Bought one of these to take for a week in Aus. I knew I could borrow a guitar over there to practice with, and I packed my iLoud Micro monitors, because they're so small and light to take in my suitcase. It would have been a complete overkill to take my FM9, so I decided to grab a Tonex One.I actually ended up playing it through a friend's Fender FR10 while over there, and it sounded pretty awesome. I was just using a couple the built-in presets (Soldano SLO-100 and a Dumble Overdrive.Things I like:- The size and weight- The sound quality of the models (not quite a Fractal, but very usable)- The wide range of models- The excellent value for moneyThings I don't like so much:- The controls are fiddly- the reverb is pretty sucky if mixed in more than about 10% ... MoreBought one of these to take for a week in Aus. This is pretty much the only other effect that I use regularly, so it would be handy. Having said that, I've just read that there's an update coming up in November that will add a few more effects, including delay (with, I hope, a tap tempo option). It'll be very interesting to see how they implement this on the Tonex One.Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with, and impressed by, this pedal. And I would add that Rubber Monkey, as usual, delivered promptly and without fuss. Well done, guys! :-)

Overall:They must be aliens. There's no way humans came up with something like this. I bought the Tonex Pedal a while back and to be honest, had a hard time understanding it. Almost like it had too many functions and I got frustrated. When the Tonex One came out I figured I'd give the folks at IK another try. Glad I did. The Tonex One simplifies the user experience for a user like me. There are a finite number of things to remember on the actual pedal in order to operate it properly and those things are all very intuitive. Hooking up to the computer is easy and the unit can be powered by a USB port which is brilliant. The Tonex software is great but again, you need to have an understanding of how the developers structured it. Once I got my head around it, I was off ... MoreOverall:They must be aliens. The Tonex software is great but again, you need to have an understanding of how the developers structured it. Once I got my head around it, I was off and running. The biggest challenge was understanding which input and output choices to make but I got that figured out. Building presets is easy and the ability to audition tones directly in the program is a game changer. Even without the pedal you can build presets just sitting on the couch with a glass of Bulleit, neat. Integration with my rig and playing those first few notes brought a huge smile to my face. It was almost a moment of relief, knowing that now I have improved my setup and tone to a level that to date can't be surpassed. Each amp model has such a distinct personality and even the slightest adjustments can be heard. There are tons of cabs available and the virtual cabs are fantastic. As for feel, the amp reacts the same as the physical version. Natural power stage compression is what so many digital modelers strive for but never really achieve. The Tonex One has it. Digging in brings out the tone dynamics while keeping the levels correct. The size is so perfect. You can mount this anywhere on your board (even underneath if you set it and forget it).I plan on capturing my amps later today and am looking forward to the result. This pedal will create a revolution in the industry and there are a lot of R&D folks at some of the major manufacturers sweating bullets right now. IK is going to sell a ton of these. At around the price of a normal pedal its almost silly not to own. Heck, I'll likely buy a 2nd one.

A really great little pedal. The amp sounds are pretty amazing. The form factor is crazy. I have a Kemper, and it is kind of mind blowing that this kind of thing is available in a device this small. The only draw back so far is the software. I’d rate it 5 stars if the software was better. The global input gain out of the box was awful, and made all of the amps sound awful. The setting that needed to be adjusted was also not obvious (like the input on the lower left corner of the ToneX software interface). The workflow of the software could definitely be seriously improved. You can control most of the features from the pedal, using a combination of button presses, which is a plus.Bus powered with the included USB-C cable. Like the Kemper, it is limited to 44.1Khz when used as an interface.Overall, for the money it is pretty amazing, even if the software could use improvement. Really impressive technology. Recommended.

This pedal works a treat. Its functions are really easy and amazing, from amp models to IRs and drive pedals. It is really cool .The only down side is the reverb is not very good , it is ok . Just not great .The software included.Tonex se , has most of what I imagine the majority of people would ever really need , with the included amp/Cab/drive models included.Tone net , is also very good , with thousands of tone models to choose from!Amplitude 5se , this was a big disappointment, I was shocked to see how few amp / models were in this release ,And they think people should buy this ?The only thing I liked about this version of amplitude , is that I didn’t buy it .Think I will stick with my amplitude 4 deluxe .
Using this as an full rig with a overdrive in front and delay after. Love the integrated tuner which saves another pedal. The SW is a little hard to get working but once you figure it out you can download lot of ToneNet presets and pretty sure you'll find some that work for you. I settled on a couple lower gain Plexi tones which sounds as good as my UAFX Lion. Nice that it has built in reverb but haven't figured out how to change from spring to plate which seems to be an option in the SW? Power supply for this is important since I had a high pitch hum when I string more than one pedal to a supply (this hum was not in the UAFX Lion at all).
