I would love to leave a review of this bed frame, but it was shipped to me without the necessary king size slat base upon which to rest the mattress, so instead I only have the pleasure of looking at the large heavy ikea boxes containing (what I can only hope are) all the other required pieces. It’s been over a month without a single inventory update. How are you selling these frames as complete sets & then refunding $40 for a missing major component after the rest has been shipped?? I would have preferred to wait for the complete package that I purchased (I have receipts saying at the time of my purchase everything was in stock). I understand that issues with inventory happen, but I’m the one who’s suffering the consequences of someone’s inaccurate counts. At the ... At the very least I’d love an update on when I can expect this slat base (501.602.13 Luröy Slatted Bed Base, King) to be back in stock. I’ve spoken with a handful of lovely customer service reps who were unable to help me with this issue, though they have all been kind, professional, & done their best to assist.Any chance someone at ikea will read this review & help me out? We’ll see.The boxes are nice, I guess. Really gives my living room that industrial warehouse feel we all crave.... Show more

Abundance of storage in a small space
Took 1 star after over a year wait to get headboard & frame in matching color-I would have taken any color but never avail-finally just got what was available(gray HB,blk frame) & used contact paper(gold & gold frosted for drawers & insert accents). It took about 3 weeks to cover each piece & assemble solo (57/f)-use help if you can bc headboard really awkward until placed where you want it. Re storage-there is NO wasted space under bed! The drawers are large & enclosed,as opposed to similar beds I’ve seen online(from site that starts w A ends in N)that are open wire basket types. They open all the way, smooth roll/sturdy! In 4 drawers, I placed stuff from 12 drawers from former bedroom set with room to spare.Able to fish electric blkt cords thru base. See review on ... Best space saving bed
I am a ikea everything, so building the bed was not confusing to me but if you never built anything from IKEA then you might need some help or I advise you to look up the item you are about to build in U2 and watch someone else build it first before you even try. The best thing about this bed is the four drawers underneath they are very deep very wide and hold all my clothes into drawers are use the other one for my blankets and bedsheets and another one to store my shoes. I love how it can easily be move side to side softly and easily. The only thing I would say that is you’re going to buy this bad you have to understand that you need extra room in your room to be able to open the drawers underneath to get your items out unless you’re using the drawers for items ... I got this so that my small room don’t feel like is overcrowded with just a whole bunch of dressers. The drawers close smoothly and my mattress feels much bigger in this bed. It is a little lower than most bad but not too low that you feel like you’re on the floor. You definitely need two people to build this bed. You do not need a box spring for this bed.... Show more

Good, but misleading
Just got this recently and went through the building process. In the store the display showed everything was included except for the mattress, which I expected would be separate. When I got to building it I made it to the part where you have to insert a metal support strut down the middle and discovered.... There was no strut included! Why would IKEA sell the larger size models without arguably the most important part of it? Now I have to wait until the morning to drive out to buy the part. As a warning, this also didnt include the wooden support slats for the mattress. I was lucky in that I bought a set since I wanted the higher tiered version for the bed. Aside from the missing parts its very solid and doesnt wobble when being pushed into place. Please make it ... MoreJust got this recently and went through the building process. Great bed. Highly recommend
I got this bed in queen size in 2020.I have moved twice since then, so I have had to dismantle it twice and reassemble it thrice. Didn't have any issues. It's always fun doing it and the instructions on the manual are pretty straightforward.Just be patient, follow the instructions and picture illustrations, you should be fine. Consider it a fun activity.I did all assembly and dismantling alone. I am 150 lbs. I needed Power screw driver make things faster. The tools provided were equally helpful from short screws. The bed is very sturdy. I have had no issues with the material. The drawers are very spacious. The bed has the option to place the slats at a higher position, so your mattress can be higher, if you want a much higher bed.You need to be careful when ... This would scratch off the top finishing on the bed.Overall, the bed has served me well. No complains. Highly recommend... Show more

Great bed with modifications
We purchased this bed in 2016 and have been using it with the beam support, a box spring, adjustable bed base and a 15” mattress. We immediately switched out the drawer handles and used rounded drawer knobs instead. The bar style handles kept slicing our ankles getting in and out of bed. The drawers can hold quite a bit and I used my side as my dresser - I admit I over packed the drawers and eventually the bottom warped but, it’s still usable even with 50 pounds of clothes (mostly denim). We are pleased with this purchase and are now replacing it with a brand new one. This bed also pairs very nicely with the besta cabinets and drawers hanging on the wall as a floating nightstand so the drawers aren’t obstructed from use.... Love!!
We live in a two bedroom home and have a small bedroom in Bakersfield, Ca. Originally we bought a full size brimnes bed frame and headboard and fit well for two adults but my husband’s feet would touch the very end, so decided to get the queen instead. We loved that we were able to return and purchase the full size bed frame and headboard. We love the 4 big storage drawers on the bottom of the bed frame and we love the side shelves on the headboard and the top of the headboard to place things like Cellphone, alarm and such. After having this up for several weeks and opening and closing the drawers frequently, I think we will need to tighten the handles to the drawers. Every once in a while our ankles hit the handles, ouch! We like the style of the handles but we ... MoreWe live in a two bedroom home and have a small bedroom in Bakersfield, Ca. I don’t know how long the bed will last us but we will enjoy it while it does. It’s practical, saves space, adds storage and brings style to our bedroom. Highly recommend!... Show more

Nice bed but we had to go back to IKEA twice
We bought a full size Brimnes bed and mattress. We asked the sales person if we had to pick up any boxes from the shelves and she said no because we asked for delivery. My son put it together and after few hours we saw the support beam in the instructions, we looked in the empty boxes and we couldn't find it, the same for the slatted base, it was in the instructions but not in the boxes. At 9pm we called the help number, someone on the phone told use that we were supposed to pick both up from the shelves and purchased them. So that night my son had to sleep on the old mattress on the floor. The next day we went to IKEA and purchased the SKORVA support beam for 15$ but the slatted base was out of stock and were told to go back in a week.... and of course pay for it ... Pieces don’t attach to each other
Due to unfortunate circumstances I have been without a bed for over six months. I had an ikea bed similar to this before my basement flooded and I had to discard it. Looking for similar options I found this and was excited to see that they had a grey which was the color I wanted unfortunately it was out of stock. I registered for the email me when this item was in stock and over 8 times the request expired from the item never being restocked. I called multiple times to find out when the item would be in stock and either got no information or false information of when the item would be back. I would wait until the specified date only for the item to not be restocked. I settled for the black version of this bed. I’ve only gotten to step 5 following the directions only ... Really great bed, but quite high
This bed is great it is nice and with amazing storage.Pretty straight forward to build just takes some time. Would recommend a drill to make it go a little faster. Note: we also turned this bed around. The top end doesn't have the shaker style (indent/frame) so we put this plan end at the bottom on display. It looks much sleeker and modern with this and go with a lot more styles.TLDR - get Luroy not Lonset slats with this bed, otherwise bed too high, with a thick mattressWarning this bed is quite high. This lead to an issue where we had original upgraded to the Lonset slats. These slats are quite high (10cm) so even with the bed frame set to the lower level the mattress only had about 2 cm to sit into the frame. (With the frame set to the higher level the Lonset ... These slats are quite high (10cm) so even with the bed frame set to the lower level the mattress only had about 2 cm to sit into the frame. (With the frame set to the higher level the Lonset slats pretty much sat flush with the top of the sides of the bed.) These Lonset slats would be fine if you had a thin mattress, but with many mattress today they are quite high (ours is 29cm high). With the lonset slats on the lower level, and our high mattress the bed was really high. I had to climb into the bed, my feet couldn't touch the floor when sitting on the side (and I'm not short). We ended up returning the lonset slats (I hope someone appreciated buying the pre-built slats in the as-is section, they took forever to build) and buying the luroy slats (saved $60). With the luroy slats (about 2cm high) and our high mattress the bed is fine now still a higher bed, but gives a grand look while not looking super high & silly. We had the bed for about a month now and no issues (apart from the hight) so far. No squeaking as others have mentioned, I was worried about this, but it has been fine. The draws open and close well and stores lost of stuff.... Show more
