Conversely the smaller version of these glasses are too small for adequate hydration after just one glass full.)Good colour range-( please bring back the moss green in the large size.)Have had this type of glasses for over 10 years.However cracks if you put cold tap water, when glasses come out of the dish washer- the glass needs to be toughened.Would benefit from being safety glass, when they break.Over time and dishwasher use can have a scratched appearance- but this would be normal wear and tear for any type of glass.

The warm, translucent pale brown color blends beautifully and naturally with everything. My dining table looks fabulous. Also, my son likes the size of these. Our other Kartio glasses I bought 30 years ago an they are slightly smaller. (Yes, these glasses will last 30 years if you don't drop them!)

I bought the taller ones in smokey and the smaller ones in water green (perfect for orange juice). I love these. These are a recreation of the Kaj Franck design from 1958. You can find the originals in museums. These are an everyday glass.
Beautiful colour , great weight , they are quite small but very comfortable to drink out of . Good for bedside table water . They make the water look lovely, very elegant . I bought the larger ones as well . The opening is perfect as some glass openings are too small, the width of the actual glass wall is perfect others are too thin . They are very beautiful, simple, robust and dishwasher safe everyday glasses. Despite the robust and thick-walled nature, they do not look cheap. Kaj Franck has perfectly balanced the conical shape in its proportions. I now have a real collection of Kartio glasses, because there are so many appealing colours. My previous favourite colour "Emerald" will be replaced this year by the current Iittala colour of the year "Linen". The colour fascinates me totally and therefore I have already reordered the second time. It is a restrained and "light" colour. Firstly, the colors that these Kartio Medium Tumblers come in are so joyful! They remind me of seaglass, so I have a nice collection of colors. These will dot my table top with ocean colors to compliment the neutral palette of my Teema White Dinnerware. I keep a stack of them on the counter, all different colors. The volume is perfect portion for any fruit juice, or a quick shot of milk. I have used them for wine as well - Italian Style. The glass is crystal clear, and has remained so for years now. They are sturdy and feel solid in the hand.
These littala Kartio glasses are exceptional quality, with a perfect match of form to function. The only quirk is in the color names. I consider our "aqua" glasses to be more royal blue, while our "water green" glasses are actually aqua!FinnStyle does an outstanding job of shipping these glasses very quickly with care-- all for the price of standard ground delivery.
Just received the Iittala Kartio tumblers and they are more beautiful than in the pictures. I am so pleased with my purchase. Light reflects from them in a stunning way making my everyday table setting special. Quality, style and color are all outstanding. Highly recommended.
Anyone who has considered these drinking glasses probably knows what they are getting into: a simple design without frills, the thickness of the glasses and the good rounding make for a pleasant mouthfeel when drinking, are easy to hold. Not particularly elegant, but with simple crockery, especially in the small version, it can also be used for finer occasions. Can also be well varied by choice of colour.What I didn't know: The glasses have small deviations in shape, e.g. are sometimes almost a bit oval instead of round. Mouth-blown?A glass was shaking on the table, this one went back. We are very comfortable with the small peculiarities of the others and are satisfied overall.
