The bit holder on the shaft uses a spring clip to retain the bits, rather than a magnet. It seems like a downgrade at first, but then you realize it hold the bit much tighter than the magnet in the handle, reducing the chance of it getting left behind in a place you can't get your fingers into.Bits- Machined (not sintered) from proper tool steel, then coated to prevent corrosion.- Torx range starts at T2 where most start at T3.- JIS bits are the miracle you didn't know you needed. All those tiny Phillips screws that you've been stripping out? Those are JIS. You're welcome.On top of all this, iFixit provides a lifetime warranty. You just can't beat it.
