Iittala's Kastehelmi bowl is part of the beloved glass collection of the same name designed by Oiva Toikka. The small bowl is adorned with the charming colour of calluna, a shade that both illustrates the northern forests and is a perfect example of Iittala's exceptional colour skills at the same time. The Kastehelmi bowl can be used, for example, for serving dessert or snacks. In the 1960s, designer and artist Oiva Toikka set out to create a surface pattern that would conceal the joint marks in pressed glass. The result was Kastehelmi, Finnish for dewdrop, designed in 1964. Featuring delicate glass droplets arranged in a series of rings, Kastehelmi plays with light in the most beautiful way.
