My son 3 who is level 2 autistic with ADHD and PDA LOVEEEES this chair. It helps him to regulate and calms him. It’s literally amazing. When he was diagnosed they had one at his assessment and it was the only thing that helped him regulate so we bought one and I can’t begin to tel you how worth it it is for him! 💚💚

I bought 2. The grandkids loved them (ages 4 & 6) but immediately started spinning themselves and friends around in it - certainly not what I intended and I fear they'll break them soon. Disappointed with red "pad" on bottom. It's not actually a pad, but hard plastic. For comfort, my daughter will put a chair pad inside. The awning or shade is a BIG miss. It's unbreathable plastic, which I didn't realize until assembling it. Although a child can't seal themselves completely inside - I checked, and it doesn't lock down tight although the 4 y/o was trying her best to close the gap and seal herself in - I consider the plastic covering to be a huge design flaw. A breathable fabric shade would be much safer.

Absolutely cute and adorable. My daycare kiddos are all in their own zones when they close the egg. It can a little dangerous though, when the swiveling gets out of control. But for the most part, it’s low enough to the ground for the tiny tots or creepy crawlers (11m olds). Only thing I wish it had a swivel stopper so I can be on control of when I want it to swivel or stay in place to avoid our beginner crawlers and walkers from taking a hard fall once it swivels.

I found this chair to be a great addition to our home and my kids development. The swivel function is nice but the biggest novelty and benefit for my kid is the hood.He uses it as a hiding spot when playing or when we wants his own privacy when having supervised screen time with his tablet.However, as a parent and home owner, there are 2 features I miss on it.1.- Why not a softer- to- touch and a warmer/neutral color for the textile of the hood? White is the worst enemy for a parent. My kid, at his current age, is constantly playing on the ground, interacting with all kinds of surfaces, foods and mouth. His hands are never clean. I don't want the trouble of having to frequently having to dismount and wash the hood. It would be nice to have alternative textile ... I bought this chair as a gift for my nephew. I had it shipped since the nearest store was two hours away. Paid $108 for the chair and $40 for shipping. Chair arrived unwrapped. Which meant it was filthy. Had grease stains and was dented. Called IKEA and their way of making things right was giving me a $21 discount. Absolutely ridiculous. Buyer beware. IKEA will not make any effort to make sure a large item like this arrives in good condition. Had I known I would receive such a poorly cared for product I would’ve never ordered it online. IKEA you lost a customer and I know that means nothing for such a big corporation. You sent me a product that you probably wouldn’t display in your stores.
10 out of 10 for this chair. I love the size of it and fits my 4 and 6 years old's in it perfectly on their own with plenty of room. Both my children love anything to do with having their own space to hide away in plus the movement and spinning of the chair is perfect for my two who don't sit still because of their neurodiversity. The only thing I would like better, if it wasn't white or had other colour options available.
Bummed to find while putting the chair together that the red part (part #10096522) doesn’t snap into the base like it is supposed to, which means the chair easily falls out of the base. Looked up the part on the spare parts page it is unavailable to order. So frustrated this makes our chair unusable!
My five year old helped me put this together in Less than 10 minutes. Our three year old also enjoys this chair a lot as did our 18 year old daughter and friends did with her friends when she was around their age. It’s a great place to read a book, have time alone or have another kid spin you. Someone’s always hiding in there when they’re playing hide and go seek. Lots of fun and doesn’t take up a lot of space. Recommend this. We wish they still had other colors. Recommend for kids 2 to maybe 10 depending on the height and weight of your kid. Fun, Fun, Fun!!!
Part 10096522 (the part that connects the base to the seat) won't click in fully. This causes the chair to be unstable and come apart at the slightest movement. It's almost as if it's a few mm too short to fully connect. Very disappointing.
I bought this today but as I tried to assemble it at home., but it was impossible to connect the base to the seat (the part that connects the two is not the right size to click into place). The seat is unsafe and unusable. I called customer service and their suggestion was to go back to the store (a 1hr+ drive each way). Clearly this is a recurrent problem but these units are STILL sold as is. Very disappointing.
