Was so happy when this came back in to stock. I first purchased this for myself and brought it to my moms to use in Thanksgiving festivities. She liked it and wanted it so I gave it to her. Beautiful piece. Can’t wait to use it for charcuterie July 4th.

This is an excellent bamboo cutting board. I purchased two. One was a gift, and the other is the perfect size to keep on top of a Breville SMART Toast R Oven air fryer. But the breville cutting board is 4x the price. I keep silicone hot pad between the two, so the wood doesn't get too hot.

This is an excellent bamboo cutting board. I purchased two. One was a gift, and the other is the perfect size to keep on top of a Breville SMART Toast R Oven air fryer. But the breville cutting board is 4x the price. I keep silicone hot pad between the two, so the wood doesn't get too hot.
So, I'm not sure how I feel about these. I wanted to cover my Condo's Formica counter tops so that they wouldn't get all stained and marked up. For that, they're great because the height of them is short enough that there is room for all of my appliances against the back of the counter, and then I placed these along the front where the leftover counter is showing. They look really nice, but I am not really using them for cutting because they get marked up with knife slices really easily, and also when you get them (quick rinse...do NOT ever saturate them) wet to wipe them down, the wood immediately swells and gets rough. I can often feel little shards that would likely end up in food, so I am really only using them as a counter covering. I ended up oiling them with ... MoreSo, I'm not sure how I feel about these. I've never had a bamboo cutting board before so maybe this is how they all are & I think if I was to take them outside and rally sand them good, that this could possibly help, but I haven't done that. Also, keep in mind that there is no way any air can get underneath these, so you need to be sure the underside is always kept completely dry before laying them on the counter for any length of time to prevent mold & warping.
First a general note, bamboo is a laminated product that will separate if soaked in water or placed in the dishwasher. It should be wiped down with mineral oil at least every month. This applies to ALL bamboo cutting boards. I actually make customized cutting boards for a realtor friend to give as housewarming gifts. I bought four of these as they are much less expensive than simply buying bamboo lumber. If you have similar ideas, be aware that these boards are 5/8 thick and have a 1/8 slope on each edge. Not a big deal, but good to know.
This is the second one I've purchased, as the smaller version quickly became my favorite! Sturdy, easy to clean, large but not bulky/ good proportions. I've used the small version for many months and it has held up very well.
I didn't get this to be a cutting board although it would be very good for its intended purpose. I needed a flat sturdy portable surface to tape down watercolor paper for moistening and then painting. It needed to be large enough, not too heavy, no grooves, and be able to take getting wet and be able to adhere tape to and remove without residue.Wow! Less than $10. Every requirement checked off.It looks real nice too.
Overall this is a fine cutting board; took conditioning oil well, has held up to many handwashings, dried quickly. However, all the edges are angled (not 90 degrees), so if you planned to lean it against the wall - like many people do with cutting boards - it's more often than not going to slide down, so I deducted a star.
Have used Ikea cutting boards in the past and love them. This board is made of bamboo and was expecting a long life out of it, but this board started splintering chips form the middle of the board from day 1. Need to return it . Getting a new one hoping this was just a faulty piece.
I have a super small kitchen with almost no counter space, and bought a second one for when the first isn't clean. I am used to much larger cutting boards, but this works as well for most things without taking up much space. the bamboo holds up really well, kind of prefer it to traditional wood.
