So I received this as a baby shower gift, I needed a new bed with storage that didn't take up a ton of floor space but was roomy enough so we settled on this as it was on sale for $300 at the time and a good deal. Well, turns out this is the absolute worst bed frame I've ever used; assembly assistance was also purchased so it's not like it was an assembly error either. We'll start with the frame itself, if you have carpet or a rug the drawers won't open easily and a lot of the time the rug gets caught on the drawers so it lifts, even with rug tape and double sided tape. The slats; the worst part y'all. The heaviest I got while pregnant was 150, not big at all, these slats though even with just me making the bed and laying on it the mattress would cave in because ... MoreSo I received this as a baby shower gift, I needed a new bed with storage that didn't take up a ton of floor space but was roomy enough so we settled on this as it was on sale for $300 at the time and a good deal. I thought this was fine for the 5 years we've had it until we recently moved and discovered the bottom long pieces were broken. Looking at it it's totally a design flaw. They have heavy pieces going across the center of the long pieces where there are holes to join pieces together. The holes, of course, weaken the long boards and the cross pieces rest on the weakest point. We didn't notice because we've never moved our bed but I think many will find once they go to move they have the same issue. I cannot purchase replacement pieces, I've been told that's just not an option unless someone happens to turn in a bed with working pieces. So our current solution is duct tape. It's not a long term fix though. Love this bed. It’s exactly what I was looking for to save room in a small bedroom. The drawers are more spacious than I realized! Also they slide well (sounds weird but hopefully you know what I mean). This bed does not feel cheap. I feel confident it will last for a long time. Happy with my purchase and will be purchasing it again for my other son’s bedroom. Also i was really confused on which slats to select. I went with the cheaper ones forget what they are called and they are perfect. Also bought a thick Zinus mattress from Amazon to go with it. I was nervous it would be too big but i was able to make it work. This really is a great bed! My kids love it. Ps I highly recommend following a you tube video for set up. IKEA instructions are always a bit confusing.

Ikea should be ashamed.

Normally, I'm the one others reach out to for help when they need to build Ikea furniture, but this bed frame will be the reason why I start telling people no and why we won't be purchasing more Ikea furniture.1) Grey set uses same inner part colors for the drawers as the black set. This is not shown in listing.2) Small parts are unorganized in bags. They used to be neatly organized by part.3) Sequence of steps in manual create situations where you need to move the frame in ways that can/will break it.4) Small part images in manual are scaled down 10%. (used to be 1:1)5) Parts are not numbered/labeled.6) Orientation indicators in manual are extremely vague.7) There is no bottom support for the center of frame. (see bottom of both end pieces of the fame).& so much more I couldn't fit into the character limit.

Love it but…

My daughter absolutely loves this bed. It’s sturdy and I love the big drawers underneath. But (and I know this is my fault) be aware the wooden slats are not included when you buy this bed. I bought the bed online and had it delivered. I got to the very last step putting it together and thought they forgot to deliver a piece but nope! Had to make a trip to ikea at 7pm just so I could finish putting the bed together. They need to make it more obvious when buying the bed online that you must buy the wooden slats separately! Don’t make the same mistake! Otherwise we absolutely love this frame and have no complaints!

New bed...
26 March 2024

I have only slept on the floor and when I got older I got a mattress and metal frame. Last year I got sick and now I have disabilities which requires me needing a new mattress and bed frame.I searched for a long time and a friend suggested to try Ikea. This bed frame fits my needs and wants and was at a price I could afford. Putting this together was not difficult except for a fun dog and me getting in the way. I was even able to assemble the drawers myself.A month into using the bed frame and everything has been good. I will make changes soon, like adding lights, not saying the bed frame needs lights, I need lights. Now I will see how the bed frame holds over time.

This bed brought me pain instead of Joy

I have been meaning to provide this feedback but overtaken by life's events. I decided to do this as a way of caution to others. I purchased this bed over a year ago. I saw it first with a friend and the beauty caught my attention, making me purchase it and recommend to 3 other friends. However, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment as I didn't even have the chance to enjoy it before it completely shattered. The bed rest fell clamping my son's hand, and he's still suffering from the effects of that injury. One of the drawers is scattered, refusing to move back in and now a hazard in our home as each of keep bumping into it over and over. I saved up for months to get this bed, but it seems like my hard-earned money has gone down the drain. It now constitutes a liability and I regret ever buying it.

If you put this bed together properly, or have it put together properly, it will be strong, and function perfectly. I am reading reviews about it "shattering" or that it "falls apart", or that the "slats move and cave in." These comments are likely due to improper assembly. I bought the wider slats, that are yellowish (birch) color. They are supposed to be secured in place during assembly per the instructions. I weight 120lbs and my husband weighs 250lbs. This bed holds us and our 15" high heavy mattress without issues. This is a solid well made bed once assembled correctly. Do make sure all of the screws/fasteners on the drawer tracts are very tight or else the drawers might not open and close smoothly. Wish it lasted longer

I bought this bed 5 years ago. We recently moved and took it apart for the first time and when we did we noticed that 2 of the long wood pieces that sit on the floor were broken. One was cracked (but still hanging together) and the other was totally split through. I feel like these pieces shouldn't have broken. I could understand if a slat broke because I'm laying right on the slats but for this piece to break it seems strange. I called about a warranty only to be told there is no warranty and the solution offered to me is to go to a hardware store and have something fashioned that will work. This is the second Ikea bed that has only lasted about 5-6 years. For Ikea proclaiming their love of sustainability I would expect major items to last longer.

This is by far, one of the worst experiences I ever had while shopping stuff from Ikea.Bought this bed 1 week ago. Ikea had the fantastic idea of not sending half the pieces needed. They sent the bed frame but they forgot the most important parts. I had to buy the LURÖY and pay for delivery + taxes (plus the waiting) separately. 2 Days later, I realized they FORGOT to send another important piece of the fricking bed, the center support beam (I'm still waiting for it). One week since I bought it and I still have half of the bed built in the middle of the living room, while I wait for them to send the remaining pieces, (Of course, not a priority nor a single apology from them).Besides, the quality of the bed is not good at all, I should've trusted the negative ... MoreThis is by far, one of the worst experiences I ever had while shopping stuff from Ikea.Bought this bed 1 week ago.
